something to the effect of this:
moby got some festival gig offer in germany early on in his carreer, and
he was like "yeah!" and his manager was like "are you gonna just jump on
every offer you get like a little idiot?" and moby was like "yeah!".
that's aproximately how the story goes, as i got it.
cheers,
-mark
p.s. - if anyone sees any press about moby's soul being bought besides the
time magazine piece, could you cut it out and send it to me
perchance? it's amusing to me, as i'm the one that bought it. (don't
worry, i'll just keep it safe fer a bit then give it back to moby.)
i've heard there's at least been a bunch of press about it around nyc,
dunno about other areas.

Heh. I do know of Wesley Willis... heard him for the first time about
three years ago, maybe more. Anyway, I appreciate the Wesley Willis/Moby
tributes.
Hmm. A Moby/Wesley Willis collaboration would be something to see- then
again, Wesley Willis with anyone would be something to see.
On another note, in response to Moby's message: thanks for the update, and
for saying hello to your fan-types. Hmm. I hope to meet the guy someday
(he gets around Boston pretty often)... then I can tell him that I know
him through a separation of four degrees :)
Peace,
John.

I'd like to hear it. ND have some cool songs. And I
don't hate her because she dates Gavin! Or is it not
fashionable to do so anymore? Or are you supposed to
hate Gavin for dating her? Whatever, thats all so 4

<<<When did Moby play Toads?>>>
He actually opened the Play tour here in New Haven
County CT at the world famous Toads! :)
He played July 25, 1999. I know that because, it was
the day before my 16th bday. When I came out of the
show, I was 16! yay!
However, his new tour totally skipped CT totally. Not
a bad thing I guess, I don't really have enough $ to
keep going to shows.....
Also, I just listened to the SS with Gwen. Apparently,
I didnt actually click that link, and I typed it in
and I typed incorrectly. Forgot to add www or
something.
Anyway, I listened, and, well, I don't think it really
helped the song. Nothing against Gwen, just that the
song didnt seem like a No Doubt song. And her vox did
seem kinda tacked on. And I'd rather hear the Play
version. but hey, if this gets on the radio and blows
up, more power to it all!!!!! Moby still has not had a
Hot 100 charting hit. If Billboard actually sticked to
just songs released as singles for the charts,
however, and not added radio only trax like they did a
few years ago, then Natural Blues and I think bodyrock
and Porcelain wouldve definitely charted. But who
really cares anyway. They'll all be #1 in our hearts
;) Yeah, I know that sounds cheesy. Whatever.
ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, i jsut want to point out, those Moby Meets Wesley
Willis songs do NOT, in fact, actually exist. I wrote
them myself, theyre just songs in the style of Wesley
Willis, about Moby. I think Moby probly isn't cool
enough for Wesley to write a song about anymore, altho
apparently he doesnt wrrite as many rock-star songs as
he used to. He did write one about Atari Teenage Riot
tho ;) But anyway, neither of those Moby songs (as
well as some songs about Sifl & Olly I did in the
style ;) actually exist, in CD nor MP3 form, as one
person has requested. Then again, a good 90% or more
of you have no clue what I'm talking about anyway
so.....
But for those who do get it (yr so crescent fresh),

It's strange isn't it? I thought it was going to be a re-release of the
Honey single since that's the one that made the news (who is Kelis anyway?).
To release that under the WDMHFSB seems strange to me esp without the Elton
John version.
I wonder if Elton sings the sample each time or if he just sang it once and
Moby repeats the sample.

where did she interview him? backstage at the paramount? you can sorta
hear cheering in the background during the interview (cheering for hybrid,
i'm gonna assume).
actually, he didn't _really_ say he uses drugs, just that he has before
(mushrooms).
do you know if she was nervous? she didn't seem very comfortable or that
she knew what to say at times (which i can sympathize with). :)
