  39. Last month Brit magazine Jazzwise mentioned that Bill Laswell has just done
  40. a "Panthalassa" to the second Tony Williams Lifetime album Turn It Over.

  42. Meant to be ground shaking and with an extra 20 minutes including "the
  43. fiercest McLaughlin guitar ever heard".

  108. as he was by his disliker. Seeing bands like Fantomas,
  109. in fact seeing Fantomas was the best musical
  110. experience of my life....fair enough, you say he
  111. should stick to rock music....but then you listen to
  112. Rumori Nutrienti on his solo album and its fantastic.
  113. I have heard many a saxophone solo by Zorn which
  114. includes pieces from that tune (which Patton wrote
  115. note for note, I asked him myself), he can't be all
  116. that bad if the great man uses his ideas.

  139. I was saying that in the context of the Victo show with the X-Ecutioners (they
  140. were the expansive toy).

  142. I like Patton in a rock context where he is successful at spicing things up
  143. with some experimentation. But when playing in the pure field of experimental
  144. music, I am not impressed at all by what he can bring to the table.

  388. conducted during the evening.

  392. embrace fortress, sun in my mouth, aurora and are in no particular 
  393. order here what so ever. It is NOT a complete list. The cities 
  394. confirmed for concerts around the release of Vespertine are Paris, 
  395. New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and London. It would be totally 
  396. irresponsible to try to describe what is to be expected at these 
  397. events, so it will not be done, but what will be said is that we are 
  398. and will be in for a treat and an experience over the next few 
  399. months. Ofcourse if we get confirmed dates/news we will be the first 
  400. ones to publish...

  402. Which brings us the next topic burning on our minds, namely the 
  403. visual aspect of things to come, the video. Bj=F6rk will be teaming up 
  404. with Paul White for one video, the last one they did was Hunter. Inez 
  405. Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin are to tackle one song, but they 
  406. did the photographs for Volumen. And lastly we might indeed see Bj=F6rk 
  407. direct herself. And again these are not in a chronological order or 
  408. have we got definite songs for the videos. C'est La Vie! :)

  610. Ulrichsberg, Austria. dach is an environmental improv record, in the=20
  611. tradition of Derek Bailey/Min Tanaka-Music And Dance (Revenant). Only the=20
  612. rain falling on the white plastic roof is audible as the performance begins.=

  614. As the sun gradually emerges, warming the roof's metal supports, the creakin=
  615. g=20
  616. and cracking roof becomes a fourth sound source for the remainder of the=20
  617. performance. The artwork is composed entirely of photos of the venue,=20
  618. primarily of the roof, as captured by Olga Dafeldecker. dach occupies the=20
  619. zone between silence and sound, forcing the listener into a state of=20
  620. hyperawareness.
