  24. the call.  (question--when they reached the er, frank kept talking
  25. about things that happened "in transit"--am i hallucinating here?
  26. i thought the recovery room was right across from the hospital?
  27. or perhaps i'm getting pc confused with er...)

  29. matt thinks frank and/or chris are behind it--which is why he
  30. tried to track them down when the killer was on the air with
  31. kevin today (unsuccessfully, i might add).

  33. garcia found a button from kevin's sports jacket in matt's
  34. bathroom, but agrees with kevin that it was planted, because
  35. what kind of nutjob wears a sports jacket to an attempted murder.
  36. so he finally agreed to kevin's plan to go on-air in an attempt
  37. to smoke out the killer.

  39. victor revealed that he has all sorts of high-tech communications
  40. stuff (purchased over the internet!) that is capable of both blocking =
  41.  
  42. a call from being traced, and tracing a call which has been blocked,
  43. so he was going to help kevin track the murderer down, too.  kevin,
  44. however, asked if victor bought this stuff to try and trace a blocked
  45. number, why did he also have the device that allows a number to
  46. be blocked?  victor said the company threw it in for an extra 10 bucks.

  48. joe told his mom about his and karen's engagement.  she was less
  49. than thrilled, due to karen's past, but karen apparently convinced her
  50. that she wants only what's best for joe.  a green-with-envy courtney
  51. warned karen to watch out for mama scanlon, because she doesn't
  52. get over her reservations that easily.

  146. i have no idea about the killer at this point, but i've assumed mary
  147. is dragging her feet about the ring because she doesn't want joe
  148. to give it to karen, because, despite their little love-fest the other da=
  149. y,
  150. she still doesn't approve of karen.  because of her shady past, and
  151. her divorce, and all that, she doesn't think karen is good enough for
  152. her little boy, and thus doesn't want joe to marry her, let alone give
  153. her a family heirloom.  it never occurred to me there could be anything
  154. more than that...but i guess we'll see!

  185. but....okay, so i know tv shows have to do things in order to set
  186. up certain situations that normal people would never do.  BUT...
  187. first of all, we're supposed to believe that mike is so worried about
  188. matt that he's going to send him out of town, but that he will then
  189. be dumb enough to put the keys to the cabin, and directions, =
  190.  
  191. in an open, accessible, public mailbox?  it's not like he wouldn't
  192. have been able to find matt to give him the keys in person--
  193. HELLO?  he's in a HOSPITAL ROOM.  he's pretty easy to find.

  195. then, ellen calls kevin to tell him she's going away, and for NO
  196. reason that i can see, he writes down the name of the place
  197. where they're going so lucy can conveniently see it and misinterpret
  198. it.  why would he have written it down in the first place?  i could see
  199. him writing down the dates she'd be gone, or her cell phone number...
  200. but...this is just pushing the limits of believability.

  203. but it seems to me the writers could do a better job of at least
  204. TRYING to pretend these characters are real people.  :-)

  273. i'll give you all the highlights i can remember--keeping in mind that
  274. i often forget what happened when, so i might be repeating stuff you
  275. already know or leaving out stuff you've missed!

  279. karen and joe are engaged.  mary's not thrilled.  jealous courtney
  280. is trying to make karen more insecure than she already is by
  281. telling her to watch out for mary.  matt was shocked by the killer,
  282. who planted a button from kevin's sports jacket at the scene of =
  283.  
  284. the crime.  garcia agreed to kevin's plan to go on-air again to try
  285. and catch the killer.  when they traced the call, victor was found
  286. in the vicinity.  he claimed he was there because he traced the
  287. call faster than the cops, but garcia was doubtful.  while they held
  288. victor in custody, kevin got garcia to let him go on the air again,
  289. with cops following all of garcia's main suspects, to prove that,
  290. if the killer called in again, it couldn't be victor.  the killer didn't
  291. call, and victor was arrested.  when kevin got home, there was a
  292. message on his machine from the killer saying he couldn't call
  293. in because the cops were tailing him, and that kevin shouldn't
  294. underestimate him.  based on that, victor was released.  matt
  295. thought chris or frank might be behind his shock, due to the dl-56
  296. conversation he had overheard.  he tried to find either of them =
  297.  
  298. while the killer was on the air, but none was around.  matt and ellen
  299. are going out of town to mike's friend's cabin for a few days, but
  300. mike accidentally put the keys and directions in eve's mailbox
  301. instead of ellen's.  lucy found them, and now, thanks to a few =
  302.  
  303. comments by eve, and the fact that kevin wrote down the name
  304. of the place matt and ellen were going to when ellen called to =
  305.  
  306. tell him she was going away, lucy now thinks eve and kevin are
  307. going away together.  can't remember much else.

