I have a lot of Elton's older stuff on CD. Elton John is a true legend and
I am a huge admirer of him. His 90's stuff has been mostly shlock with a
few notable gems thrown in ("Sacrifice", "The Last Song" among them) but
there is NO denying the brilliance of his 70's and most of his 80's
material. Watch the VH-1 Behind the Music for an idea of just how huge
Elton John was in his heyday if you're too young to realize :)
Some of the greatest ballads of all time have come from the pen of Bernie
Taupin and the piano of Elton John.
Really cool that Elton admires Moby. Good taste!

sound was terrible, and the crowd just sort of stood there, but he did a
really nice set. Just as much energy as always. We left when bush came on
and met moby by his tour bus. I have been waiting so long to meet him!!I
told him how i felt about his music- how i think it makes you see the world
differently once you've really experienced it, and he gave me a big hug and
invited us back to his hotel. We went to his party with his technicians and
stuff. It was wonderful. What an amazing individual. I hope all of you with
tickets to the upcoming shows have a great time.

ROB SKIPWORTH! I tried to reply to yr email but Yahoo
won't let me for some reason! it says yr email adress
doesnt exist or sumthin! but anyway thanks!!! and did
u get my cd i sent you? i didnt get the fiver u sent
me, is that in with.... um anywayz,
hey folks. i just wrapped up a Official Sockheads
Muzik Poll so i thought i might do the same here.
Basically what i did is collected Top 10en lists from
every1ne of their fave bands n stuff, n i compiled em
and put em into a countdown type thing.
for example, heres the Official Top 10en bands of the
Sockheads:
1ne. Sifl & Olly of course!
2wo. Beck (fitting, since the person who was on
Fanatic recently with Beck is a Sockhead! altho they
screwed her over and played 20wenty minutes of the
Christina Aguiilera interview and only 3hree of the
Beck interview...)
3hree. Radiohead
4our. Beatles
5ive. Bjork
6ix. TMBG
7even. Beasties
8ight. Doors (amazingly, many doors votes!)
9ine. Blink 182
10en. MXPX
altho i noticed just now i made a mistake. Tori Amos
got about 10en or 11even votes or so, so she's probly
be in the top 5ive. i just forgot to add her in there
somehow. crap. oh well.
so everyone please send me yr top 10en votes and i'll
make a similar chart! cool!
my top 10en:
1ne. Joe Public (ha ha, just kidding, its Moby)
2wo. S&O
3hree. TMBG
4our. Beasties
5ive. Stereolab
6ix. Blur
7even. Pixies
8ight. Goldie
9ine. Simpsons
10en. Mr. Oizo...
altho i have been lsitening to ╡-ziq a lot lately, and
plus maybe i should include KLF or something... this
list is always a challenge of course, and you can
always add in more votes or whatever. it doesnt *have*
to be top 1oen necisarily.
ok i might as well tell tham about the Tori error ;)
bye!
ROCK!

6. Faithless
7. Miles Davis (seems weird in all this electronic stuff but it's true)

Hello list people!
So, I walked into Sam Goody the other day w/o my
credit cards (Good Pagan!) and say a new series
from the Global Underground crew: Prototype,
mixed by Seb Fontaine. I was wondering if anyone
had picked this up and if the discs were worth
paying the money for them. I see words like acid
and jungle on the back of them, but that doesn't
mean squat anymore. Any thoughts?

going thru my record collection, i found a few more
things i dont need. one of them happens to be
Moby-related! It's the Saint Soundtrack, which
features the unedited version of "Oil 1" (the version
on I Like To Score is slightly shorter for sum
reason....)
I'll sell that for $8ight to any1ne that wants it.
also, i got um a few cds that Moby remixed songs from
;)
Soundgarden: Down On The Upside ($8ight)
Smashing Pumpkins: Mellon Collie And The Infinite
Sandess ($12elve...i feel kinda guilty getting rid of
this, but i never listen to it anymore and i can
hardyl stand the Pumpkins anymore, so someone else can
have it)
also for sale:
Smashing Pumpkins: Pisces Iscariot $8ight
Stone Temple Pilots: Tiny Music Songs From The Vatican
Gift Shop $7even
Ramones:Mondo Bizarro $6ix
first come first serve! cheep muzik! get em while
theyre hot!
alright, also, THEY PLAYED A NEW DAFT PUNK VIDEO ON
120 MINUTES!! unfortunately, its an old song, "Fresh"
from "Homework" its basically a continuation of the
"Da Funk" video, with the dog guy. its defnitely
awesome, since that was one of the awesomest videos,
but like, why? why now? why that song? why the hell
don't they come up with some new songs already????? i
mean, they said it was from Daft's new DVD "Dogs
Androids Firemen and Tomatoes" ;) but when "Homework"
was recorded there were no such things as DVDs, at
least no to public knowledge. and that album was just
so awesome, and they never recorded a followup...
either come out with new tunes, or break up
already!!!!!! jeez!!!1
also, they also played the insane new Supergrass
video, which is labeled as a BREAKTHRU VIDEO so that
means theyre actually playing it! in fact, i just saw
it on VH1ne a few minutes ago! its a CRAZY video. it's
Sesame Street on crack. and yes, they are actually
Muppets. aaltho the reviews I've read of the album
arent great, and the song sounds too ordinary to get
into. but its an impressive video, and maybe itll win
the band some US fans, that wouldnt be too bad.
alright, bye kids! dont all respond at once ;) im
kidding, all respond at once.
