Hello-
I am trying to get the setlist for Moby's Lubbock show a couple of weeks
ago. Is there a page where all this setlists are kept (like The Dent in
the Tori Amos Universe)? or does anybody know the setlist? I know that he
did:
Porcelain
Bodyrock
Natural Blues
Go
007
Why Does My Heart Feel so Bad?
He closed with a song he called "The fastest song according to Guiness."
But I only had Play at the time so I don't know the other stuff.
thanx.

Hello Anthony :)
I didn't see him at Lubbock, but I saw him on the Campus Invasion tour. The
song you/he was referring to is 1000. It is the fastest song according to
Guiness b/c it has 1000 beats per minute at one point :)
Other songs he performed for us were:
Why Can't It Stop?
Well, urm, thats it that I can think of ;]
Hope this helped in some way or another.

Praise and hail to thee, and humble thanks ... for the descriptions and the
(upcoming) uploads!
Rob
P.S.
Finally - after waiting for 3 months!! - I received my order from CD-Plaza
(Amsterdam).
"Into the blue remixes" (LCD 179), "Hymn 1" (CD161) and "Hymn 2 -
alt.quiet.version" (LCD161).
About $7,= each, but 3 months ... phew! I'll try and upload the tracks that are
still 'missing' to the FTP-site.

I think you are correct, Rob. If I remember, Mr.
Bourke should be winging his way to the jade
isles of Japan for the next year. Somebody DID
manage to back-up the entire old ftp site, right?
I have most of it, but there are large gaps in
what I had an opportunity to download.

i don't imagine that there will ever be a southside single release because
when i was at one of his shows last summer, i yelled it out when he was
asking for requests and he said that the band doesn't know how to play
it....even he doesn't! he said he was just fooling around one day and made
it up in like an hour and it made it's way onto the album...but he can't
play it live.

So, this means back to zero? Or is there anyone out there already building a new
site? I did manage to download virtually anything that was on the site, so I
could help 'rebuilding' ...

When I saw Moby in Kalamazoo, MI a few weeks ago I noticed that most of the
people who were there never heard of the wonferous moby or were like "Why is
moby playing with Bush? They're so different and Moby suck" (quote from the
teeney-boppers behind me in line) But during the show a lot of people
started to groove to it and a girl next to me said she was blown away and
was going to buy his cds! That's so beautiful when someone is moved by the
music for the first time!:) I just thought I'd share that.

Hey folksz,
I'm just scratching my head wondering, how in the hell
are remixes of "Porcelain" possibly gonna werk? I
mean, thats such a great song, i dont know how any1ne
could add to it and still keep it great. I was real
dissapointed with some of the other remixes from Play
especially Oakey's NB (my GOD...) i havent heard Mike
D's yet tho, i really want to ;) no doubt thatll be on
the Play Remix cd right?
I dunno, sometimes remixes can be a bit pointless i
think. i mean sometimes theyre fun but, you know? I
feel weird saying this, i sound like my mom or
something. like, whats the point of buying 17eventeen
versions of 1ne song? and then doing it again for
7even more songs? ;) but whatever, ill get the Play
remix album when it comes out. that should be enough
tho. lets hope they do better with that than with the
US NB single ;P
also, i just saw last nites AMP. they replaced the
opening with Deepsky "Tempest" (which theyve used for
about 4our years as their opening theme) and now they
used DHS "House Of God" ;) and later as interstital
they played bits of that and We "3/10 of the
population" and at the end they played part of the EBN
mix of Coldcut "Timber"!!! Oldskool AMP classix! ROCK!
Which of course reminds me, AMP is extremely lucky.
its 1ne of the few MTV shows that actually is a good
idea (if not always properly executed...) that has
been on for so damn long. I mean 120 has been on
forever too, and they ocasionally play good stuff (tho
not nearly enough, but then again thats basically how
muzik is these days...) but at least its a somewhat
good idea (practically anything other than "super
heavy saturation rotation" (or completely non-muzik
related at all) on MTV is a good idea, and that
narrows a lot down!)
but like, if they can keep AMP on for 4our years, LONG
after every1ne was flailing their arms about yelling
"TECHNO IS THE PHUTURE!!!!!", then thats an
achievement. however, i will always hate MTV until i
die for just pulling the plug on Sifl & Olly, the
single most genius show on television (possibly
including the Simpsons, maybe not), and STILL not
bringing it back after a year plus absence!
But you guys dont want to hear me rant about that
anymore ;)
Anyway, I got another show on WPKN! its Sunday May
7even 10en AM-2wo PM and im gonna play the new Sonic
Youth album at noon. yes thats right, its not even out
for 3hree weeks and we got a copy! i snuck it out of
the back room and popped it in for a quick
fast-forward, its pretty groovy. i cant wait to world
premiere it ;)
ok ROCK!