  311. stefan's trial started with helena's testimony that stefan never
  312. loved kat, only laura, and that stefan would be penniless once
  313. nik turns 25 if it weren't for the fact that kat left him her money.
  314. alexis pointed out that stefan never confided anything in helena,
  315. so she would never know if stefan loved kat, and that if stefan
  316. were convicted it would indeed be helena who would benefit
  317. from the cassadine fortunes until nik comes of age.  at luke's
  318. urging, alexis later convinced stefan that helena could indeed
  319. have been the one who arranged kat's death.  she devised a
  320. scenario where helena could have lured kat up to the parapet
  321. to show her the portrait of laura as "proof" that stefan didn't love
  322. her.  she then showed stefan a copy of kat's will, provided by
  323. luke, which stefan said did not contain kat's signature--it was a
  324. forgery.  stefan now believes it could have been helena, rather
  325. than luke--and, with the doctored copy of kat's will, complete
  326. with helena's fingerprint, that luke put in kat's lawyer's office,
  327. i guess they're well on their way to proving it.

  329. lucky is recovering from his stab wound--liz confronted murty,
  330. but was told by murty's roommate/lover richard that he couldn't
  331. be the rapist because, first of all, he's gay, and second, he was
  332. with richard all valentine's day.  liz is upset that she hurt lucky,
  333. and also that she may now never know who raped her.

  335. robin moved in with jason.  brenda's not pregnant.  jerry threw
  336. bobbie a surprise birthday dinner with lucas's help.

  338. the q's had an anniversary party for edward and lila, at which
  339. edward sang and they showed clips of lila from the past.  alan
  340. convinced the family he's gone to narcotics anonymous, although
  341. he hasnt'.  monica tried to get some info on justus for taggert, but
  342. didnt' get what he wanted--taggert is now, most likely, going to
  343. arrest alan.

  345. emily's back from her modeling shoot--she ran into nik,
  346. but was upset that he kept asking about robin.

  366. anyway, I find it way to freaky that Stephan would just accept that Helena
  367. was the one who "killed" Kat. He's been ranting & raving that it's been
  368. Luke, Luke, Luke the entire time. (good call from the ol' bat himself!)

  370. Also, I find Luke & Alexis' scenes hysterical. The scene w/the dry cleaning
  371. was worth a few chuckles! Although lately the shows seem to be the "set up"

  562. I have to agree w/the comments about bringing on Brenda's mom & then have
  563. them both leaving. That's not a spoiler, public knowledge. And I agree
  564. w/Taiyan's comments about ruining Brenda & Sonny just so Brenda could hang
  565. on to one more year. And didn't she say in recent mags that she was
  566. dedicated to GH & the "family" that was there! But the biggest
  567. disappointment might be Jonathan leaving. EEK! I can't imagine that,
  568. especially since we haven't seen the "huge" event of Lucky & Liz! I did love
  569. yesterday the scenes w/Luke & Laura on the porch. It seems they never have a
  570. lovey-dovey moment, than BAM, there  it is!

  614. You know Julie that would be a very good idea. However I remeber that when
  615. the killer was on the radio he mentioned something about not calling in
  616. because of the police tailing all of the suspects.  Rex is not a suspect so
  617. he should have had no problem calling when the police were out tailing
  618. everyone else.  On the other hand he could have just been saying that to
  619. throw everyone off.  It might possibly be Rex.  That is the only person that
  620. has ever been a main character that could be the killer.  If any of the
  621. others did it, it would just be too complicated.

