Good point but...
Yello has always recyled their sounds. I hear sounds and musical phrases in
Pocet U that date back to Claro Que Si.
This album is new to me. It's much jazzier and housier than ever before.
Night train is one of my very favorites too.
Well just my thoughts are Yello always sounds like Yello. No matter what. I
always hear sounds though out the entire album spetrum that are borrowed from
each other.
:)

I wasn't aware we had a 'charter' here. And I'm sorry to hear that
some people on this list are so focused that they can't bear to see
anything besmirching the purity of the Yello content on this list.
Crossposting of junk is a pain, true, but we need to get things in
perspective here...we're talking about Kraftwerk, here. This news
should be on the main national news broadxast, never mind the Yello
list.
I've grown tired of the authoritarian introspectivity of this list
over the last year, and I only stay tuned for news of the band. I
doubt whether Yello live in their own little world where people
aren't allowed to talk about anything other than the one subject
which brought them together - Yello music. They'd probably be pretty
disparaging of such a rule/charter-dominated fan list. They are
artists...they experiment and draw influences from around them. They
have their ears and eyes open to what's going on in the world. That's
how they make such great music. It's a pity this list is dominated by
such a parochial attitude.
> And? The point!? "Make noise until it really starts disturbing readers."
> That is why I say "grow up".
It's only you who seem to have been disturbed, Juhana...or do you
speak for others who didn't dare post a response here?
> I guess I have the right to express my opinion about spams. I would not
> like to unsubscribe this list due noise. Please stop!
I don't want to upset anyone here, but I don't regard Kraftwerk as
too off-topic to mention once! Now, if you all start to speculate on
the state of the US financial system or whether the British monarchy
has a place in society then I think we'd be right to draw the line.
But Kraftwerk?
I'll decide what I'm interested in and what I'm not and I'll do any
censoring that needs to be done here at my PC rather than ask
everyone else to censor themselves before they post to the list.

I personally am glad you posted about the new Kraftwerk. I expect for others
and my self to let this list know about good music. We listen to Yello so you
know we listen to good music.
I was subscribed to Kraftwerk list but there is so much postings that I
didn't care about that I got off it. Its nice to hear about other great
groups on here such as Kraftwerk or William Orbit (new Madonna album coming
out soon and his own classical album in Jan 17)
Love you guys. Chill out. World piece!

Subject: (yello) some thoughts about Motion Picture
Well, finally i got Motion Picture. Here is my opinion about this album.
First of all, this album is GREAT, as other Yello albums. Motion Picture
proves another time that Boris never repeats himself. I don't know why do
some of you think that this album sounds like 80s' albums. I didn't notice
anything which would be comparable to Flag, One Second and other albums. The
only exception is Squeeze Please (this is the reason why this composition is
more a hit than any others). Of course, there is something reminding old
times. It's maybe more complicated structure of sounds than in Pocked
Universe. It can remind 80s. But the kind of sounds totally changed. It's
more "new" than "old" Yello. But it's STILL Yello. The music became less
melodic and less ironic, if you know what i mean. But it became cooler and
more rhythmic. This is the great music for dance. Listening to this album,
it's impossible not to move a body. For anyone who loves Yello, this album
is perfect. One of the most attractive traits of Yello is that you never
know what kind of music they will produce the next time. You always expect
something new and surprising. And finally you get it. Motion Picture is very
good confirmation of it!
Best,
Olga

*Today's joke*
A little boy came to a circus with his father. A compere has come to area
and announced, "Now you will see deadly piece! Our acrobat will jump down
into the barrel of water from the dome!"
Than the acrobat came. He was lifted up to the dome. All the spectators have
standed still. Than the acrobat jumped down into the barrel and took leave.
Little boy. "Dad, i don't understand one thing. This piece was called deadly
but noone has died... Dad, what's the matter with you??!! DAD!!!..."
