  25. First off, Cindi Rinehart said yesterday that Joseph Phillips who
  26. plays Justus on GH is being replaced by Monti Sharp.  I'm kinda bummed
  27. - I like Joseph Phillips - when they actually give him something to
  28. do, he's a great actor.  Oh well...  Also, they just said they're
  29. bringing Brenda's mother on in August - I didn't catch the name of the
  30. actress though.

  32. Yesterday's GH - that scene where Brenda runs up to Jax was really
  33. powerful - I'm always impressed when a scene with no dialogue is that
  34. powerful.

  36. Ned - I wish they would let him be cute and loveable more often - he's
  37. sooo yummy when he's like he was with Emily yesterday and today!!!  He
  38. absolutely sparkles! I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's true -
  39. it's not just his eyes, it's him.

  41. Emily - isn't she under 18???  Wouldn't she need a parents signature
  42. to do all this??

  44. Alan - sigh...what is there to say...except, "Enough Already!!!"

  46. Dara & Taggart - I don't buy it.  He's been absolutely offensive and
  47. all of a sudden they're on a date?  Why do soaps insist on showing
  48. women falling for abusive men?  In case the writers don't know it,
  49. being in a emotionally/verbally abusive relationship is no better than
  50. being in a physically abusive one.  To show a woman going out with a
  51. guy who has been so offensive and physically intimidating to her is
  52. just wrong.  Fear does not equal attraction.

  100. I have an interesting personal sidenote. I was ignorant to the fact that 
  101. hydrocodone is a real pharmaceutical, on so many soaps they make up 
  102. names for drugs, for whatever reason. After getting my wisdom teeth 
  103. removed today, I was in pain, and reached for my pill bottle and 
  104. there it was - Hydrocodone. Through the pain, I had to laugh! Couldn't 
  105. help but think of Alan. (By the way, they work wonders. I hope I don't 
  106. start taking on his characteristics!)
  107. Anyway, I know those of you who work in medicine must think I just fell 
  108. off the turnip truck...bear with me, I'm not myself today - LOL!

  147.     Ok, I'm sorry in advance here, but this is a real soapbox issue
  148. for me.  :)  I realize you were joking, but even so, I just want to
  149. pass along a little info for you.  As long as you take the Hydrocodone
  150. in the manner in which it was prescribed and you stop taking it when
  151. your pain stops, you will not have a problem.  
  152.  
  153.     The way in which people get into trouble with painkillers is when
  154. they stray from this - in other words, while taking the pills for
  155. their pain, a patient discovers they sleep better or they like the
  156. "floating" or "high" feeling they get.  So, their pain ends, but they
  157. have some pills left, and it's been a rough day and they want some
  158. help sleeping...so they take one...a few days later they're feeling a
  159. little down and have a dinner to go to and could use a boost, so they
  160. take one...etc.  That is how you develop an addiction.  
  161.  
  162.     On the other hand, a person who is truly in pain, taking pain
  163. medication for that pain strictly as they are told to, may eventually
  164. become "physically dependant", which is different than addiction.  All
  165. this means is that they will have to taper slowly off their medication
  166. - the same thing happens with many other medications that aren't for
  167. pain.  There is a very distinct difference between physical dependance
  168. and addiction.  Soap opera writers don't know the difference, and they
  169. do not portray a person becoming addicted properly. 
  170.  
  171.     On my own personal note, I am 29, homebound and disabled thanks to
  172. my illnesses that leave me in constant chronic pain.  I have not had a
  173. pain free minute for 4 1/2 years now.  It took over three years of
  174. suffering before a doctor would treat my pain with narcotic
  175. medications, not because they didn't feel I needed them - every doctor
  176. I saw said I needed them, none of them wanted the risks of prescribing
  177. an addictive medication.  The way TV, especially soaps, portrays
  178. addiction is one of many little pieces of the problem, so watching
  179. these storylines makes me a little crazy.  
  180.  
  181.     Again, I really do know you were only joking, but anytime the
  182. opportunity presents itself to teach people the facts of pain
  183. medication and addiction, I try to take it.  I hope I haven't broken
  184. any list rules by doing so - it really is because of the way GH has
  185. been written this last year that brought it up...   :)

  234. I do wish they'd play up the father/daughter parallels
  235. while Alan is sliding downhill.  They remember to mention
  236. Ned's daughter every once in a while, but I think they
  237. could do some interesting work with Ned and Em's
  238. relationship.  I find it hard to believe, for example, that
  239. Ned would have just sat back down on the couch today,
  240. rather than going outside to find Emily.

