  42. Mhh, I didn't like it much, it was too long for my taste and the 
  43. story was quite unbelievable and a bit incoherent. First these 
  44. cops cover this guy and then they want to kill him. You would 
  45. expect such a "professional" behaviour from mobsters but not the 
  46. NYPD. With actors of the calibre of Keitel and DeNiro I would have 
  47. expected something better. And what was all that Ray Liotta thing 
  48. about? Sly ... mmh, I thought he played his usual not-so-smart-
  49. character, only this time without exaggerating it to a comic book 
  50. figure. I guess for his first endeavours in the realms of acting it 
  51. was ok but he never completely convinced me.

  53. I must admit I was disappointed and thought it to be a waste of 
  54. money. It was not bad enough to regret seeing it and getting all 
  55. worked up on it (which can be good) neither did I enjoy it.

  158. better movie that is in a similar category as Trainspotting was Clerks. A
  159. great garage movie by then unknown Kevin Smith. Another good movie by Smith
  160. was Chasing Amy. Of course he did do Mallrats, but let's just pretend that
  161. movie never happened.

  248.                 but personally I thought Clerks was a bad movie made by what=
  249.  
  250. looked like an inexperienced direector.I know I will come under fire for
  251. that, 
  252. cause everyone else seemed to like it. Two films that really didn't get any 
  253. credit were,Stockade with Charlie and Martin Sheen and Citizen X, with, I 
  254. think, Stephen Rea? Any thoughts?

  390. Your English skill is much better than mine....
  391.  
  392. Deep Impact will probably keep it's title as "Worst Movie of the Year" in
  393. my book.  The movie was very predictable... the characters were very
  394. weak... you really don't "get into" the movie.  There was too much product
  395. placement for me (I'm surprised they weren't handing out Ensure during the
  396. movie).

  398. I would not suggest going to Deep Impact.  I also haven't heard great
  399. things about "The Horse Wispserer"...but I haven't seen it for myself, yet.

  466. I thought they were both good.  I think the second one went overboard on 
  467. the dancing flubber, floating robot, etc, but my 4 year old, who watched 
  468. them both, enjoyed the second over the first.  I'll vote for the first, 
  469. but I'm sure my 4 year old would vote for the second.  Go figure??

  471. Is anyone looking as forward to The Truman Show as I am??  I can't wait 
  472. to see it. Could we finally have a not so ho-hum movie this summer???  I 
  473. think this is what the early screeners are saying!  This seems like a 
  474. great role for Jim Carry.  A chance for him to segue out of butt joke 
  475. humer and into more serious roles.  I think the guy is great and hope 
  476. this movie does it for him!

  530. All though I liked Trainspotting, being a US American, I couldn't 
  531. understand half the dialog due to the heavy accents (which is my problem 
  532. and in no way makes it a bad movie!).  A similiar movie that I really 
  533. liked, and could follow in with the dialog easier, was Drug Store 
  534. Cowboy.  Matt Dilon was really good in this one (a good actor all 
  535. around, BTW.  What ever happened to him??).
