Ok Everyone,
Thanks for all the information. I realise that Moby does postings on here
every now and then... and even though I have been on here a few months now,
this is the first posting I have ever read. I don't feel Moby needs to
justify anything.. I think that was the point I was trying to make earlier.
Thankyou also for clearing up who Paul is. I remember reading that stuff
about 'Moby selling his soul' and didn't connect that it was the same guy. I
also thought that was a joke and am saddened to hear that it was for real...
:o(
Cheers,
Jess :o)

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAAA Oh this had me cracking up. I LOVE Wesley Willis, he
quickly became known to Detroiters who listen to the Drew & Mike morning
show.
They had him in studio a few times, he is an absolute riot.
"Casper the Homosexual Friendly Ghost" is one of my faves of his, but you
gotta love "I Wupped Batman's Ass", "Outburst", "The Chicken Cow", "He's
Doing Time In Jail", "OJ Simpson" and many of his other works.

Heya Moby,
I'll keep an eye out for this Paul Yates and I have read some of his
stuff about you. I, along with almost everyone on this list, will keep an
eye out for him and we will wish him the best for you, even though a
friendship no longer exists. I know how that feels, because I recently lost
my best friend, because she has been spreading bad stuff about me and
slandering me. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one, either. Thank you
kindly for letting us know what is going on, since a lot of things have been
posted on the internet that aren't even true about record releases and stuff
like that.
Best of luck from the list and from me,
Kim

Just thought everyone would like to know....
Moby has music out for another commercial. It's for the BLM-National
Forstry service or something like that. Robert Redford is the announcer...he
comes across it and says so....and they are playing "The Sky is Broken" by
Moby.

kinda funny, considering that the "random chick talking" they showed

I don't believe this! FAFU!!!
Fafu is Olly's sister. Olly's mom called in one day
and yelled at Olly for not going to Fafu's piano
recital. Sifl didnt even know Olly had a sister named
Fafu. They just made that up for that one skit tho, I
even asked about it and got an email back from Liam
(Olly)'s mom (who also plays Olly's mom ;) saying that
they just made that up for that skit, there isnt
actually a Fafu puppet or anything. Maybe next season
(which MTV is sitting on... gr.......)
Well anyway thats something to tell Sockheads.
Is there actually a DJ named Fafu?

From: "Caleb M. Bacon" <noneedle@hotmail.com>
Subject: (mobility) New Members Info
Hello all, I am a huge Moby fan and would like to introduce myself to you
all.
My name is Caleb, age 19, tho 20 later this year. I'm from Albany, NY (born
and raised) and go to UAlbany, I'm a soph. I will most likely be attending
Northeastern Univ in Boston next year.
My Moby collection is not extremely extensive. I have most of the regulars,
some singles and some bootlegs. Plus an autographed ticket from the man
himself.
I've known of Moby for a few years and liked Go. But I never really got into
his stuff hardcore until Play. Than after seeing him life for the first time
(Aug 2, 1999) my life changed and I began to become the big fan that I am
today.
Here is an edited version of a post I put onto mobyonline.com last week.
I have had the wonderful opportunity of attending two live Moby shows. The
first time I saw Moby live (Aug 99) was one of the best nights of my life. I
was so moved by his performance (I was sober, btw) that I was nearly brought
to tears, a very difficult task. And my tough-as-nails friend was also
feeling the same way. Something magical happened that night. I can't quite
describe it but it proved to be a very positive turning point in my life.
The next time I saw Moby and company was this past April for the MTV Campus
Invasion tour. When I saw that he was touring with
Bush (my girlfriend's favorite band) I told her if they were to come
anywhere in New York state (my home) that we would go. April 1 was the day
and we headed out to Oswego, NY on Lake Ontario. Mr. Hall was playing for a
crowd of roughly 3-4000. Most were there for
Bush.
Many crowd memebers were frat-boy instigators who attended Woodstock 99.
Oswego is just over an hour from Rome, NY, sight of the Woodstock Tragedy.
Moby recognized the geographic area and seized the oportunity to poke some
fun at these debauchers. They were none the wiser, while I was laughing.
This show wasn't as moving the first for many reasons. The crowd was very
rowdy and I could not get comfortable with idiots moshing to "My Weakness."
:) The environment was also less intimate than the first show. Moby and his
wonderful band are best appreciated in a smaller setting. The acoustics of
this basketball gym were also not very
friendly. Besides all of that it was great to see Moby again.
That show was also a huge turning point in my life. I realized that I could
do anything that I wanted when I really put my mind into "making it happen."
I asked my girlfriend and her friend if they wanted to meet Moby. They
emphatically said YES (plus we met Bush too.) I wanted to meet Moby just to
let him know how much I appreciated his music and performances.
To make a long story short out of hundreds who tried, we were the only three
to make it into his motel to meet him. We also met DJ Spinbad, who is not
only a great talent but a very nice guy.
Moby is a wonderful person. It was almost as if he was as excited to meet us
as we were to meet him. I kid you not. He had no problem in talking to us
for a few minutes. He autographed out tickets and drew the the picture that
is on all of the t-shirts. It was an amazing night and meeting Moby was
definitely a major highlight of my life. I am not a celebrity worshipper,
but I find that when you truly appreciate what someone does the nicest thing
you can do is let them know that. I was happy because I got to let a
favorite performer of mine receive the highest compliment.
My only complaint about that evening was that I never introduced myself. I
plan on meeting Mr. Hall again and introducing myself.
Later this month actually.
I will be attending Moby @ Siena College, Albany NY on 10/27. I am also
going to Moby in South Hadley, Mass on 10/25.
The 10/25 show will probably be one of the smallest on the whole tour and I
am very excited for that.
I also have a wide variety in music interests with them mainly falling into
progressive house. I have been a Hybrid fan for quite some time and I almost
fell out a window when I found out they were touring with Moby.
I look forward to Mobility
Caleb