  302. myself, as I felt they were both people who could learn from each
  303. other and help each other to become more of a whole person, but I
  304. agree - these last few days especially have been horrendous.  Up till
  305. now, I could always see how they could turn it around for Todd, now
  306. they're going too far.  I think I give T&T more leeway in this the
  307. abuse regard because of how they fell in love - sort of in spite of
  308. themselves and with some meausure of true caring in there between all
  309. the pain.  It's different from Dara and Taggart, as he's never shown
  310. kindness towards her - only leering and rudeness.

  355. Hi everyone. I'm a new member to this list, and have just s*bscribe to 
  356. both kevin-and-lucy and port-charles. Looks like fun! Just some brief
  357. background on moi-

  359. I never watched any soaps until I saw the 2 hour premiere of Port Charles
  360. . I was HOOKED, especially to Kevin, Lucy, and Scott (and the ever-adorable
  361. Serena, of course). I have been an addict ever since. I read up on the
  362. K/L/S history, so even tho I didn't watch GH, I'm familliar with the old
  363. plot lines. I've since tuned in to some GH, but my heart belongs to PC.

  365. Anyway, I'm glad to be here! I'll probably be sending out some fanfiction
  366.  in the very near future, okay? Oh, can the fanfics be done in "Part 1", 
  367. "Part 2", etc.? The 2 PC fics I have now are incomplete, but I'd still 
  368. like to share them and get some feedback.

  419. Yup.  I see the parallels between Kevin and Lucy there,
  420. actually.  Kevin needed Lucy to get past his many traumas,
  421. Lucy needed someone to support her in spite of her crazy
  422. schemes and accept her as more than just a bed mate.  The
  423. parallels with Todd and Tea aren't exact, of course, but I
  424. can see the kernel of conflict which makes me love K&L in
  425. T&T too.  But lately... <shudder>

  430. I remember that on our set visit, Real Andrews did admit
  431. that Dara should have slapped Taggart silly <g>.  Despite
  432. Real's magnetism, I think Taggart was more interesting with
  433. Sonny (and by extension, is more interesting these days
  434. with Jason)--he had a history that was interesting but not
  435. completely fleshed-out, and he had a *reason* for being the
  436. way he was around Sonny.  To be honest, I could almost see
  437. Dara going out with Taggart at least once just to spite
  438. Justus, and *then* being intrigued, but I was surprised
  439. that the date with Taggart was already fixed when she
  440. talked to Justus.

  564. Well, I'll try to help, but may not remember everything - someone jump
  565. in if I miss anything!  The board met and discussed Chris's dirty
  566. deed...took away his Quartermaine residency and he has to return the
  567. $$$ by end of business tomorrow.  They did not say what happens to the
  568. residency now.  Mac stopped in to tell Lucy & Kevin if they want to
  569. postpone the wedding that they could, till Serena could participate. 
  570. They agreed, reluctantly.  Later, when they told Serena, she told them
  571. not to delay as she would be better then.  They gave in - the wedding
  572. is still set for the 17th.  They took Serena's bandages off, and she
  573. can't see. (big surprise, right?)  Frank brought Lark in to do her
  574. volunteer work.  Later, he came back and gave Eve Lark's backpack,
  575. saying it was left in the car.  This was in front of Julie.  Later,
  576. Matt went into the resident's lounge and found Lark hiding behind the
  577. door.  She showed him a note she found in her backpack that said "You
  578. die next."  That's all I remember!  Hope it helps!

  772. (Serena) in the first place, assured them that this little actress

  775. As much as I'm not looking forward to this storyline, I still would

  2978. I think that there is some kind of proviso that says that if the first son
  2979. of the first son doesn't inherit then all the people of the who have claims
  2980. against the Cassadine would have to be paid of.  There was one episode that
  2981. recently aired that mentioned something like this.   Also, Is Stefan so
  2982. personally poor that he would need Kat's money.  If the Cassadines are so
  2983. big and bad then why doesn't Stefan have his own money?  I know that he is
  2984. taking care of Nikolas's estate and all but come on.  Stefan couldn't
  2985. possibly be that penny less. Didn't he do anything for himself in all of
  2986. Nik's 16+ years?  Also, a long time ago when they had all this first son
  2987. inheriting stuff the other siblings were still financially well off even

  3277. BTW, in one of the soap mags, I read that the scenes between Mike and
  3278. Sonny reminded the writers of the talent they were ignoring in Ron
  3279. Hale and that he will have much more story soon. It said that Guza and
  3280. Latham never wanted to write for Mike because they thought the other
  3281. one was needing him, so he never got any story, but that now they had
  3282. worked it out and Ron Hale will be featured more on both shows.  He'll
  3283. be a sort of surrogate father to Jason.  Yay!! :)

