he sure does have a great sense of humor...when he played up here in k-zoo,
(not sure for what song) but was like this is for all the guys that slip
roofies into girls drinks, and at one point he actually had to bite his
tongue becuz he was going to say somethign really offensive...i only wonder
what he was going to say.

hey, everybody.
Im new here and i was just wondering where everyone was from and all that
stuff.
I live in Houston, but I go to school in Huntsville, and I'm a radio and
television major.
I'm actually doing a project on Moby for one of my classes.
It's going to be kind of weak, just a brief background and a small
discography of stuff he released under the name Moby.
Maybe if I had more time between now and next Tuesday I could make it
better.
Well, write back and let me know about you.
Or don't it doesnt matter.
Just thought I'd say Hi.

Hello all,
I forgot to mention the bit where Moby was introducing Feeling So Real at
the 4-15 show at the UofI. He mentions that since there are so many frat
boys out tonight, they should take this oportunity to dance like they are
"Queen of the world". I believe that is the phrase he used. He went on to
say that there is more to life than ESPN and putting Liquid G in girls
drinks.

Thanx courtney....Raves...I went to one in search of my daughter. I'll be
honest..and I know I'll fuffle feathers when I say this....It was pathetic.
The Music was REALLY GREAT and as i was frantically searching for her i
couldn't help but want to enjoy the music BUT...I saw waaaay too many majorly
drugged up kids and ALOT of miserable looking kids. My daughter defends Raves
and i would too if I were her age but I can't help but want to protect her
from what i saw. Its a shame they cant be more like what alot of the kids
want....good music and drugfree. As a mom who loves her girls..I'll not
accept that type of environment. Ok.....um you know...MOBY did not play
thousand when he was here in ohio.....looking forward to his next tour this
autumn( had to get on the MOBY subject!!)

IT's not just frat boys doing it. Many of the girls and guys i know that got
GHB slipped into their drinks had nothing to do with frat boys. Just because
they are in frats doesn't mean that they aren't like other college age kids
that aren't in the greek system. Trust me, the majority of the jerks i know
aren't in fraternities. So don't rank on my boys.

Good question..I almost added that thought about a MOBY "rave" to my previous
note...but it was already getting lengthy. I'd like to think there would be a
difference from what I saw at this rave...maybe what i experienced was
unusually depressing (<~~my opinion..I mean really... these people did not
act happy or even alive for the most part. They were lifeless and very wasted
looking to me. I understand you can be mellowed out and enjoying the
music..but it wasnt the same trust me.Yes I am sure there were some happy
drug free ones there) I honestly cannot imagine anyone seeing what I saw in
alot of the kids and thinking...this is GOOD this is POSITIVE.
Anyways from what I know of Moby he seems to support the idea of people
using their brains and energy in a good/healthy way. To not spend your youth
dabbling in some serious drugs only to find out later it's messed with you to
a point that its affected your ability to be a healthy old person and to live
as long as possible with as much of your faculties that you can hope to have.
Anyways...I happen to think that yes....I'd make an exception to let them go
to a Moby rave..maybe. As long as I could go too! Of course I'd allow my
girls to ditch me at the gate so they'd not have to be seen with a parent!
More later maybe?? Must go!! Cheri...a former druggie..so I am not one who
has never been there!
