usualy this very in tune odd feeling. closest thing is ekeys but thats
nothing like it. it depends on what your working on. fo rme whenever i do
anyhting noisy or strightforward its a more mischevious feeling. anything
more subtile and its kind of hyponotiseing or etheral. that prolly dosnt
help much but since ive been making music my math has been better. maybe
dealing with all the time sigs and such. i dunno. playing live i can see the
maths coming in more.

Subject: (mobility) suggested music
Good day, all. I'm new to the list and admittedly a
techno/electronica neophyte. I got into Moby when I
heard the fast paced sounds on "Everything is Wrong",
though I quickly learned that his albums cover a wide
variety of styles. Anyway, at the moment I'm looking
for some good hyperactive techno/electronica sounds,
some fairly recent sounding stuff preferably (not the
bloops and beeps in some of the '80s music). What
other Moby albums are there that fit this style? How
about other groups? I noticed The Chemical Brothers,
Crystal Method, and Prodigy getting quite a bit of
mention along with Moby. Recommendations anyone?
Post to the list or directly to me, either is fine.
Thanks!

Hyperactive party music that will keep you going ~ Basement Jaxxs.
Mellow Moby-esque beautiful music w/ some killer beats ~ BT
Electronica on heavy guitars ~ Vitro.
hope that helps.

Saw The Beach tonight and I would say that Porcelain fit quite nicely.
They let it 'run on' for a good amount of time without much talking
over it (unlike most other songs which they seem to play primarily for
background music).

Well here's the thing -- the fact that she's wasted affects her ability to
mix. They kinda go hand in hand. She played a couple parties up here and
she was terribly unprofessional. Showing up late, demanding alcohol be
provided to her all night, being visibly drunk and swaying while
*attempting* to mix. Just awful.
Although i do admit, when she's *sober*, she can spin some great sets.

Richie's at), I will be going to see him in

Subject: (mobility) Off Topic Question
i apologize for the off-topic question but i'm in a dilemma and am wondering
if anyone here might be able to help me out. while out of town a little
while back, i went on one of my usual album buying binges that i go on out
of town. anyway, i purchased a copy of Gatecrasher Disco-Tech. upon
listening to it at home, i realized that the second disc skips pretty badly
at one point, however there are no scratches or blemishes on the disc,
leading me to believe it's some sort of pressing error. anyway, i'd like to
get a new copy, but my problem is this. there isn't a single store here in
town that carries imports so i can't return it anywhere here, and i e-mailed
the company that released the album (INCredible) and have yet to receive any
response. so i'm wondering if anyway has any suggestions as to a means
where i could somehow exchange the defective album for a different copy or
at least get my money back. i hate to have to order another copy of it but
at this point that looks like it's my only option. thanks for any help.

You need updated drivers for your CD-Rom, then.
Some just don't recognize those things if there
are CD Audio tracks on it...

heard "Natural Blues" about 4our times (excluding when
i listened to it from "Play" or the Rolling Stone cd).
can you believe that!?!? thats crazy. not even
"Bodyrock" or "James Bond" were that much played by
commercial radio/video. I've seen it on The Box twice
in the last 2wo days! wow! It's video #133 here, if u
want to request it, go to www.thebox.com i guess. It's
kinda nice whoever requests that isnt just supporting

Hey folks.... found this on the www.allstarmag.com gossip page. I don't
think its been posted yet.
"You didn't hear it from us, but a source close to the Rock the Vote Patrick

Moby at the Feb. 22 award ceremony (allstar, Feb. 9) at the Los Angeles

SOMEONE HAS TO RECORD THIS.
It could be incredible cool or extremely humorous. Either way, I want to

I saw moby last night at Dublin and he just blew me away
it was even better than the scala gig in London during September

porc'ln
bond
go

everlovin'
why duz
perfect
ah-ah

natural
bodyrock
honey
feel-reel
1k
also he played when its cold I like to die acoustically
and my weakness before he came on stage.
and while showcasing the talents of his "best trick dj in the world" they
made up a song. and when moby was introducing the band members he forgot
about the bassist the crowd reminded him and she performed an impromptu song
(I forget which) which the band accompanied her on with moby on tambourine.
moby also performed a guitar solo just before bodyrock and explained why you
cant play the guitar with a straight face but you have to contort it in time
to the music which was very funny
and just before feel-reel when he left stage for the encores the entire
crowd shouted moby moby moby when he came back he said he thought we sere
calling yoda yoda yoda. he also took of his shirt at this stage and bared
his ass to his adoring public but he quickly walked behind a keyboard and
pulled up his trousers before dismissing the band and performing 1k while
the audience shouted genius.
the show was full of energy the supporting band were very good "meeker" and
it was worth the 3 hour drive to get there
also he had a portable video camera which he used to film some of the
activity the band got up to and the audience (I was centre front in a white
oldstyle logo moby t-shirt)