  3285. Also, I read that the writers MIGHT kill Brenda off but not find a
  3286. body...but they said nothing has been decided.  (((I'm assuming since

  3363. My 98 GH Weekend!!!!  
  3364.  
  3365. First of all, we had an absolute blast!  I've been attending for the past
  3366. three years and this was the best!  An on line friend has flown out for the
  3367. last two years, she came in and we hung out for a couple of days then went up
  3368. to LA.
  3369.  
  3370. We stopped at the Beverly Hills Television and Radio Museum - it is awesome!
  3371. There aren't exhibits but for $6 you have two hours to watch any of their
  3372. classic tapes, they had some very early GH, AMC, OLTL - I could have spent
  3373. days in there!  We watched the 96 GH event held there, great clips and was fun
  3374. to see some of my GH favs at an event - set the tone for the weekend to come.
  3375.  
  3376. Met up with Joan Thursday night and the three of us poured over pictures,
  3377. scrapbooks, and yacked!  
  3378.  
  3379. Friday am we went down to the soap boutique which is held every year in one of
  3380. the pool side rooms.  Great time to pick up GH merchanidse and buy fan
  3381. pictures, I got a lot of great ones there!  Around 3:00 Nolan (Chris Ramsey,
  3382. PC and Marshall, ex-GL) were by the pool.  Nolan was wonderful, he was very
  3383. very funny, very warm and charmed everyone!  Marshall had pics that he
  3384. autographed and handed out.  I didn't know who he was but he is gorgeous and
  3385. also very nice.
  3386.  
  3387. Friday night we attended the first every PC event.  It was only 200 people and
  3388. in  a smaller more intimate room than the GH luncheon.   The actors were all
  3389. very warm, Julie, Lisa, and Jay especially so!  Lisa is very charismatic and
  3390. was wonderful, found out we are from the same town and chatted for a moment.
  3391.  
  3392. Jay was there last, was wonderful, he was very warm and approachable.  They
  3393. seemed very interested in meeting the fans.  Ron Hale is always a joy, he is a
  3394. very classy guy - signed my Nurse's Ball shirt (while on my back!).  Cari was
  3395. also very kind - and it was very warm in this room.   
  3396.  
  3397. Saturday we went to our annual pilgrimage to the Hollywood Book and Poster
  3398. shop on Hollywood Blvd, few blocks down from Grauman's Chinese Theatre.  
  3399. They
  3400. have slides of old GH on the set shots of Robert, Anna, Luke, Sean, ect.
  3401. They have some OLTL, and AMC, and shots from shows like Full House, 
  3402. Melrose
  3403. Place, movies, ect.
  3404.  
  3405. We attended Vanessa's TVC charity event to raise money for Sojourn (which
  3406. provides services to battered woman and children).  This event was very well
  3407. done.  Over $15,000 was raised for this organization.  The food was excellent,
  3408. pasta cooked for individual orders, Q&A with Vanessa & Tyler, there was a
  3409. professional photographer who took 5x7 pictures of the fans with V&T for a $5
  3410. donation to Sojourn.  Having a professional take the pictures was an
  3411. especially nice touch - anyone who has attended a fan event knows what it is
  3412. like to hand your camera to the person behind you and then find your head cut
  3413. off!
  3414.  
  3415. Vanessa was very gracious, very warm towards her fans, she was very
  3416. appreciative.  This was the first time I had met her and  she was very kind.
  3417. Originally autographs were not going to given due to time constraints.  A
  3418. beautiful autographed picture of Vanessa was included in the packets given out
  3419. which was a nice touch - great idea to have it already autographed.  A friend
  3420. really really wanted to get an S&B jacket signed so she offered a $100
  3421. donation!  I guess this brought out the "fish bowl" and from then on
  3422. autographs were provided for a contribution to the fish bowl to benefit
  3423. Sojourn (I heard that the fish bowl contained $5,000 by the end of the
  3424. evening!).

