While I am still a LD holdout I expect to move to DVD within the year.
 I would expect any new formats to handle the older DVD discs and I am
finding it harder and harder to rent Laser discs.

A friend of mine bought a mid range DVD player and large screen TV.
It sucked.  Then he traded it back in and bought higher end equipment
which completely changed the quality.  I thought the image was
stunning.  Much better than my Laser Disc.  I think one of the big
secrets is that you have to have component inputs into the TV and
very few consumer TVs have that feature.

I am waiting for the digital outputs though and I understand that
they will arrive next year.

But unless I miss my guess, she uses this line later in the film.

I just checked, and Benadette definately said BOTH lines in the movie, as I
thought.

Blacknight and I were discussing the quotes, and based on the Priscilla
quote, I made the following observation:

Three of my favourite Australian movies of all time are:

Priscilla (sometimes difficult to tell your mates that you like it:-)

Strictly Ballroom (if you give it ten minutes [some people think it starts
off slow], I think you will LOVE it)

The Year My Voice Broke (one of my all-time favourites, very high on the list)

Does anyone have a specialised list of movies (small-budget, indy, foreign,
bad reviews, classics) that they would recommend??
