Just to add my two cents: I knew what "elan" meant but took out my trusty
Webster's just to make sure. Some meanings include spirited self-assurance,
verve (I like verve) and dash (as in "a dashing young man in a lime green
suit"). I once met a boy named Elan, a lovely name. Isn't it great that
Moby is so intellectually stimulating besides just being stimulating
musically? Anne

I caught Moby at his Barowlands gig last year and have seen him twice at Greenbelt and once in a little room at Cardiff Art College. </DIV>

Hey everyone-
Moby uses two identical Carlo Robelli black strat copies on tour, and his Ibanez for home use in the studio. You can purchase a Carlo Robelli for about $175 U.S. Why so cheap? Kevin, Moby's guitar tech, says: If he smashes one, they just pick up a replacement in the next town. No time wasted on repairs.