  3426. The tape package with a set of 20 S&B tapes, 3 Brenda tapes, with the
  3427. beautiful 88 page book of S&B's history donated by Tammie Solar (worked on 
  3428. by
  3429. Beth, Denise and Tammie) brought $600 in the silent auction!  A special thanks
  3430. to Dawn Magula for the beautiful tape labels that she provided. And a special
  3431. thanks to Beth Guaura who spent hours doing extensive tape descriptions over
  3432. the past couple of years, scoured mags for pics on S&B, scanned them and 
  3433. sent
  3434. them to Tammie to choose the best ones to go with each tape description.  To
  3435. Jennifer Chamber and Denise La Rosa my appreciation for their assistance 
  3436. with
  3437. the tape descriptions.
  3438.  
  3439. The tape package with the V&M tapes, GH video music tapes, High Incident, To
  3440. Love, Honor & Decieve (donated by Ana Melo) and the description book with
  3441. pictures  (again created and donated by Tammie) raised $250 at auction.

  3445. Tammie also printed a cover page for the Cassidine Return tapes, combined 
  3446. with
  3447. Sheri Evener's Tyler tapes raised $50.  Tammie also did a description page for
  3448. the GH Anniversary tape and this anniversary package (with 35th anniversary
  3449. mag and t-shirt) raised  $75 (I think?).  So this large group effort raised
  3450. between $900-1000!  You guys are awesome! But I digress, I left to travel back
  3451. to the Sportsman's Lodge for the Wally & Rena event but heard that V&T stayed
  3452. much longer than the scheduled 5:30-8:30.

  3454. I had given Vanessa the V&M #2 tape, Joan had given her S&B 4 & 5 - 
  3455. Vanessa
  3456. said how much she enjoyed the tapes!  I told her how fans from all over the US
  3457. and Canada had contributed clips to the interview tapes.  
  3458.  
  3459. I know many many people worked on the event and I'm not familiar with all of
  3460. them, Kathy Fisher the president of the TVC (The Vanessa Connnection)
  3461. organized the event and did a great job, everything ran amazingly smooth -
  3462. this was the first major event done by the TVC.  Other people who contributed
  3463. Lynn Younger - treasurer, Amy Coles, Laura....I know I'm missing many many
  3464. names but to all of those TVC committee members you rock!  I had a great time,
  3465. and even won a Nurse's Ball t-shirt!  So fans had a chance to meet Vanessa,
  3466. take pictures of Vanessa, obtain autographs and everything was handle in a
  3467. non-rushed atmosphere.  The fans were split up into three different groups for
  3468. photographs which kept the lines to a minimum (so not all 200 people where in
  3469. line at once!).  Kathy was considerate to place people who had informed her
  3470. there would be attending the W&R event in the first photo group.  There was
  3471. great food, a desert table, coffee, yum!  There were tables and tables full of
  3472. stuff for the silent auctions items - plenty to look at while the photo
  3473. sessions were going on.  The time really flew by!  V&T did the raffle
  3474. themselves, Vanessa was very sweet about giving the winner the choice of items
  3475. in the raffle basket.  
  3476.  
  3477. The TVC had collected money from fans to give V&T a beautiful housewarming
  3478. basket - it was HUGE, chock full of stuff!  It has so heavy Tyler couldn't
  3479. carry it out (or so I heard!).  
  3480.  
  3481. I heard many glowing reports of this event, fans seemed very pleased.  There
  3482. was one fan in particular that came to my attention at Maurice's event.  This
  3483. young woman was in a wheelchair and told Maurice that she had saved for two
  3484. years to come out to California.  That every time she wanted to buy something
  3485. she would hold off so she could save her money for this trip, and with tears
  3486. in her eyes she commented on how it was worth every penny to meet him - then
  3487. he came down and kissed her!  And Michael Sutton did the same!  Jim Warren
  3488. actually took a picture of her with them - I know I had tears in my eyes!  She
  3489. also was able to meet Vanessa and Vanessa was wonderful with her as well.  Its
  3490. so nice to see that these actors are so kind and considerate, so willing to go
  3491. out of their way.  There was a dry eye in the room at the MB event when he
  3492. kissed her!

  3523. personality, so that he made the call when emotionally provoked but he

  3595. For a few days I was thinking that Ryan in the mirror was right, when he told
  3596. Kevin the killer was based on someone Kevin's real life.  I took that to mean
  3597. that anyone who died in the book was ruled out as murderer.

  3599. I've changed my tune now though.  Over the weekend I was thinking it over
  3600. again and decided that Kevin may have subconciously based the murderer on
  3601. Victor, but that didn't mean the murderer WAS Victor.

  3603. My idea was that Dr. Boardman will end up being the son of Victor's girlfriend
  3604. who was murdered all those years ago on Jasmine Island.  That would be a way
  3605. to tie things all together.  I feel strongly that both of these scenerios have
  3606. to be intertwined somehow in order for them to make sense.  Why have Kevin in
  3607. the middle of two separate murder storylines?

