  35. Hi everyone - 
  36.     I was curious as to if Moby is recorded live very often and if so, does 
  37. anyone know a reliable source for some of the live tapes? I'd like to get a 
  38. copy of the NYC show that I saw, if it's at all possible. (Gotta love his 
  39. "na-na-na-na!" during Bodyrock :)  Also, while I was at the show I saw 
  40. someone videotaping. They were in front of the security though, in the little 
  41. area between the audience and the stage. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, 
  42. but I was thinking that maybe Moby would release some footage of his live 
  43. performances for the fans, like on his website or something like that.

  68.  sources who recorded the NYC show, and I'll keep in touch.  I do know=
  69.  someone who recorded the Rochester show though...

  131. I'd actually be interested in any of his live shows, depending on what the 
  132. track listings are, so I can try to collect different versions (such as 
  133. acoustic) for each of the songs.

  135. Has anyone heard the version of Bodyrock (I downloaded it off of Napster) 
  136. where Moby says something about a security gaurd wanting the building cleared 
  137. out right away? Was anyone at that show, or does anyone know what went on?

  211.  right now, wait a few mins), a couple of live Moby mp3s!  The first one is=
  212.  "Stairway to Heaven" with some hillarious Moby antics thrown in.  I=
  213.  couldn't resist, and had to upload this for you all to hear.  He's really=
  214.  nuts.  The second being "Run On" and I decided to upload this one because=
  215.  I think I remember a discussion about Moby not knowing how to play this=
  216.  live?  Or that may have been "South Side."  But in any case, they're both=
  217.  fun, and "Run On" is like Moby's acoustic/hip hop version.  He also=
  218.  introduces the band in 2 seconds, and in anotehr 1 second tells them to=
  219.  get off the stage.  Amusing and really neat stuff.  
  220.  
  221. Both songs were from 08.18.00 in Weeze, Germany @ the Bizarre Festival.
  222.  
  223. And as always, I do have the complete show, which is 2-discs, so if you'd=

  396. We were waiting in line and my roommate got to go backstage before the show
  397. for a meet and greet with Moby...apparently so "The Truth" can record some
  398. promotional stuff.  She asked him who he would like to meet the most and he
  399. said Gwar.  Then he said to say "thankyou" to the mobility list.  I was
  400. pissed off cause I was pretending to be her b/f but the guy is like no more
  401. people can go backstage.  Asshole :p
  402. Hyrbid was pretty damn cool, they are a band I could really chill out to,
  403. though the crowd I don't think thoroughly enjoyed them, the crowd seemed
  404. real stuck up till Moby came on anyways.
  405. Moby did the typical set list, though I have never heard the acoustic
  406. porcelain, the doors cover, or the guitar whale sounds in the sky is broken.
  407. There was this chick annoyingly freestyling behind us during the sky is
  408. broken so someome silenced her and pushed her back hehe.  Oh I was right in
  409. the front against the barrier.  I yelled that Greta was hot, and he said
  410. something about how all heterosexuals and homosexuals think she is sexy.  I
  411. got the tshirt he threw in the crowd and a drumstick.
  412.  
  413. So after the show we go to the back entrance.  I think maybe 7 people were
  414. there waiting.  He came out and signed a bunch of stuff, got a few things
  415. signed, tshirt cd and stuff.  He left pretty quick and jumped into a cab,
  416. but not before he payed attention to all the fans.  apparently johnny rotten
  417. was at the show, which is pretty f'in cool.  Yahoo was giving away moby cd's
  418. with whispering wind, porcelain rob dougan, princess, and down slow (full
  419. length).
