well i mean no offense to any one, but most of the "ravers" i've
ran into and met, were pretty much nothing but drug downing idiots
that believe the only good music comes from a drum machine or
computer, such as keoki (loser!), so i'm not suprised that such a
great musican would be gettin bashed like no ones buisness, like
i said at the beginning i mean no offense to anyone who may
consider themself a "raver" or who perhaps is a fan of keoki, i'm
commenting on those i've met, and just stating my oppinion.

I don't know about the roadies part, but the band
really does just play over what's on the
recordings... the only live part I think is the
bongos... I could be wrong, though. It's still
a good show, however.

Hello all,
From the finest Publicity Department under the sun, here's a quick update. It's
Moby on the Little Idiot Box...
FRIDAY, MAY 5 - TONIGHT SHOW (some call it "Leno").
FRIDAY, MAY 12 - SESSIONS AT W.54TH ST - on PBS (Moby and band perform a number
of songs. Also on that show - The Cranberries.) This show is syndicated so it
may air in your market on 5/13 if not 5/12.
(awaiting airdate) Later with Cynthia Garrett - on NBC - in NYC this airs after
Conan O'Brien. Should air week of May 8-12 (Moby and band are taping it on May 3
in LA)

first-the clips at mtv.campusinvasion.com are finally working correctly.
There are five moby and five bush clips, in case ya'll didn't know.
second-I know at the show I was at (lubbock) i was surprised at how into
Moby people were. I heard the "Kids" (between 13-15 years) talking about
how they hoped he would pull out some stuff from Animal Rights, etc. During
his set the crowd was entirely into dancing...My sister read me the school's
review and it talked about how even the Bush only fans were thoroughly into
Moby's intense set. I think he won the crowd over especially during that
Rock-Arena guitar solo he did. That was hilarious.

mean seriously!
Don't even worry about "a good comeback" to yell at
these people. They suck plain and simple, dont even

Glad I discovered Moby.
My name is Joe, I'm 18. I really love my music and so I got a job at a
cd store, that's how I discovered Moby. My favorite song is easily
Porcelain, I discovered it on "The Beach" but I didn't know what it
was. I like all sorts of other artists, Mainly Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Our Lady Peace, Cake and a new artist Angie Apparo. I've played piano,
trumpet, guitar and cello for 5 years now, so my taste in music ranges
from Beetoven to 2Pac. About a week ago, me and my buddies went raod
tripping for spring break, I put in "Play" and I don't think we took
it out once for 5 days. So far all I own is "Play" and I just bought
"Animal rights" I really like his softer more emotional stuff so I was
told to get "Everything is wrong" There's two versions aren't there?
What I was wondering was what the difference is and if the bigger one
is better? I can order it in from my work pretty cheaply if I want...
Anyways, and like any new member, I'm wondering where to get posters,
stickers etc... Than

huge difference in what i call music and my friends at school do. im trying
to get them more into techno and all but i know they'll never love the music

That comment wasn't mean to be disparaging. I'm only 17myeslf and have been
deep into alanis, sarah, tori, et al for more than five years. What I was
trying to say was that a broad range of fans were present at the show and
that for being a small town, I was surprised at the scope of fans. I also
intended to point out that it was not just a group of people who only knew
Moby by Play, and had no idea he was an established artist.
Which is why I put "kids" in parentheses (sp?) because I am merely a few
years older.
That was all...

I don't know about calling her because she was sick, but I read recently that
they're friends and Mobes put Natalie and some friends of her on a guest list
for one of his shows, but Natalie et al. got there too late and the list was
closed, and they wouldn't let her in. Then, somehow, it got to be a rumor that
she was trying to use a fake ID or something.
Just saw the Campus Invasion clips. Meeeemoriieess..
I swear, if you don't start moving during any of the Mobester's stuff, then
something is probably wrong with you..

She had her wisdom teeth pulled, and Moby called her during a concert and
had the crowd yell something to her, something like "Hi, Nat!" I think it
was one of the early concert on his solo tour, New York maybe. Somebody
posted that story here, or on a yahoo club or something.

Whatever the different ideas of DJing are, whoever said that he heard
Moby say he is only a Musician was mistaken. Of course Moby DJs, he is a
very good DJ, he started out DJing, still DJs, has albums released that
are just him DJing (Mixmag etc.), has a lot to comment about on DJs, and
if you listen to any of his older music, you will know immediatly that
he did and does DJ. So, the answer is, YES, Moby is a DJ.