  3610. Victor(though I think Melanie was the REAL killer out there on the island).

  3612. clever, and has access to various poisons and drugs-- Boardman fits the bill

  3685. I hate to know scoops up front, and don't like to know or reveal the ending of
  3686. a movie, in fact I won't even tell my friends too much detail about a film
  3687. just whether I recommend or whether it is good.  So, I've made a choice not to
  3688. reveal too much about scoops that I heard privately - figure they will come
  3689. out soon enough.  But there are a couple of minor storyline items below but
  3690. nothing that I don't think has already been widely reported.
  3691.  
  3692. Lets see, I left off after Vanessa's event on Saturday.  I forgot to mention
  3693. that Michael Logan attended the V&T event!  His wife is evidentally very
  3694. involved in Sojourn so he was there on her behalf, Michael is also a renowned
  3695. "Brenda Barrett" fan.  At one point when most of the fan attention was on
  3696. Vanessa I noticed that Michael didn't seem to mind when a fan went up to speak
  3697. with him.  So I introduced myself and told him how much I had enjoyed and
  3698. missed Pure Soap (the show all about soaps that he used to do on E! with
  3699. Shelly Taylor Morgan). I asked if I could have my picture taken with him and
  3700. this was great fun!  He was very charming.   I told Michael that his on line
  3701. chats were missed and that I really missed his TV Guide column, that as soon
  3702. as I got it I opened to his page to see his scoops! (and I don't read
  3703. scoops!).   He assured me he had been on a month vacation but was back 
  3704. (hence
  3705. his article in this week's TV Guide), he also said hinted that he had a story
  3706. coming up on Vanessa/Brenda in an upcoming issue!
  3707.  
  3708. I asked whether there was any chance Maurice would be able to return to whisk
  3709. S&B off for a happy ever after.  He too lamented that there just wasn't time
  3710. to write that story as GH had spent the past year sending Brenda into Jax's
  3711. arms.   We concurred that she will die with no body to be found keeping open a
  3712. future possibility for Vanessa to return.  (this also makes sense as then if
  3713. Maurice is available he could return at any time and not be tied to Brenda's

  3718. A personal comment, I realize that Tyler was rather quiet at both the Saturday
  3719. event and at the luncheon on Sunday.  But I do not believe this was
  3720. disinterest in the events but rather an inherent shyness or perhaps just
  3721. feeling awkward talking to that many strangers.  He has struck me as being on
  3722. the quiet side and I think just naturally reserved.  But he was at no time
  3723. rude or snobbish or unkind in any way towards fans.  He has an adorable shy
  3724. smile, he really is very cute!

  3726. From Vanessa & Tyler's event we were off to see Wally & Rena back at the
  3727. Sportsman's.  This was a great event, it was wonderful to see Rena again!  She
  3728. reported being in contract negotiations for a role - she said it was not
  3729. daytime but assured the audience that should she ever choose to daytime again
  3730. she wouldn't go anywhere outside of GH!
  3731.  
  3732. They were warm and funny, Rosabel's nanny - Chris was there and there was a
  3733. lot of interaction between him and W&R.  When someone from the audience 
  3734. asked
  3735. if they would have more children and they answered that they would like to
  3736. have another child at some point, Chris responded by asking for a raise!
  3737.  
  3738. Rena noticed the "Ride of a Lifetime" tickets being sported in the front
  3739. couple of rows by fans - supplied by the never tiring Amanda & Lauren.  She
  3740. commented how much she appreciated the continuing support and was amazed 
  3741. that
  3742. fans were still asking about Lois 2 years later!  But she did say that she has
  3743. no plans to return to GH at this time.  Wally was asked about his lack of
  3744. storyline, he believes one of the reasons that N&A haven't caught on more is
  3745. that there has been a lack of commitment to the storyline by the
  3746. writer's/producer (I'm paraphrasing here).  Seems that all the support for a
  3747. N&L reunion may have Wendy doubting whether fans will accept Ned with 
  3748. someone
  3749. besides Lois.  The audience assured Wally that we were ready for Ned to move
  3750. on (even though Lois will come first in our hearts!).  One audience member
  3751. pointed out that she was having difficulty accepting N&A as Nancy Lee looks
  3752. older than Wally does.  W&R pointed out that they are near the same age (that
  3753. is NGL and Wally) but that youthful looks runs in Wally's family - evidently
  3754. his father is 80 but you would never know it.  So while he may look younger
  3755. they are near the same age.  Rena took great joy in sharing that Wally is
  3756. going to be 40 on his birthday this month!