  1107. differently than Joseph Phillips did.  I do miss the old Justus, but the new
  1108. one definitely has his advantages.  What little I've seen of him now seems
  1109. that he doesn't necessarily have the same sense of loyalty to Jason, which I
  1110. don't like.  But he's more dangerous and unpredictable, which I do like.

  1245.     You know, I am 25 and these guys are just about my fave part of gh
  1246. right now!  I am glad I am not the only one who thinks they are so
  1247. adorable-- I must admit I felt kind of silly about it since I am older
  1248. than they are, which sounds silly even as I write it, but I like them I
  1249. guess because they remind me of those days in high school and how great
  1250. and angsty it all was-- and still can be (who am I kidding? :D)

  1261. but I really do think that Robin is being naive-- I know that love

  1263. Jason give a stab at leaving the business?  I don't know if this is in
  1264. the works or not, but I think seeing the repurcussions of that on all
  1265. parties involved would be much more interesting than Robin spending 24/7

  1289. I'm admittedly a total sucker for unrequited/unspoken love, and today was
  1290. just absolutely a gift for my stupid little romantic heart.  Laura came up
  1291. with a fabulously truth-based bunch of lies (good job, Laura), and Stefan
  1292. sat there-- at first absolutely petrified, then slowly understanding what
  1293. she was doing and every cell in his body just glowing.

  1295. And the look on Luke's face as he realized Laura was lying about sleeping
  1296. with Stefan-- brutally great acting.  You could see the absolute second he
  1297. realized what had truly happened.  Gorgeous.

  1299. Don't get me wrong-- I like Luke and Laura together; I have ever since they
  1300. first met.  Watched the rape, watched them on the run, had a party in high
  1301. school when they got married (I'm dating myself!!!), sobbed when she came
  1302. back from the "dead," etc..  But I have been impressed with the chemistry
  1303. between Genie Francis and Steven (sp?) NIchols since he first joined GH and
  1304. I <always> enjoy their scenes together.  He gets a little more "loose,"
  1305. more interesting when she's around; she has to work a little harder because
  1306. it's not as comfortable with him as it is with Tony Geary.  I just enjoy
  1307. the two of them, though I don't think I'd buy a Luke/Laura breakup.

  1309. Of course, I wish he'd come right out and admit he's madly in love with
  1310. Laura and always has been.  But, as Cagey pointed out to me, Katherine
  1311. probably isn't a <real> ghost, so she's really Stefan's unconscious
  1312. speaking to him (and this I didn't figure out on my own-- I'm not very
  1313. bright <G>).  Which makes it all the more interesting-- Stefan himself
  1314. hasn't ever admitted he's currently in love with Laura, but the Katybelle
  1315. Ghosty Girl certainly has...
  1316.  
  1317. And I also liked the radiant look on Nik's face at the end, when he was
  1318. saying "She chose me."  I don't always like Tyler Christopher, but I liked
  1319. that bit, a lot.

  1439. Haven't seen today yet-- though I'm dying to--  but here's a (probably
  1440. flawed and certainly biased) summary of Laura's testimony...

