What is Bikini Magazine? Is it about bikini's? Did he model? Ooh! But
seriously, what kind of magazine is that? I might have to look for it at

Yeah the first time I saw him. I guess you could say it was a rave, it was
in a warehouse. He was his energetic self. He put on a wonderful show. I
wouldn't say it was much different from a club show. But always worth
seeing.

Subject: Re: (mobility) My favorite Moby CDs
I'm going to name my favourite Moby songs/remixes (not the CDs)
hope you don't mind...
In chronological order:
Moby - Mobility
100% pure genuine Moby
- -Moby - Go (Night Time Mix)
Virtually the same as the Soundtrack Mix but a bit longer, a very rare
mix (except for Go "the collected mixes" CD) Listen to this one while
sitting in a park with your girl/boy friend on a warm summer night...
- - Barracuda - Party Time
IMO the ultimate party song of the early '90s!
- - Moby - Heaven
The song title says it all!
- - Moby - Move (you make me feel so good)
I'm talking about the full 6:24 version here.
It has sooo much more power than the radio edit, it has
some additional vocal samples and it goes on forever!
Makes me wanna dance all night long, songs like these
make me so glad that I'm alive!!!!!
- - Moby - Move (Electro Mix)
I don't know..... this mix has always been special to me from
the first time I heard it on EIW mixed/remixed, but I have
absolutely no idea why.
- - Moby - Hymn (European Mix)
No, not the "European Edit" on the regular Hymn CD, but the
version on the 12" and the German remix CD. 7:02 minutes
of pure ecstasy!
- - Moby - First Cool Hive
Alone in my room I cry in silence...
- - Anthem (Cinematic Version)
Short (2:24), powerful and haunting.
- - Voodoo Child - Patient Love
Whenever I'm upset about something this song always
brings me down to earth again.
- - Moby - Now I Let It Go
This may sound weird, but this is my favourite song on AR.
- - Moby - Micronesia (b-side on the UK Honey single)
More night time music, I just love those haunting low strings.
- - Moby - Spirit (b-side on Run On single)
Heavenly chords, and I love the way the song speeds up at
the end.......soooo much energy!
- - Moby - Sunday (b-side on Run On Extended single)
divine pianos and vocal sample!
- - Moby - Run On (the Plastic Angel mixes)
I love the way that Plastic Angel provides a whole new view on
this track, they should do more remixes for Moby.
- - Moby - Everloving
simple & perfect

Steve and Bart - you guys are awesome. I figured I would have a bunch of
newbies hating me and I hate to sound like an elist whatever cause I
have been on this list longer them, but that is bullshit. IT doesn't
matter how long you have been on the list, wether it was my first week
or 3rd year. I still don't give a shit about drinking Soy Milk on the
Sabbath in your car by yourself on the way to the dog pound to get an
animal to watch over the cows at home. OR whatever. Especially don't
like to hear the people who say it is related to Moby cause if that is
what you want to do I don't think we could find anything that isn't 6
degree of seperation away...
Hmmm, I love football but I want to talk about the Dolphins / Titans
game on Sunday (the Dolphins WILL win). So, we've got Moby and he played
in Florida the other week and this game is in florida! Wow, only 2
degrees. Moby went to UCONN (for a bit) and he was in the same class as
one of the players on the Dolphins. Wow! Moby lives in New York, the
Jets play in New York, The Dolphins play the Jets at Christmas, I will
be at that game at Christmas in Miami, wow, lets talk about me!
Seriously, this problem will never go away cause new people do come all
the time and don't know what was discussed before, and even ifthey do
they shouldn't care cause they weren't here then. But anyway, one thing
I have noticed is that the people who come in and respond 1 or 2 lines
to every post (instead of being corteous enough to combine the posts)
don't really last that long. Anyway, I gotta go. I don't love you guys
anymore, but you're still great. And besides for Steve and Bart is there
anyone else with more stuff than me? Later.

Subject: (mobility) *NMR* From another know-it-all newby
I agree that sometimes sarcasm and insults to people's intelligence won't do
any good (and things can quickly become hostile, too). And while I do enjoy
some of the crazy even imaginative discussions, I thought I was on this list
mostly to learn about Mr. Moby, his tour dates and common or rare albums and
projects.
Yes, each person's opinion has value, but so does each person's limited
amount of time (or else use that argument on Moby next time he doesn't spend
a whole day listening to you).
I am only a newby (3 months) and I am already tired reading the same 2 lines
on the question of who's going to the Roxy. Seriously think to reply
privately.
Also I am so tired of people feeling the serious need to answer to everything
with a giggle or the equivalent of "I thought that was cool, too". I mean
I'm glad that you agree and all, but I sometimes, like others, end up with a
whole mailbox full of things and it gets so frustrating that I erase great
masses of it at once. I know I am missing out on great links and photos and
news and concert reviews because I know that too much of it is also
unnecessary stuff (I won't post much anymore for this reason - if I want to
go off on something, I'll email a friend).
And you, with any other newbies, will see in a few more months how tiring it
is to go through the whole vegan thing over and over again (among other
topics). Maybe I am wasting your time right now because this is
like...like...like trying to stop the escalator by pressing against the side
with your butt (yes, I need sleep!) and none of this will end because too
many feel they have to see their words up on a screen and know that hundreds
of others are forced to scan through them, too.
But if you want to read on the past discussions and not be so ignorant about
this, there is such a thing as the mobility archives (moby.org). Notice how
once upon a time there were fewer than 10 emails a day, and so many of them
had good tidbits! Wow!
But yes, there are many diverse and intelligent people on this list and once
in a while I will jiggle with joy at the things I read,

That was a cool pic, cept Moby kinda looked a little shocked. Those girls

In other news, the latest issue of URB has 3 pics of Moby playing and a

not to resurrect an argument that seems to be dead already, but i have
some wood
to add to the fire ;) In the alt.rave thread that someone mentioned
before,
moby said "stop smoking" at the end of one of his posts. this and all
the
things he's said about how smoking is bad make me think that he doesn't
smoke.
just because someone is his own person doesn't mean that he has to smoke
just to
prove he doesn't fit into any stereotype. it doesn't seem like an
image thing
with him, but something he truly believes in. i would be extremely
disappointed
if anyone i know or look up to had a cigarette "occasionally," just for
fun,
when it seems that they are so adamantly opposed to them the rest of the
time.
maybe he would feel the same way about himself? just something to think
about,
i reckon.

drugs are bad? why? why are they different? aspirin is a drug. why
isn't
aspirin bad? it's all about perception, and what you've been led to
believe. Why
is it okay for people to die in car wrecks and of alcohol poisoning from
alcohol,
but it's not okay for someone to OD on heroin? Do you think it's
because there's
no heroin lobby? What's the big difference? "Drugs are bad" is such an
automatic
response; people don't even question it. Of course drugs are bad. Why?
Because
they are!
