If you're still looking, a friend of mine found a copy at the Tower in Sherman
Oaks. He said that apparently they're being sent out in batches, because there
were lots of Mobys there.

I have a question about the dr_killpatient folder.
Are these songs all Moby?
The Bottom of the Pool, String Thing, Why You Hurt Me So,
Romulus, Sunday Was A Fine Day, In The Clouds, Firescape,
Helpless.
I've never seen these tracks in a discography.

yes, moby. "bottom of the pool" was a precurser to "underwater", "string
thing" seemed to lead into "angels sing" which developed into "when it's
cold i'd like to die", "sunday was a fine day" evolved into "everytime you
touch me", etc.
the moby songlist file covers some of this, and there's brief summeries on
mobilicious ( http://www.djmagic.com/moby/ ) for most of them.
> More importantly about the FTP site...

> Really, though. What is it?
according to my primary linguistics operative, shaumgummi is a kind of
german marshmallow candy.
first verse translates something like this:
"who eats schaumgummi?
i love schaumgummi.
i have schaumgummi!
i like marshmallow, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh."
(schaumgummi seemingly can also translate to "foam rubber", but the
context speaks against it)
great song, supposedly moby did it with paul yates (also in the pork guys,
did one of the versions of the "hymn" video, etc. etc. etc.).
if anyone has any live/rare/demo moby mp3's and can't upload to the main
ftp (there's some definite problems with uploads being accepted), contact
me for alternate upload location.
keep moving,

From the moby.org discography:
Schaumgummi [unreleased]
An unreleased track.

The Bottom of the Pool, String Thing, Why You Hurt Me So,

Look in the Moby.org discography; They are unreleased tracks, so I don't
know how the individuals who uploaded them would have gotten their hands on
them. Except for String Thing, that's not listed, why?

Brad Caviness and myself talked to moby at a concert in dallas last summer.
Brad asked him about Schaumgummi and Moby said that a video had been shot
for it, and that they were working with "people" to try and get it on the
soundtrack of the upcoming SPROCKETS movie based on the mike meyers Saturday
Night Live character.

I'm sure most of you have already know about this, but
I just thought i would pass it along anyways. Orbit
has a new single out which is his reworking of
Barber's "Adagio", from the forthcoming album "Pieces
in a Modern Style". Well, there is also a Ferry
Corsten remix on the single which is worth a listen,
but I'm posting this because of the other track on
this single, "In a Landscape." It is a very short
track, maybe 3 minutes, but for any of you who really
enjoyed End of Everything (my favorite Moby/Voodoo
Child release), then you should check it out.

Yes it is the same Rollo. He and Sister Bliss also did a remix of "Honey".
They are both part of the group Faithless as well although both have been
remixing/producing/Dj'ing, etc for years before they formed Faithless.
Their remix of "Honey" sounds an awful lot musically like the Faithless
track "God Is A DJ".

hey moby worms:
i got a strange case of "M Four stuck in my head" for
sum reaason ;) see, for some strange reason i had an
urge to hear "Time Signature" just because i havent
heard it in a while (and do NOT knock it, it is a
great song! or maybe piece rather!) so i did and it
rocked hard.... then since EU was in there well i just
had to hear "Barracuda" because I was feeling mighty
alright, yeaaaahhhhh!!!! and i luv how he works in
"Greensleeves" at the end ;) that is pure genius!!
and then well i had to hear "Mobility" because that is
in my opinion one of the greatest songs ever created,
in it's original form (hee hee) and i'm thinking about
maybe making it my theme song for my radio show. that
would be a good closing theme huh? i was previously
thinking about using "Little Fluffy Clouds" (for
closing theme)but i kinda got tired of that song, as
well as "Radio Babylon" for my opening theme, not that
these 2wo songs dont totally kick ass, its just that
hearing those songs that often would make me dead sick
of em. however, i would not ever get sick of
"Mobility", i know that's for sure. I might get sick
of "Barracuda" as..... ummmm.... wait...
anyway, back on track, so then i just happened to
chance upon hearing "M-Four", just because i forgot
what it sounded like.... actually, i didnt even really
listen to it, just kinda skimmed thru it, to the end,
i probly only heard it for like a minute or two, but
DAMN it was stuck in my head all day.... kind of
annoying.... its not really that bad but like some of
the stuff on "Ambient" its not really enough, you
know? its kinda boring... but whatever, theres worse
songs to get stuck in my head!
ok bye!

If that's the same thing as Rock The Vote, it's true.
Check this out:
From iMusic
Techno-vegan Moby and hot R&B newcomer Macy Gray are scheduled to perform at
Rock the Vote's annual Patrick Lippert Awards at the
House of Blues in Los Angeles on Feb. 22. The MTV-sponsored event marks the
10th anniversary of Rock the Vote, which encourages
young people to register to vote through mostly music-related events.
Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) president Hilary Rosen will
be presented the Founder's Award at the ceremony for her ongoing involvement
with Rock the Vote, which is credited with registering more than 850,000
young people during the last two national elections.