  1442. Laura took the stand and said that she'd come back to PC on the night of
  1443. the ball because she was concerned about Nik.  She felt he was losing
  1444. faith in his uncle and wanted to find him and reassure him further (weak,
  1445. but it seemed to work).  Laura said that even Luke didn't know she'd been
  1446. at Wyndemere, because of the bad feelings between him and the Cassadines
  1447. (this part was especially well-handled, IMO).  Laura said she was in
  1448. costume and masque, so no one saw her; she was looking for Nik and went up
  1449. to the balcony because she heard Kat and Bat's voices (but couldn't hear
  1450. any specific words), and when Katharine saw Laura she stepped back and the
  1451. railing gave way.  Laura said she never saw the portrait, and that Stefan
  1452. was far away from Kat so he couldn't have caused her to fall.
  1453.  
  1454. As I alluded to yesterday, at the beginning of her testimony, Stefan
  1455. looked absolutely frozen and terrified-- probably for Laura, mostly.  As
  1456. he realized that she'd constructed a fairly plausible story-- based on
  1457. truth-- you could just see him...  not melt, but somehow without moving
  1458. too many facial muscles (we wouldn't want to do that, would we? <G>) he
  1459. managed to convey absolute relief and-- completely IMO-- just loved Laura
  1460. all the more.
  1461.  
  1462. Dara's cross-examination would NEVER have been allowed in a courtroom.
  1463. She was disbelieving that Stefan would have gone to such lengths to
  1464. protect Laura as to be willing to go to jail; I think Laura turned it
  1465. around somewhat neatly to make it like Stefan was really protecting Nik,
  1466. not her.  That bit I'm fuzzy on.  
  1467.  
  1468. Dara eventually came right out and asked Laura if Laura and Stefan had
  1469. (now or ever) been involved in a physical relationship.  Laura was
  1470. <obviously> thrown by the question, and both Luke and Stefan reacted very
  1471. visibly.  They broke to commercial, and when they came back Laura lied and
  1472. said "Of course not."
  1473.  
  1474. Luke was looking at her and about a half a beat later, he <knew.>  And he
  1475. left the courtroom.  Laura was upset.  I can't remember what came after
  1476. that testimony-wise, but Laura left the courtroom going after Luke very
  1477. quickly.  Stefan made to go after Laura, but Alexis wisely stopped him and
  1478. Stefan listened, for once.  There was some interplay with Helena being her
  1479. usual self.  Nik looked at Stefan and Alexis and said-- disbelievingly--
  1480. "She chose me.  For once, she chose me."  And Stefan looked back at Nik
  1481. with tears in his eyes.  Very lovely.
  1482.  
  1483. Last Laura scene was her going home to a dark, empty house and crying for
  1484. Luke to come back.
  1485.  
  1486. Last Stefan scene was after everyone had left the courtroom, Kat's mirage
  1487. showed up and her words to Stefan were "She chose <you.>"  Nice
  1488. juxtaposition.
  1489.  
  1490. I may actually watch this episode again this weekend, I liked it that
  1491. much.  I get that "All My Soaps" channel and they re=run everything on
  1492. Saturday and Sunday.  :)

  1810. Wow, I must be pretty darn lucky. Here in Michigan, I was able to view
  1811. PC and GH in their entirety. So, for those who got to listen to reports
  1812. praddle on and on....

  1814. Brief PC recap:

  1816. Lark denies that she has EVER visited Greg Cooper. She says that someone
  1817. must have paid the doctor to say that in order to frame her. 
  1818.  
  1819. Frank visits Kevin re: Greg & Susanne Madison, and they discuss the
  1820. clues, blah blah blah. Just as Frank is saying that Lark and Julie are
  1821. taking the fall for someone else's crimes, Victor comes in and says,
  1822. "Don't you mean YOUR crimes?" He believes Frank is the murderer because
  1823. he is simply too innocent. He thinks "defending" Lark & Julie is a
  1824. cover-up... as he runs the facts by Frank (saying "Nothing personal"),
  1825. Frank gets REALLY angry and storms out of the Lighthouse. Kevin thinks
  1826. Victor may be on the right track, but he doesn't want to eliminate the
  1827. Cooper/Madison connection. Victor, upon hearing that Cooper & Lark's mom
  1828. are in the hospital together, has a PLAN! :) I just have to quote some
  1829. dialogue here:

  1831. Victor: (eyes lighting up): You should have me committed!
  1832. Kevin: Don't tempt me.

  1834. Victor goes on to say that Kevin will have him committed to the same
  1835. hospital, saying he has slipped back into whatever state he was in "way
  1836. back when", and then he can talk to Cooper & Susanne and get info.

