dunno if this was mentioned yet, but there is a bit of moby in the new
mixmag (with the pink "drugs" cover).
it's about "play" and the vid for "natural blues."
you don't need to go out on a special trip for it, but it's worth a look
if you see it.

he has, sort of. "Unloved Symphony" from the "Move" EP
(i put that on the last tape i gave u), altho thats
just sort of a tune with lots of loud breakbeats,
and "Dark" from one of the "Revolver" singles I think,
is kind of a dark, quiet dnb tune.
And "Feeling So Real" is a _little_ bit junglish.
But he's said he doesn't really get much into jungle,
like it's nice to hear it in a club, but it's not much
fun to do besides that, or something.
he'd probly make some nice jungle trax, they'd probly
sound like "FSR" which would be great. but it doesnt
really matter. maybe he could collaborate with Goldie
or ssomething... that would be great!

"I believe that qualifies as 'ill', at least from a
technical standpoint!"Bender
"Will you guys pipe down?!? I'm trying to look cool!"
Fry, looking anything but cool....
"These guys rock harder than ever!"Fry
"Oh...my.....god......It's a mirage.......tellin

Peace we out!" nevermind you just had to see it ;)
and one more, "Hey Bender gonna make some noise with

whatcha whatcha whatcha get on Level 5ive!"
okay bye!

Subject: (mobility) good and bad news
I'll start with the good news:
Natural Blues is this weeks "Megahit" on the Dutch national pop radio
channel called "3FM" This means NB gets played almost every hour!
A bit too early IMO, because the single won't be out until March the 6th.
and by then everybody's probably forgotten the song...
AND NOW SOME TERRIBLE NEWS!
When they announced NB would be next weeks megahit, they also
said Moby collapsed during his tour, they didn't say where and how,
but it was bad enough to prevent him from coming to the studio for an
interview... 3FM is always very accurate with pop info, so I don't think
this is a rumour. Kind of grim, I talk about whether it is still healthy to
tour and give interviews for such a long time (in my email: What the #$%@ is
happening!) and a few days afterwards Moby collapses...
I've got this growing "I told you so" feeling creeping inside of me, but I
think
it will be best if I don't say it out loud...

Yeah, I could help with making graphics if anyone know about the other
stuff and would like to colaborate with me on it? I don't know much
about Ext. UI or JavaS but I do know a little CSS but not a lot. But I
do make some pretty nifty graphics so I can help if someone wants to
give me some ideas about size and so on. If there are any takers, email

That's awesome. That lineup sounds great... I love Acquaviva, the last
time i saw him here in Seattle was so much fun, i was in a hypnotized
dancing state during his set, literally couldn't stop moving.
Christopher is great too... he plays a residency here in Seattle every
month. Unfortunately it is at a dingy little all ages club and i really
hate being around etarded 12 year olds. :P So i haven't had a chance to
check him out at that venue.
I hope you get a 3 hour set with Richie. He was just here this past
thursday (amazing amazing show!) and we didn't get the promised 3 hour
set. It was maybe 2 - 2 hr and 15 min. Oh well... i had a blast and i
took a bunch of pictures. Check them out on my site (the link's below.
in the 'club pictures' section.)

Nice pictures. Unfortunately, both my possible
rides down to Live at the Decks 3 cancelled on
me, so now I'm stuck without ANYTHING to do that
weekend. I might see the "Queen of Coke" in
Mikwaukee the next weekend, and now I'm looking
at Respect is Burning on the 18th of March, or a
rave called Silverhead in Madison that same day.
Don't know quite yet, though Respect's theme this
year is A Night at the Playboy Mansion. :)
Oh well, I still have Hawtin live at Little
Further on my machine... :) It would have been a
great time. :(

As I skipped some of the 80 or so new messages on the
list (I didn't check my mail for a few days), I'm not
sure what kind of responses you got to this message,
but I have a similar question.
Some of you gave me recommendations of good
techno/electronica groups recently and you have my
thanks. Now I'm trying to figure out what other Moby
albums would be worth my time. I'm looking for the
techno/dance feel of several tracks from "Everything
is Wrong". It looks like the closest albums to it are
the "Move" EP released shortly before "Everything...",
the DJ remix of "Everything is Wrong" and "Early
Underground". Any other suggestions? Any comments on
the 3 I listed?
I'm especially curious about the DJ remix of
"Everything is Wrong". I can't find any samples
online from this album. It looks like it would be a
good pair of CDs, but I'm wondering if it's worth the
$20-$25 it will cost to get it. Anyone care to give
their review of the album?

Don't know how many people get this magazine.
Its sometimes in my local college paper, so maybe thats where u'd get it.
Anyways they had a section, "Vote For The Top Make-Out CD Of 1999"
and guess who's album is on the list?!
In fact the cd cover they decided to show was Moby's!
Here's what it said (with a pic of PLAY)
Which CD of the past year was the most likely to get you into a lip-lock?
Our online voters picked Mary J. Blige's Mary as the steamiest CD of 1999.
Vote for your fave at www.colleges.com
Beck - Midnite Vultures
Chemical Brothers - Surrender
Fiona Apple - When the Pawn...
Mary J. Blige - Mary
Moby - Play
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
I don't know who picks these things but damn I love The Fragile to death,
but I don't know if its something you want to make out too :)
Even with Play, oh well. anyways I guess we should vote huh? just so he'd
get some more recognition!
It's so wierd how no one knew about Moby less than a year ago, and now he's
everywhere!
If I hear him on the radio then pigs will have finally flown!
peace!
