I have always liked Vandermark's _Caffeine_ album for some good bass clarinet
music of his. It's on Okka and from their webpage http://www.okkadisk.com/
it's marked sadly as SOLD OUT. Keep an eye out for used copies.
I like the recommendations others have made for other artists and would also
add:
Harry Sparnaay _Ladder Of Escape_ Attacca
Contains chamber music compositions plus a version of "God Bless the Child".
Absolutely amazing performances. Cadence stocks this.

I have to agree with the folks that are having trouble getting in to this
recording. The fluctuaing tones in the "electronic" piece are interesting I
suppose.
What is the distinction between "electronic" and "computer" i.e. what types
of instruments were used to create the "electronic" piece?

then I noticed it's not on the CD. Anybody know why?

Here's a rather belated answer. They're playing for free at Stern Grove
In San Francisco August 12. The website(sterngrove.org) says its their
premiere concert. I don't know if there are others after. The following is
a blurb from the website. Cheers,

>>Join us for an exciting world premiere performance by the artists featured
on the album Tabla Beat Science - Tala Matrix, a hypnotic synthesis of
classical Indian rhythms with electronica. Appearing for the first time live
together will be one of the world's foremost tabla players, Zakir Hussain,
legendary producer and bassist Bill Laswell, "Asian underground" producer and
percussionist Talvin Singh, sarangi master Ustad Sultan Khan, and "Asian
Massive" producer/tabla/multi-instrumentalist Karsh Kale. This rare concert
offers a voyage through traditional music, culminating in a futuristic blend
of classical Indian rhythms with elements of modern music. Be sure to join us

Apparently the 52's didn't manage to have clear the copyrights / obtain
permission when the album was re-issued on CD. (bad Yoko Ono)
Note: There is also an LP version which has "Moon 83" instead of "Don't
Worry" - says the discography at

These might have been two separte concerts on a single issue. The
barrondown concert in Mozg club, Bydgoszcz (northern Poland) was one
of the best live shows i've been to. If this is it, go catch it. The
frith part might be one two conceerts he gave there; or guitar quartet
(that was fantastic i've not been to the solo shows, but i've been
told that they were impressive)

Zorn-agains,
Been to NorthSeaJazz yesterday. Seen Han Bennink, Karta (M Stockhausen),
Farmers Market (Stian Carstersen) and Michel Portal's Dockings band with
Markus Stockhausen and Joey Baron.
I cannot stress enough how wonderful that last concert was. Go out and get
the Dockings CD if you can find it. It's on 'Label Blue'
(contact@label-blue.fr). It came close to a Masada experience:
bassclarinet/trumpet/bass/drums (+piano). Just incredible and fast
interplay! It became obvious that Portal rehearsed only with the piano
player and the bass player. Joey Baron only greeted Portal ten minutes
before the concert. The old-looking bearded drummer had a hard time
remembering the songs since recording them in 1997. He pulled it off but
not without some hesitations only apparent to those who were familiar with
the CD release. Stockhausen also refrained from playing on the
non-dockings tracks leaving him standing in the wings for quite some time.
If you like Masada, if you like bass clarinet flavours, then get D O C K I
N G S.