  1838. MEANWHILE...
  1839.  
  1840. Karen approaches Mary and thanks her profusely for letting her wear the
  1841. family ring. She goes on and on and on (and on and on and on) about how
  1842. much it means to her, etc, etc, etc. Mary is... shocked. Appalled.
  1843. Upset. SHE then praddles on with a speech about how that ring means
  1844. committment and that saying your vows is FOREVER. She all but says that
  1845. Karen is a tramp. 
  1846.  
  1847. Karen, upset, confronts Joe about not telling his mom. They talk- all is
  1848. cool between them by the end of the scene.
  1849.  
  1850. Mary and Joe have it out... big fight. She points out that he won't be
  1851. able to marry in the church, blah blah blah, lots of hot-head Joe stuff.
  1852. (I'm sorry, I'm not really into this plot line) It ends with Joe

  1859. for a visit. Serena is suddenly feeling better, but still won't come
  1860. downstairs. She and Neil play in her room, while Courtney and Scott have
  1861. a heart-felt and sincere (never thought I'd use those words with
  1862. Courtney) conversation about dealing with an unhealthy child. She
  1863. instructs him to use "tough love" and to stay strict. If you put the
  1864. kids in charge, they get scared-- that's not a great position for a
  1865. child.

  1867. Neil & Courtney leave, and Serena once again asks for Scott to come get
  1868. her. He refuses, saying she is smart girl and can do it by herself. She
  1869. pulls all sorts of emotional blackmail. "I pinky swear I'll learn
  1870. tomorrow.."   "Daddy, I'm scared..."  "Daddy, please help me..." and
  1871. ends with   "If you don't carry me downstairs, then I won't eat!"
  1872. Scott says (and I applaud him! *clap*) "Suit yourself" and she goes back
  1873. to bed.

  2027. the last scenes of today's show???  I hope he's okay - he's truly one

  2030. body was trembling and it was like he was just going to implode.

  2276. REALLY ridiculous!  As far as we know, we took for granted the
  2277. prosecution actually had PROOF there was a murder, as in they had
  2278. Kat's body!!  If she comes back, unless the State of NY vs. Stefan was
  2279. in on the whole thing, there was no reason for a trial in the first
  2280. place. (At least, I THINK you have to have proof of a murder to
  2281. prosecute one.) It just looks plain silly.  But then again, no
  2282. revelations about Nik's parentage or Alexis...

  2384. Hey Rebecca, sorry, I just ASSUMED everyone in the free world new about
  2385. this. Luke, Laura, Robert & Tiffany were stranded on the Cassadine island,
  2386. while the Cassadines were freezing Port Charles. Luke finally got into the
  2387. computer room, threw the Cassadine fellas, Mikkos, & Tony & I think Victor
  2388. into the freezing chamber. (hey, this was about 18 years ago.) Luke cracked
  2389. the code, which was.....Ice Princess.... & stopped the freezing. However,
  2390. there was the Ice Princess diamond involved, but in all the time 18 years or
  2391. so, no one ever mentioned the actual diamond disappearing, except Stephan
  2392. the other day! And Laura didn't know? She's a bright bulb, she would have
  2393. know, I believe!  Hope this helps....

  2414. some wonderful comic potential with NLG.  She's a good actress either

  2524. well...technically, no.  they didn't have a funeral, just a memorial
  2525. service.  which begs the question of what exactly they DID with her body
  2526. when she "died," which was never actually addressed.  of course, we now
  2527. know why...but whoever raised the quesion of how the state could proceed
  2528. with a murder investigation without there being a dead body is right.

  2538. regardless, i am NOT pleased with this most recent development...however
  2539. much i expected it.  tptb were protesting WAY too much about mbe still
  2540. being a cast member--and they couldn't have kept her a ghost forever.  my=

  2542. only consolation is that maybe now she'll be obnoxious again, instead of
  2543. that lovesick "bovine tramp."

  2545. side note--ita agree with the people who applauded the cassadine lunch
  2546. scene the other day.  it was hilarious!
