Hey everybody! I'm driving for hours to see Mobylicious for the campus
invasion tour he's doing w/Bush. I'm SO excited. I really don't believe in
"signs" or anything, but while I was at the salon today, they played 3 (!)
Moby songs consecutively! Coolness! Anyway, I was wondering what the chances
are of meeting him after the show or something. How long is his set, and
does anyone know what his intinerary is? :) Thanks all!
Keep reaching for the stars,

Hiya!! hey, have a great time!! My husband and i hung out by the buses and
the back entrance to the concert PRIOR to the concert and we met Moby as he
was walking in. He was very shy and seemed a bit preoccupied (natch). That
was at 7 ish and the concert started at 7:30 if that helps. We met Spinbad
duringthe bush concert. We talked to him at length out in the halls. He was
great! Really nice guy. Also, we hung out with the crowds AFTER the concert
once again by the buses. Finally Moby came from behind a bus and quickly went
into his own but not before I yelled "MOBY!! great concert!" He turned and
said thanx and then went on in his bus. I read here that after things all
died down and the swarms left from seeing Bush that Moby had a group in the
bus to chat and sign autographs.I'd say the odds of you seeing him are very
good!! Let us know!!! Have a great safe time!!
So this is goodbye........Cheri (-:

I'm having a go at some remixes after listening to tripp's work (got me
inspired, somewhat), I've recorded some tunes and wrote some stuff in
fruity loops pro. Bitrate is my main problem, it seriously does the end
result no good at all.
Any chance of setting us up with some software, I don't mean to be rude,
I loving doing this and it's the software I have that limits me.
If you can, if you can't, don't mind.
Cheers,
Dave
PS. Nice of Moby to write, it's not often that you get artists like him
who go out of their way for their fans like that.
Cheers for your time Moby (if that's your real name! lol).

Rob D is Rob Dougan and he is part of the FANTASTIC Cheeky Records family
which of course is headed up by the brilliant Rollo. Rollo and Rob D have
done many projects together over the years (Our Tribe, a bunch of remixes).
I have the single "Furious Angels" which is based on "Clubed To Death"
which is the track used in the Matrix.
Any time one of the Cheeky crew does a mix for Moby I'm excited. I'm a huge
Rollo/Faithless fan as well as of course our favorite Moby so this is
exciting news!!
2 more B-Sides too. Can't wait!!

My brother and I split after Moby's set as we really weren't there to see
Bush and we figured it was our best chance to meet Moby. So we waited back
by the bus, the only ones waiting there, and sure enough out came Moby all
by himself to the bus. He talked with us for about 5 minutes, signed my
Voodoo Child CD with a "Little Idiot" drawing and did the same on my
brothers T-shirt. He was incredibly nice and down to earth and gracious as
you'd expect him to be. I was worried we were bugging him but he was
incredibly cool and made us feel welcome. His set lasts about an hour by
the way :)

Since Mixman and Beatnik are the same company now, I wonder if they will be
releasing a any Moby Mixman D-plate. A D-Plate is a set of samples that you
can fool around with in Mixman.
I recently purchased the downloadable $20 version of Mixman... It is really
fun, even if if the results are not spectacular. You can get it at
www.mixman.com .

I was happy to hear moby on it. my friend, who isn't really into moby,

Thanks to that, I had to give up my band name. It was

oh josh, where do i start? i'll start where it got
exciting. after a whole day of being bored out of my
mind (at WPKN? yes it is possible, if you have yr
rights to use the practice room waived) when all of
the sudden, the 3hree-6ix PM shift ends and Terry is
realizing "hey! i have to get something on the air
before the drum circle!) so he scrambles to get his
theme song (by Lecture On Nothing, forgot the song
name tho) and the Babble cd that he plays a lot and
then Andy's like "Paul!" Get some techno! NOW!" so i
got a bunch of cds i brought in and i gave him some
things to play and i got to talk on the air! i played
Orbital, Stereolab, Moby (duh), Nightmares On Wax,
Alec Empire (from Limited Editions 90-94, Andy and
Terry liked that a lot... definitely NOT Digital
Hardcore!), ╡-ziq, Mr. Oizo, and i think thats it. and
we got a few phone calls wondering "what was that song
'Yr 1ne Of My Tribe'?" which was of course Babble and
not something I picked out but anyway the important
thing is.... ROD RICHARDSON was listening...... and,
he called in and said "well, Saturday from 10en AM-2wo
PM is free..." so there you have it!!!!! "Chester's
Blanket Fort" begins in under a week!!!! hurrrrah!!!!!
so all this week I'll be planning out the playlist,
becuz its during the day and its my first show so i
gotta be perfect and no swears and anything. but damn,
thats amazing! AND, since it's Passover/Easter
weekend, theres no fundraising the entire weekend.....
so you get 4our undiluted hours of ME! yay!!!! and you
can all listen at 89.5 FM or wpkn.org but who knows
how many people can actually listen, i think we have a
sall server or something.. but thats great! and i'm
gonna play a whole hour of non-stop Moby at noon. yay!
and I'll send u all the playlist afterwards.
oh yeah, the drum circle was the best EVER!!!!!!!!! my
god, tthere was so much RHYTHM. and it was more of an
actual circle too. and also it was recorded on video
and DAT so i may get to see it and hear it again! and
i met all these nice people, got some publicity for my
show ;) and just generally had a brilliant time. too
bad the pizza and soda ran out very early (they hardly
got any this time!)
well anyway im so excited, you guys have an excellent
week and you may hear me Saturday! 10am-2pm! rock!
bye!