  3758. (I was also sure to stop by Wendy Riche's table on Sunday and assure her that
  3759. I was indeed ready for Wally to have a storyline - read romance!  Many N&L
  3760. fans are interested in seeing what chemistry will occur with V.  Many of us
  3761. liked his storyline with Lois due to the quirkiness of this character which
  3762. lightened Ned - he can get rather stuffy and heavy with all the Q drama.  But
  3763. I digress...)
  3764.  
  3765. When asked about his staying on the show given his lack of an interesting
  3766. challenging storyline, he reported that someone in the family had to pay the
  3767. bills!  He also assured the audience that most likely he would be staying till
  3768. sometime till year 2000 (only a year and a half but sounds like quite
  3769. awhile!).   He also reported that when Sarah Brown returns from her maternity
  3770. leave that some interesting storyline will occur that Ned and AJ will be
  3771. involved in (there was a slight scoop revealed which I will keep to myself but
  3772. as Wendy says keep watching!  Sounds like fun!).

  3774. The audience also lamented that what was missing in Ned's storyline is missing
  3775. in much of the show, the humor, romance, and fantasy that was there during
  3776. early N&L, S&B, R&S, and K&L in 94.  I've heard audiences make similar
  3777. comments at other fan events over the last couple of years.  They were
  3778. adorable together, obviously very much in love - its always a pleasure.  K&T
  3779. played and they sounded great!  They played a couple of new songs never 
  3780. before
  3781. played before an audience.  Since they live all over the country its difficult
  3782. for them to get together to rehearse, the band made some comments about
  3783. Wally's playing that night on a couple of the new songs (the audience sure
  3784. didn't seem to notice!).  They played a couple of my favorite songs from the
  3785. Nashville CD, and some earlier stuff like "Road Less Traveled" and "End of the
  3786. Road", and closed with the ever popular "7th Son".  But the highlight was when
  3787. they did the song he used to sing to Adrienne on Days!  It is such a beautiful
  3788. song, I've never heard them play it live before!  Wally said one of his fans
  3789. who goes to every performance she can threathened not to come anymore if he
  3790. wouldn't do that song! <grn>  So he agreed, great choice!  I love that song,
  3791. just can't recall the name right now.....

  3793. Afterwards, W&R and Christian stayed out and signed autographs - Rena was
  3794. there till after 12:00 and I just got through to her as she was trying to get
  3795. home.  Wally was there till 1:00 am signing!  Stayed up talking around the
  3796. pool and once again Beth got me in trouble for being to loud, we got ejected
  3797. from the pool area by the management and wound up in the lobby telling
  3798. stories!

  3852. "off a cliff" and no body will be found (or something to that equivalent).
  3853. Then Jax will go over the edge in grief.   This was from a very good source,
  3854. will be interesting to see if it all pans out could be a red herring for a
  3855. surprise Maurice return.

  3857. I have some info on the primetime soap special but don't want to spoil the
  3858. surprise.  I know many people who always want to know how things end but I

  4298. ones. I thought I'd bring up the subject 'cos my mind has been stuck on
  4299. the crazy dream I had last night. Thought I'd share it...

  4301. In the dream, I was going about my boring life up here in Michigan and I
  4302. somehow got my hands on a copy of General Homocide-- I was ecstatic. I
  4303. only managed to read a little of it when I realized it wasn't your
  4304. generic copy. It had notes written all over it, with some paragraphs
  4305. highlighted (think of Victor's copy). Way weird, I was thinking. I'll
  4306. skip of the irrelevent part of the dream that involved going to my
  4307. neice's gymnastics show- although I had the book with me and was
  4308. thinking of bragging to everyone on RATSA & the lists that I had *real*
  4309. copy. Anyhoo, the next thing I knew, I was at Kevin and Lucy's
  4310. lighthouse, and K & L and Victor were hounding me about giving the book
  4311. back, but I refused. Kevin was *real* angry (he is so darn handsome when
  4312. he's mad!!) and Lucy was babbling on and on about something regarding
  4313. Eve. I think I ended up keeping the book, cos then my dream skipped to
  4314. me back home and I was reading the part about Lucy's death.
  4315.  
  4316. I was soooo dissappointed when I woke up and realized I really DIDN'T
  4317. have a copy of the book. *sniff* 
  4318.

