These aren't OFFICIAL remixes, but, if I had my way... I don't think that
anyone would have a problem shelling out a few bucks for a CD of exclusive
bootlegs. I do it all the time. I'm not trying to make a million bucks, i'd
just like to be heard. And i'd like to make a few bucks to cover the cost of
time and Cd's. thats all. When Its ready, i'll let everyone know. You can buy
it or not. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything.

Alright, I just wanted you to know that I do make my own music as well. I now
have some songs going up to the ftp as well. The fist is an emotional piece
called "Cloudburst". It was written about lost love and finding happiness.
Hopefully you all will hear it.

Don't look at me, I wasn't even close!
Well, guys, solve the problem like I did with Bart, I won the auction and I
only wanted the remixes themselves and did not really care about the item
itself.
So I recorded the special remixes on CDr and gave Bart the opportunity to
buy it from me at a price we discussed. Maybe one of you could do the same.
Actually, one shouldn't be affected by the fact he's bidding against someone
from the list. It's difficult isn't it, when there is only one promo CD or
whatever CD and you are bidding with several people from the list. I mean,
everyone wants that rare item one way or another......
And I think the one who places the highest bid is entitled to the item -->
Is he obliged to let it go at a ridiculous low price just because someone
else from the list is bidding as well.
If I wouldn't have placed that bid back then, I would have never seen or
heard these mixes. What is one supposed to do?????
I think this is a difficult matter, but I go for the option, if you want
something, just place your maximum bid, and if you happen to bid against
someone from this list, .... well, it's what the item is worth to you, and
not for the other one, because if you don't place the highest bid, you may
never get it after all........
Cheers (and don't send me any bombs now)

Hi Mark,
Now that you've won the Westbam auction on eBay, could you please
upload the Paul Yates Mix to the ftp? (or is that still difficult for you?)
I'm wondering if this mix is the same as the "Moby Remix" since I own
the single below and I'm not sure if I have to buy another one for the Paul
Yates Mix...
BAM BAM BAM (REMIXES) [Westbam, 1994]
GE CD, Low Spirit, 853 521-2
1 5:45 Bam Bam Bam (Moby Remix)
4 6:37 Bam Bam Bam (Moby Dub Mix)

Subject: (mobility) Moby in Jonesboro, AR
I made the two-hour drive last night to see Moby
open for Bush at Arkansas State University. The
setlist was fairly typical for this tour: My
Weakness, Machete, Why Can't It Stop?, Porcelain,
James Bond Theme, Go, Why Does My Heart Feel So
Bad?, Ah Ah, Bring Back My Happiness, Natural
Blues, Bodyrock, Feeling So Real, and Thousand.
The set was intense. Less than a quarter of the
audience of had heard of Moby before the show
started, and my friend Xander and I kept getting
weird looks because we were dancing and sweating
like it was 1999, when most people were just
standing there and clapping. (Have you ever gone
to one of those shows where you dance and sweat
so much you can actually SEE the difference in
your body the next day.... that's what this one
was like). Moby was of course a barely contained
explosion for the entire time he was on stage.
And Thousand only gains in intensity and visual
poingiancy on a large stage with three stories of
lights pumping at 1,000 BMP.
Moby employed a unique trick to win over this
borderline hostile Bush crowd: Insulting the
Audience. I'll repeat the highlights as my
sleep-deprived memory can recall:
1. Moby says to the audience, "This being a
university, has anyone studied the early 20th
century behavioral experiments of Pavlov?"
(Crickets chirping. One psych major yells).
Moby launches into the opening riff of "Sweet
Home Alabama" on his guitar, followed by wild
cheers from the audience.
He abruptly stops and says, "Thanks for helping
me continue those experiments."
2. As he was introducing the "James Bond Theme":
he said, "I did a song for a movie a couple of
years ago, and the movie was a complete piece of
shit. But the song is really fun to play."
3. Introducing "Go": "I donated all the money I
made off this next song to (a pro-gun control
organization) because I think the NRA are a bunch
of fascist, right wing pigs."
An audible gasp and then stunned silence from the
VERY pro-NRA audience.
4. Introducing "Bodyrock": "Since this is kind of
arena tour, I guess I should do the big 80's bad
hair-metal guitar solo." He plays the solo and
says, "I did that because I know there are some
of you out there, chewing tobacco in your back
pocket, saying to your girlfriend, (in a thick
southern drawl) 'Who is the f-ing pussy?' So I
had to show you, I'm no f-ing pussy."
5. Introducing "Feeling So Real": "I may be
biased towards my own material, but this next
song I think is the most beautiful gay disco song
ever.
(No reaction from crowd)
"Oh you guys don't like gay disco? Ok, try this:
This next song is my favorite Jock Jam. It's the
same thing though. You laugh, but I remember the
first time I went to Europe ten years ago and
someone took me to a gay club, and there's all
these sweaty, half-naked men dancing to 'Pump Up
the Jam, Pump it Up...'. Then I go to a baseball
game in New York last summer and it's the same
thing, only this time the half-naked men all have
big fat stomachs. Maybe if they'd spent the last
ten years dancing, they wouldn't have those big
stomachs."
What's funny is how well it worked. I think most
people got the humor he intended, and a lot of
people were blown away by his set. Of course,
most people were there to see Bush, and it
showed.
We hung out back by the buses to try and meet him
after the show. I brought the "Paul
Yates"/"Schaumgummi" 7" I had received in the
mail the same day, but he never came out, or at
least not to where we were standing. I heard he
signed a few autographs by the FRONT of the
venue, but never made it to the back before we
left. He would have, I'm sure, however, The
promoters ordered Moby a pizza after his
performance (if that's the dinner he's getting
from the local promoters, he should really talk
to his manager about the rider on his contract),
and it arrived with real cheese on top, so they
had to send it back and wait (apparently) hours
on a pie with soy cheese. Oh well, there's always
next time.
