Hello all,
<<I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what it is the PhotoShop lackies
>airbrushed off of the front of his shirt on the cover pic. In the picture in
>the Table of Contents, Mobes has the same arrowed purple shirt on, but "???
>American" (or something like that) is written beneath it. Anyone know?
>>
I noticed that too. And I'm staring at it right now. Looks like sorth...north perhaps. I dunno.
<<Also, what happened to Thanks 2? and the Thanks
reissue? Thanks (our lill Moby tribute album) was such
a damn good album, its a shame so many people can't
hear it.>>
I swear this got played on the Santa Clara U radio station. It was before I was really into Moby and I remember the DJ saying, I'm going to play this whole Moby tribute album now and that he had a song on it....it was awhile ago. If I'm right then, you, Mr. DJ would probably be on this list.
<<Hey thanks Sara for the Q-content, I really appreciate
it! just what I wanted, thanks for going to all that trouble typing an'
all>>
Thanks for the thanks. It sucks if you type all that out you know, and no one acknowledges it. So thanks for being nice.
<<I know Moby
said A/R was a very self-indulgent album, might be nice to see him
"indulge" again, maybe he could suprise us all..... do a country album!>>
I would love that...seriously. He was saying how the next is R & B influenced. "I think it will be melodic and romantic," he says. "In a kind of Bill Withers, Al Green sense." (I'm still staring at Q) I cannot wait to hear this. I think I'll go put on some Marvin Gaye.
I uploaded the pics from Interview mag. by David LaChapelle.
I just really liked them (except the cover...), so if you haven't seen them yet. Take a look. I really liked the interview too. Just great. Too lazy to type that tho.
<<Seeing as I am at work on a saturday! I told you I had gone insane!>>
Blah, they made me work Friday night, all day Saturday, and Saturday night. I shouldn't complain tho, I really like my job most of the time.
Anyway,
bye for now

I can't say for sure, since i really don't know
either of their personalities.... just speaking
on a level of production styles), but it would be
brilliant, I think to see them remix each other.
I'd love to see what BT would do to a track like
"Bodyrock" or "Find My Baby", and likewise the
direction moby would steer a cut like "Never
Gonna Come Back Down" or "Giving Up the Ghost".

BT records his own brain waves. He's kinda obsessive, but genius, so
forgiven. Total math geek.
Sadly, Never Gonna Come Back Down is looking at a promo release only. I
would love to hear a BT remix of "Porcelain" or "Machete". As for a Moby
remix, I think "ride" needs a Moby touch, or "Satellite" could have some
magic to it.
I still think a collaboration would be great. Moby could lay down the vocals
and basic instrumentals and BT could work production magic. In the MISL
notes, BT thanks Moby, so there's some type of relationship there, even
though BT dissed Animal Rights. God, I know way to much information.

Anyone else notice that BT thanks Moby in the liner notes of Movement in Still Life? Along with Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, Digweed, Oakenfeld, and Flipper. And Never Gonna Come Back Down was #4 of the most requested songs on the San Fran 'modern rock' station the 2 days I listened. I was surprised. The radio edit is weird, it seems like they tried to make it sound more like a normal radio song which made it come out pretty odd.
Going to Cyber Fest by any chance? I don't think I'm going, but who knows. My friend's brother is DJing so I don't know, I might.

I do agree with you, and I think the beauty of his music is that he does
just that... blows you away, with the fact you never quite know what he is
going to surprise you with. I do remember now reading an article of a more
sexy, soulful feel coming to his next record, We'll just have to wait and
see what original way he puts across this "feel".
As for air play, in NZ that is, Ive only ever heard him once, on any radio
station over here! thats not to say his music isnt well recieved over
here.... in fact his latest went gold, I just think his music has this way
of when you hear it, it implants itself into your mind... Like the first
time I heard him, you have to ask....... who is this playing?, its
