Moby will not be performing, and his two nominations will NOT be televised.
Sorry to dissapoint all of you

how to use eBay:
Find something you want.
Decide what it's worth to you -- i.e., the largest amount you'd pay for it.
Bid that amount.
Don't bid a cent more, and be at peace about it. It's only stuff.
PS -- don't snipe on auctions. I did it once and I'll never do it again.

Mind you Mike...I was not implying that Moby had "sold out," merely
inquiring as to why he would advertise for the likes of Calvin Klein, who in
his ads has depicted the closest thing to child pornography that is
allowable, and even then, has raised tremendous controversy over the subject
matter of his advertisements. Surely you can see my thought process here.
By the way...I do agree with you that sell out is overused in society, but I
do think that it is a valid term when used in the correct context. My belief
is that selling out is when you compromise your own goals and messages to
make money, gain power, etc. NOW READ THIS EVERYONE...I never stated that
Moby had done that, apparently a lot of you read the first two lines of my
email and got a full head of steam from that. I can tell this because there
was another question tagged along with my first email and not one of you has
even commented on it.

Thanks for that Elissa...its appreciated to have some rational people
around. Mr. Giles, albeit a clever smartass, just doesnt seem to have his
head screwed on straight. Who knows? Apparently musicians make less money
than people who work 40+ hrs a week blue collar jobs to support their
families, if indeed there are any other people out there who have children
besides Moby. Thats just the feelin Mr. Giles sent out with his little essay
about the strapped for cash life of a musician on the ins. And by the way,
does Moby even have children? And if so, is he married? Just tossin that
out there.

Ren, we've discussed collaborations on mobility a few times before. I like
Sumner, but I just can't hear it mentally... maybe that's a good thing. I'd
like to hear Moby make a pop song with Joe Strummer, who he lost his
percussionist to. I thought Pablo was just touring with Joe, but I bought
the album last night (Rock Art & The X-Ray Style) and sure enoguh, Pablo was
in the studio, too, and is credited with drums & percussion.
I was wondering about the Clash cover Moby did of "Straight To Hell." It
doesn't say 'with Heather Nova", it says featuring. And the liners show that
Moby recorded it at such n such studio on such n such day. I think her
vocals were added later to Moby's instrumental piece, as opposed to them
working together on it. Anybody know? Either way, it fits. Now that I've
heard the Clash's studio version I like the cover a lot more. However,
neither of the two measure up to the live version on the Clash's recent live
release.
Take it easy,
Steve

cK is an interesting choice.. I'd peg Bennetton on Moby. Though their most
recent ad campaign is just plain WEIRD and somewhat disturbing, but I guess
that was the point.. somehow.. I don't know. I just don't want to piss anyone
off. :-)
