Subject: [MV] Trailers
I would agree with you about trailers that are out on the market. I saw the trailer for CASTAWAY and that got me interested to see the film. But then there are trailers like WHAT LIES BENEATH which give away the plot. Seeing this I do not know if I am going to see this film because it seems all the suspense is gone for me. All the whole trailers today tell to much of the films and that gets to me. If I am going to see a movie, seeing the trailer is just one part to my decision. But if it shows to much then most of the time I am disappointed when I finally go see the film.
One other thing I saw a trailer for Hannibal, what for? They had not even started filming the movie when I saw this. To me that is way to early to start marketing a film. What do others think?

Can I be frank? I thought the trailer to Hannibal was "gay". There were chuckles all over when it came on. I've seen it 3 times and the reaction has always been the same.

The only thing resembling a trailer to Hannibal was a tiny teaser that
basically showed a bunch of words and a 2 second shot of Anthony Hopkins in
Silence of the Lambs. Somebody did that job in an afternoon.
