Yeah -- he did a remix of "Miserablism", b-side to "Was it Worth
It?". A very nice remix, though very different from the original. :)
Must be cool to be a PSB fan in Newcastle. :)

This was such a fun interview. :) I'm still a bit bummed that Moby
didn't do the Onion Suit though!! That would have been great... or that
"cracker" tshirt idea was funny.
I only wish i had my vcr here when they showed it. How often do they
repeat episodes? Do they have some kind of rerun schedule or do they just
do that haphazardly?
I thought it was so sweet the way he admitted he was nervous and seeing
him don that wig, glasses and jacket was adorable. How can you not love
this guy? Although i could see how if you weren't familiar with him and
you just happened to tune in you'd think he was a bit "odd".
i'm literally speechless. :)

Oh i think her voice is fabulous. It's certainly not conventional, but
it's got this great feel to it. I really liked the way her speaking voice
was very similar to her singing voice... very neat. Also, how tall is she
anyway?? She looked *huge* when she was presenting an award on the
grammy's, she was absolutely towering.

Her voice is very different... but I think it'll grow on me. Apparently
David Bowie is a big fan, and has gone out of his way to get to know her. He
even called her one day for no reason other than to tell her how much he
missed his wife, because she was out of town (probably on a modelling job).

Nearly everyone does in LA. I've found that the time it takes for music to get
out of LA and into the rest of the country is about three months. (At least,
this is true for Houston.) With the way Moby is being promoted right now, I
don't think it will be long before he explodes over the US.

Forgive me for my ignorance of rare moby songs, but
I got a bunch of them from the ftp site and I was
wondering if everything on that site is created by
moby, or if some of the tracks are remixes by other
fans/artists.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of people
remixing moby's work. But I got the sense that some of
those tracks might not have been created by Moby.
Could anyone set me straight about this? I love a lot
of those songs, and I want to give credit where
credit's due. One in particular,
Hymn.alt.quiet.version is sweet as hell and I'd like
to know why Moby never released it (if he IS the
remixer???).
enlighten me,
Mike

I recently discovered hardknox via the mp3.com
Music and Technology tour promotional cd that got
mailed out to mp3.com's snail mail list. I LOVED
the two songs on there, and included one ("Coz I
Can") on a dj mix disc I made while I was snowed
in my house for two days last month. Phat
Phunquee Beatz.
Ob.Moby: the ferry corsten mix of "Why Does My
Heart Feel So Bad" is also on that cd. so far,
it's nine tracks that move at the smoothest 136
BPM you've ever heard. And since there's 15
minutes left of the disc, I plan to add a few
more songs. Oh, How I love recordable cds.

ok, well Play is now number 71 on the Billboards! and
its number 15 in the UK! and there was a feature about
Moby in Billboard recently, they say V2 will work the
album til NEXT Xmas.... yay!
and also Digital Empire 3 is cummin out, and the Rae &
Christian mix of bodyrock is on it! first trak first
disc!
also, my brother said that when they played the most
played videos on MTV ever (the millionth video played
was the first video played, "Video Killed The Radio
Star"!!!), Moby said something about one of the
videos, possibly the aforememntioned first/mil'th
video.
also, i saw Christina Aguilera saying something about
Moby on MTV, about the Next Big Thing sdtrk. she said
it was nice that some "non-pop artists, like Moby"
were on it (heh, I wonder what she thinks of Manu
Chao? Im the king of bongo baby I'm the king of bongo
bong!) and that Madonna ruled etc.
also, in chicago some newspaper called UR Weekly or
something said that according to the readers poll,
Play had the best album cover of 1999! and i forgot
what the #2 was but Roots was #3 (eww, that cover was
disturbing, great album tho)
also, in some newspaper in Phoenix, they reviewed the
Next Big Thing cd (what trak is by Moby on that?) so
obviously they mentioned Moby, but they also said
about with Madonna's "American Pie" remake (which i
thought SUCKED, Weird Al's version was way better ;)
she is helping pioneer a new genre called "noveau
electronica", which blends electronic textures with
lounge muzik. wha?!? and ten they say she did not
invent this, that honor belongs to Everything but The
Girl's "Walking wounded" album, and since then Mono,
Dido, Faithless, Olive, and Beth Orton have imitated
it. what the hell?!?!?!? first of all, none of those
groups have anything to do with each other (except
Dido and Faithless ;) and they are not biting off each
others style, and anyway how can you mentione anything
about electronic and lounge hybrids without mentioning
Pizzicato 5, Stereolab, and Combustible Edison??!?
stay calm Paul, its just a damn know-nothing muzik
critic.....
anyway,
also i got the AMP playlist. it was a good show, heres
what they played:
Kid Koala: Fender Bender (nice video)
Handsome Boy Modeling School: Rock And Roll etc. (the
video is disapointing, but the song rox)
William Orbit: Barber's Adagio For Strings
Chemical Bros: Out of Control
MR. OIZO: FLAT BEAT (ROCK!!! Flat eric rules!!!! i
listened to the cd at Virgin Megastore and it KICKS
ASS!!! the only reason i didnt get it was cuz its 17$,
but i'm still kicking myself for passing it up. it
totally rocks the house, get a copy ASAP!)
Groove Armada: I See You Baby (Fatboy Slim RMX) (the
video was kinda nice, if a bit masturbatory, but they
censored out the song!! they transformed the words
"shakin that ass" to "shakin that thang"! what the
hell?!?!?)
Wiseguys: Ooh La La
Waldeck: Defenceless (sounds EXACTLY like earlier
Massive Attack, especially "Protection" (notice the
title))
Lamb: B Line
Sash! f/ Tina cousins: Mysterious times
Moby: Natural blues (saving the best for last eh?)
interstitional: FLAT BEAT and Basement Jaxx
ROCK!
ok bye!
