you know..i saw Stereolab back in 95' at Lollapalooza on the seconds stage(
moby actually performed on the second stage that year) and i did not think
they were anything amazing...is there something in their music now that might
have changed since 95? just curious because i might buy a cd or two if they
are really worth it...

(For San Fran people) I called the Warfield, the tickets are going on sale tomorrow (not sure of the time, I think it was noon). They cost $26.50. Apparently, if you buy tickets at the Fillmore between 10:00 and 4:00 on Sundays, you don't pay the service charge. (why had I never heard this before?!) They're ticketmaster tix so you can get them at the Fillmore...that's what the woman at the Warfield said anyway.
And yes, polls ARE fun!
But I agree with the person who said the latest posts have been shit. True, but well, we do go through this every once and awhile. And...polls are fun! I'm surprised that a lot of you don't have Moby on your favorite albums list. I understand though.
I'm too lazy to make a favorite albums list, but here are some bands/artists/groups that I like:
- -Moby
- -BT
- -Underworld
- -silverchair (people laugh at me for this, come on, the last album wasn't so bad...)
- -Jewel
- -Mono
- -Radiohead
- -Blur
- -Bjork
- -Portishead
- -Lamb
- -Beck
- -And I enjoy a bit of stuff like Marvin Gaye or Al Green every now and then.
hmmm, I feel like I'm forgetting a lot of bands, but oh well.
Songs:
- -Hollywood Freaks by Beck!!! Damn I love this song.
- -Debra by Beck (it's amaaazing live)
- -No Rain by Blind Melon
- -Bachelorette by Bjork
- -Enjoy by Bjork
- -Morning Song by Jewel
- -White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane
- -She Drives Me Crazy by the Fine Young Cannibals (you know you like it too)
And I don't like:
- -A lot of things that people have already said so I won't bother listing them.
Ok, I'm done now. My lists seem pretty boring.

I just got that album for my birthday 2 days ago. I don't share your exact enthusiasm Paul, but I do like it. I also have the First of the Microbe Hunters which I actually enjoy a little more than Cobra and Phases.
And what's playing in my background:
Op Hop Detonation by Stereolab.
Bye now,