  4345. This is an FYI and a general request for assistance:

  4347. Due to demands of work and school, I am totally unable to continue keeping
  4348. up with the demands of running the Ultimate Links Page on my own (and as
  4349. many people can attest, I have been for some time.  Mea culpa.).  So, I
  4350. have finally come to the conclusion that I have two alternatives: either
  4351. close the page or get some help.
  4352.  
  4353. Now, I don't want to close the site.  And, judging by the weekly traffic,
  4354. that would probably not be most people's first choice.  So, what I'm doing
  4355. right now is asking for some people who are familiar with HTML coding, and
  4356. who have the time and inclination to do the work, to volunteer to give me a
  4357. hand keeping the site updated on a weekly basis.
  4358.  
  4359. Because the site is on my domain, I will be the only person doing the
  4360. physical uploading.  What I need every week for volunteers to send me a
  4361. revised list of links for each page.  I need people who can constantly
  4362. check current links to make sure they are still active and to keep their
  4363. eyes open for new links and web rings to be added to the collection.
  4364.  
  4365. In order to do this I will need a minimum of 5 volunteers, though I would
  4366. prefer at least a dozen.  Duties will be broken down accordingly:
  4367.  
  4368. "General" GH/PC Sites
  4369. "Family" sites (Scorpio, Quartermaine, Spencer, Cassadine, Scanlon,
  4370. Baldwin, Collins, etc.  This category not only contains sites about the
  4371. whole family, but about each member of the families as well.)
  4372. GH Couples
  4373. PC Couples
  4374. Fanfiction Sites
  4375. Medical Professionals
  4376. Men
  4377. Women
  4378. Humor
  4379. Misc. (any site that doesn't fall into any of the above categories)
  4380. Generic Soap Links (not sites devoted to other shows, but just general soap
  4381. opera links)
  4382.  
  4383. Some of these categories are ones that I have not added to the site yet
  4384. ("Humor" and "Women" for example), but they are ones that I have wanted to
  4385. add for quite some time.  I am not necessarily looking for one person to
  4386. handle each of these categories (though, considering how big a job this can
  4387. be, it would be my first choice).  But I need these bases covered by
  4388. someone reliable.
  4389.  
  4390. And, frankly, I would like to divide up some of these categories
  4391. (especially "Families" and "Couples") even more specifically.
  4392.  
  4393. I am sent anywhere from 20-50 emails per week informing me of new links
  4394. that someone wants added to the page.  I just cannot keep up alone.  I need
  4395. help verifying that the URL is correct, and checking out the page to make
  4396. sure it is not only there, but that it belongs in whichever category.

  4398. I can be as helpful as possible in making this process as smoothe as
  4399. possible, I just can't do it all myself anymore.

  4435. Hi, Laura.  Yes, ALL THE TIME!   I have very vivid dreams that I seem to 
  4436. remember more than most people I know, and I watch a lot of TV so I often 
  4437. dream about the shows.  Since I watch so many soaps, I dream a lot about 
  4438. them.  Especially GH.  I was GOING to say I had never had a PC dream, but I 
  4439. did dream about Lucy and Kevin just last night!  I had forgotten until just now.
  4440. Often when I dream about GH, I'm either a cast member or a character.  Those 
  4441. are the fun ones.  
  4442. We won't talk about the romantic ones...;)  well, usually they involve Sonny, but 
  4443. I've also had them about Stefan, Robert Scorpio, Frisco...I can't think of who

  4658. shaker thing, and took it, and found a gun in a drawer,
  4659. which he also took.

  4741. we got off BEST this time.  we only lost the last five minutes--west
  4742. coast (or at least the seattle channel we get on satellite) lost the
  4743. first 15 or so, and you poor middle-of-the-country folks missed

  4761. ("you brought a CASSADINE?") but robin told nik to ignore him.

  4763. after robin left jason's, alan showed up, to ask jason if he could
  4764. get him some drugs for his "pain."  he explained that the family
  4765. thought he was addicted and had confiscated them, and that
  4766. in jason's line of work he probably had stuff just lying around.
  4767. jason adamantly affirmed that he has nothing to do with drugs
  4768. and never would, and told him he was a junkie and to get out.
  4769. alan fought back, pushed and shoved jason a bit, jason took
  4770. michael out of the room and told alan to leave, and alan stole
  4771. some cash and a gun from jason (as described in last post).

  4773. justus (the new justus, who i don't like so far.  not only is he a
  4774. new actor, from friday's ep he seems an awful lot like a whole
  4775. new character) had another discussion with jason about
  4776. using jerry's situation to their advantage, and jason still refused
  4777. because he didnt' want brenda hurt.  then justus met with jerry,
  4778. and offered to work with him, discreetly.  (i don't buy it--i thought
  4779. the character of justus had a lot more loyalty than that...)

