I went to all efforts to make sure that the mp3 tags are accurate and credit
another artist if it is a remix of one of Moby's songs. My exclusive source
info was the moby discography and song index available at http://moby.org
Also, on the FTP site in the "text" directory, I have saved the two files as
text that you can d/l there as well. In both the Discography and Song Index
complete credits are given, if no other artist is credited you can assume
moby did it.

According to the Discography the remixer IS moby himself(as no one else is
credited)

Anyone remember when Moby taped this show, way back in the 20th Century? It's

Hey, us plebs in the UK are not doing too bad in supporting sales for Moby,
he's currently at no 7 this week in the album chart and had gone gold
(200,000 sales!) a couple of weeks ago.

heh they are awesome hardknox sound a lot like lords of acid..it be cooler
if they actually had a live band instead of just a dj though..heh the 2
dancing chicks didn't really strip, just felt each other up and danced and
stuff and then the singer is pretty hot, she kind of yells distorted vocals
and stuff, a good live band.
you can d/l a track I think of them on mp3.com

Moby Spins For Sci Fi Channel, Lands Licensing Deal
Last week, Moby was hobnobbing with such stars as
Jewel and Elton John at several pre-Grammy
festivities, but next month he'll be singing the
praises of a different kind of star.
Moby has become the latest performer to be tapped for
the Sci Fi Channel's "I am Sci Fi" campaign, and is
slated to begin appearing in commercials hawking the
cable channel in March.
The new Sci Fi Channel spots are based on the Devils
Tower scene from Steven Spielberg's 1977 classic,
"Close Encounters Of The Third Kind." In the movie,
aliens made contact with humans amassed atop the
Wyoming national monument via series of electronic
tones and sound pulses.
In Moby's version, he rocks out with a call and
response that Moby generates on a mixing board -- with
his sonic grooves causing the space ship to spin out
like a giant turntable, scratching out its alien
answer.
Others musicians and celebrities who have participated
in the "I am Sci Fi" advertisements include Busta
Rhymes, Everclear, NBA's Kevin Garnett, pro tennis
siblings Serena and Venus Williams, and "Tomb Raider"
video game character Lara Croft (see "Busta Rhymes,
Everclear Going Sci Fi").
In other business-related Moby news, all 18 of the
tracks from his recent album, "Play," have been
licensed for use in film, TV, and radio commercials,
according to Moby's music publisher, Warner-Chappell.
"Variety" reports that over 400 licensees have
received approval to use snippets of the album's
tracks, which should still be playing on spots by the
time Moby finishes off his extended world tour in
support of "Play" in December.

Hello all,
I'm brand spanking new to this list (although I'm on a couple different
ones for other bands), and thought I'd just say hello!
I've recently purchased Play (my first, but certainly not last Moby cd),
and must say that I've quickly fallen in love with the music.
I'm a 22 year old musician in Seattle, WA. For those not familiar, that's
me in the northwest corner of the US. Previously I haven't had much of a
taste for the techno/electronica/spin scene, but am getting turned onto it
much more nowadays.
If anyone could send me a site or some info on Moby, his history, what live
shows are like, anything, it'd be very much appreciated.
Thanks all, have a great day!
Hasta

Well, the thing is, most people don't listen to that kind of music, but no
matter who listens to Moby, they always seem to like it. You don't hear
about techno, unless you ACTIVEly search for it. That stuff just isnt on
radio here (or tv).

As I mailed earlier, I saw them here in Glasgow too. They were
surprisingly good for support, being an industrial dance band. They were
made up of a male and female duo. The girl swapped between a mixing desk
and vocals while the male stayed on decks and keyboards. Again, the two
strippers were quite funny, and certainly added a visual dimention to the
show, but the music was good, and certainly worth a listen. (There were
free tapes if you bought a Hardknox T-shirt.)
Moby was on excellent form, telling lots of jokes and 'confessions' and
going on about his love for Ali G (UK character comedian). He even played
a Bruce Springsteen song, but I'm not sure which one, as well as
performing a rather manic guitar solo and 'jazz sample' [sic] version of
Feel So Real.
