Very boring subject but:
Pty Ltd means Proprietary Limited - that is, only specific people can buy
shares in the company. It is a private company and is not listed on the
stock exchange.
Companies that are just 'Ltd' (limited) are listed on the stock exchange.
"Limited" means that if the company goes bust, then the shareholders are
not personally liable to pay the debts of the company. The most they have
to pay is any amount they still owe on shares they are holding.
Now, back to Yello...

I really can't tell the absolute favorite yet.
But I did play "Houdini" last Friday night when I was dj'ing. It sounded
really great, and dancing people didn't seem to mind too much this
stranger track (compared to the hit parade prior to Houdini). "Get On" is
also a very good track.
Btw, are there many dj's on this list? I am by no means a pro, djing is
merely a dear hobby for me. But I do get paid most of the times I play, so
I guess I am a semi-pro dj. Or something. I can't even beat-mix that good
or do any other cool tricks, though.
And I would also like to hear what the dj's say when you haunt them with
your wishes for Yello. I usually get replys like "Don't have any with me
right now" or "I just might have 'The Race' on some of my compilations".
Yours,
Antti, a.k.a. dj koivu

All I can say is thank god for the internet, otherwise I'd be oblivious to
both the question and answer. Yesterday was a wonderful day, an excellent
Jane Siberry concert and "Motion Picture" arriving through my letterbox. It's
a sad reflection on a country that has always considered itself some kind of
epicentre for "pop" music that this CD is not even being released here.
So I've managed to give it six or seven listenings (I recorded it onto
minidisc last night so I could listen to it cycling into work) and yet again
Yello fail to disappoint, they're just streets ahead of anyone else working
in this field (with the exception of Kraftwerk, though Mouse on Mars and To
Rococo Rot increasingly bode well for the future).
Favourite Track ? - well yes "Houdini" is very good. I do have a penchant for
"Shake and Shiver" and "Point Blank" but the whole CD is wonderful.
I used to DJ years ago, at all nighters at the Scala Cinema here in London. I
would always play Yello. I go to clubs very rarely now and most of the places
in London its not exactly de rigueur to make requests. Still a place that
likes to think of itself as so hip can't remain in ignorance of music of this
quality for much longer......... can it ??

Track 2 is very good. Sorry, Yello website thinks Lynx is not a good enough
at viewing text parts of the Motion Picture pages. That is, can't get the
track titles. (Lynx is able to view text but frames too! I simply don't
understand webmakers why they even bother to write texts like "Sorry. Only
with Frames here." --- tell me at least one webbrowser which cannot show
frames! It is not the Lynx.)
Your suggestion "get on", turns out to be too repeative in this contest
but I always listen to it first! Heh, it is good as well.
"Shake and shiver" must be my second favourite. "Point Blank" has great
sounds and great mode. I think Point Blank borrowed one rhythm melody
from Tremendous Pain/Hell Mix -- check it out! (Anyone has Hell Mix
as mp3 or such?)
Track 4 and the last track are my least favourites even I don't skip them.
Yours,
Juhana

Subject: (yello) An Early Farewell :-(
Hello everyone !!!! :-)
As I have one week left before I leave for the black pit of despair which is
Basic Military Training (lol), I just wanted to give an early goodbye to
everyone on all four of my favorite lists.
You have all been very fun and interesting people to chat with, teaching me
many valuable things regarding the love of music and technology. I will
definitely miss all of the silly flame wars and annoying post questions that
had been mentioned fifty million times before (;-) . It felt damn good to be
part of four groups of individuals who respect the masters of the music game
the same way that I do.
I don't know for sure when I'll be back online; maybe within the next three
to six months. I really have no idea what the fuck the future holds, but so
far I see plenty of recording, traveling, and meeting lots of new people. If
I get to be stationed in Germany, I might plan on bringing some friends over
to see Kraftwerk at Expo 2000.
Anyways, I want to keep it short and sweet, so let me just say that I love
all you guys and that I will miss you all very much from the bottom of my
heart.
God Bless all of you forever. :-)
Josh E. (Juno)