  4781. jax and v continued to push mac and felicia to say how they
  4782. felt to each other (by the way--i thought mac and jax HATED =
  4783.  
  4784. each other?  when did they get so chummy???), but mac and
  4785. flea remained stubbornly defiant, even though flea was constantly
  4786. tearing up.  maxie and georgie showed up in the brides room to
  4787. give her their blue hair ribbons, to tie on her bouquet for "something
  4788. blue," and she nearly lost it.  she nearly lost it again when bobbie
  4789. and lucas visited her, and bobbie went off on her "you two were =
  4790.  
  4791. meant to be together" speech again.  v kept pushing her, and
  4792. flea kept telling her to stop.  lucy tried to stop her from crying,
  4793. but then had "a premonition" of a bride running out of the =
  4794.  
  4795. church in tears.  she was very shaken by it, but v pointed out
  4796. that people cry at weddings, and flea said if it would make her
  4797. feel any better she'd cry on purpose for lucy.
  4798.  
  4799. tony showed up, much to many people's dismay.  mac confronted
  4800. him, but it turns out felicia invited him and she let him stay.  he =
  4801.  
  4802. promised not to make any trouble, but he later noticed bobbie and
  4803. jerry getting friendly and gave them an evil look.
  4804.  
  4805. meanwhile, our brides are still having trouble.  lucy realized at the
  4806. last minute that she didn't have anything borrowed, so she forced
  4807. flea to trade shoes with her (mac and kevin, who were looking anxiously =
  4808.  
  4809. at the back of the church, just saw shoes flying across the doorway).
  4810. kevin, meanwhile, was still pressing mac to find out what was wrong,
  4811. but he wasn't talking.  then scott and serena showed up, and lucy
  4812. got all teary at serena's blindness and sad expression.  she said
  4813. she needed a minute to compose herself, and forced flea, despite
  4814. their earlier plans, to head down the aisle first.  (lucy then got her
  4815. dress
  4816. stuck in the door and required help from two guys, which held her
  4817. up a bit, causing her sprint down the aisle that we kept seeing in
  4818. the wedding commercials)  when everyone was at the front of the
  4819. church, felicia asked mac if he was ready, as this was the moment
  4820. they had agreed upon for him to announce their change of heart.
  4821. instead, he just said, "felicia...marry me."  (right then was when =
  4822.  
  4823. the east coast cut to news coverage, so you can understand how
  4824. annoying THAT was!)  then came the part i described in my last
  4825. post, with mac saying he loved her and that she was his best
  4826. friend, and he was scared to say it before, and flea saying she =
  4827.  
  4828. loved him too, and the kiss.  end of ep.
  4829.  
  4830. the scenes from the next port charles had joe asking karen
  4831. what eve was up to, serena asking scott "when are they going
  4832. to say 'i do'?", and the minister asking if anyone could show
  4833. just cause why lucy and kevin should not be married...camera
  4834. pan to eve.
  4835.

  5219. mac and felicia are on their honeymoon--despite french-speaking
  5220. hotel staff, and misplaced luggage, etc.  lucky went to jason =
  5221.  
  5222. looking for a job.  jason, aware that luke wouldn't want lucky
  5223. involved in the business, hired him to wash his cars once a
  5224. week.  it wasn't what lucky had in mind, but he accepted.  luke
  5225. came in as lucky was leaving, and reiterated to jason that he
  5226. didn't want lucky involved, and jason reassured him he wouldn't
  5227. be, and that he was just helping lucky they way luke had helped
  5228. him.  jason and robin were touched to learn lucky was living in
  5229. their boxcar.
  5230.  
  5231. liz had another tutoring session with murty--this time at her
  5232. house, with audrey present (at both murty and liz's request).
  5233. liz was upset when it was over, because "murty thinks he won."
  5234. lucky suggested that jason could perhaps help them if he told
  5235. him what happened, but liz said no.

  5237. monica got alan out of jail, due to her deal with taggert.  he
  5238. returned home to face the family, who were in "intervention"
  5239. mode and wanted to get him into treatment.  he resisted, and
  5240. discovered one of his bottles of pills which he proceeded to
  5241. pop right under their nose while they were arguing amongst =
  5242.  
  5243. themselves with seemingly noone noticing.  (translation--this
  5244. story isn't going to be over ANYTIME soon.  <sigh>  )

  5246. justus told jason he took a case for jerry.  jason said that was
  5247. fine, as long as justus knew that jerry was using him to get
  5248. to jason.  justus said he knew that, and jason told him to keep
  5249. an eye on jerry "unless you're already keeping an eye on me
  5250. for him."
