Also on the whole MTV/Beck thing I find it kinda ironic because I recently
downloaded a Beck mp3 of MTV Makes Me Want to Smoke Crack, which is by far
the most hilarious song ever. I would never call Beck a sellout, but wierd
how's he's now doing MTV appearances. But I digress so I will stop.

So, here I am, just looking through the used techno section at a local
book/music store, when what should I find?!?!?!?! But the "Brainstorm" 12"
for $1.....ONE DOLLAR?!?!?!?!?!So I decided to check the damage.....barely a
scratch on it. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I grabbed 5 quarters from my pocket
(tax is included) and ran for the register. If only everybody could find
great things like this eveyday, life would be much better...

confirmed for my 2 voodoo child requests (Dog Heaven & Higher) and on order

I got the same mp3 from Audiofind. I love that song. But to tell you the
truth Beck's kind of like Dylan with more pop and less socialrelevance.

That reminds me of how I found MINDSTORM-Rock The House/Help Me To Believe
German CD single. I was just going through some used CD's and stumbled
across it. It said "Bargain $3.99". I said, "Mine!!!".

You lucky bastard! :) I had to spend more than $20 for this one!
I wish there was a used vinyl store around where I live... there only
is a 2nd hand CD store with only very common, scratched CDs...
>If only everybody could find

Well, that is not true! If every Moby release was very common
there wouldn't be anything fun about collecting, and you wouldn't
be so happy right now, right?

It was probably paper. My boyfriend bought me a copy last night because I'm
sick. :-) How sweet! Yeah, I haven't read it yet but the cover photo is hot!!!
I figured it was graphically manipulated and it was but dear MOBY still looks all
the hottie! The rest of the pics are wonderful too. They say that he was
featured in the mag in '93 (I think) talking about techno.

It makes me think of the earlier '90s when Ten came out (pearl jam) and the
chick from Family Matters (of all shows) was like "I just can't get Ten out of
my cd player!" and the show Phenom had an entire episode about trying to get to
the Pearl Jam concert! It was like that for like a year or two. I kinda wish
it would pass. I mean, I wouldn't want to begrudge the ol Mob-ster his
publicity but it freaks me out that all these trendy shows w/ these kids who
either think they're important pop stars only to have no one care five minutes
later or the kids who jump on every band wagon. It feels weird to hear and see
something so special to us being paraded around like a pair of Tommy Jeans or
some kind of celebrity hair 'do and then it becomes old news. It's sad,
something so personal and meaningful being discarded along w/ last falls
fashions.
Ok, but I'm not bitter and it's cool and all. *sigh* Please don't kill me. :-)

I personally would be down for that. I mean, if gender could be something that
you define on your own which I think is perfectly fair. To be able to define
male/female yourself. Think of all the gender dysphoric persons, being able to
live comfortably in the gender they feel that they are! I'm all in a tizzy
now! How wonderful it would be to change the way the world views you in terms
of gender and no longer judge you on what you wear in your pants and what that
makes you but to have to judge you on the content of your mind! Ahhh! I would
so buy a penis. I could live out my dreams of being a drag queen! I odn't want
to be a drag King, oh no. :-)
So, yes, I agree w/ MOBY! Bring on the prostetic "scratch and sniff pubic
parts"! And while your at it, make prostetic foreheads for all! Tee hee hee!

Prostetic foreheads? Do we want to be those weird klingon people from Star
Trek Deep Space Nine or something? I think we should develop a soul implant
for all of those who don't have one or have lost theirs. But then again

Deepsky is remixing Moby? That's so sweet! I saw Deepsky earlier this
year at a party here in Seattle and they were kick ass...so energetic.
They were getting so into one of the guys knocked over part of his drum
kit and it hit me on the arm! I've still got a very faint scar. :D
Weird weird. Anyway they will be playing another party here in Seattle
this month...I'll probably go to it...but steer clear of the drum kits
this time! :) Maybe they'll play a bit of what they're working on?!
That would be wicked.

You know, has anyone else realized how smart some of the people on this
list are. Not only do they know what they themselves think, but also
whatever EVERYONE else thinks, or even in a couple of cases, what
everyTHING else thinks. We have people saying that obviously there are
more smart girls than smart guys, someone speaking for every vegan in
the world, every smoker in the world, every Christian in the world, and
every Moby fan in the world. We have people talking about how dogs think
and how cows feel. We have people critisizing Moby for living his life.
We have, well that is enough. I didn't realize until recently what an
elite bunch we have here. And people wonder why the old timers on this
list are dropping like flies. It is nice to have all this new young
spirit around here, but seriously. We don't care about Moby's hands or
how you feel about them. Most people didn't give a shit about the
Christianity or Vegan or Selling out issues the first time and now we're
breaking the 100th. I don't want to say lets just talk about Moby's
music, but for real, calm down with the worthless posting. I have pretty
much given up on posting to this list but I cannot unsubscribe simply
cause I need my Moby info. You guys are great, but not THAT great, so
watch what you say before we talk about the same thing for the 101st
time or you make rediculous statements of huge groups - especially
animals. Thanks a lot. Later.

It took me two readings to get that but yeah. Being a girl, I do get the
impression that guys tend to be less thoughful, but I think a lot of the time
they're acting cuz it's not "cool" to be intellectual, which is why I love
Moby because he's so openly thoughtful. But you're fooling yourself if you
think a high percentage of girls are bookish. Duh, didn't you know? Guys
don't like smart girls (least that's what they tell me). Geez, get your

Nice friendly loving atmosphere you've created. Isn't the whole point of
this is to discuss things? I didn't know there was a set of rules and/or
guidelines to express myself. If you don't want to be subjected to it,
ignore the fucking topic (that's what the little subject lines are for)..
Keep that attitude up and all those new will drop like flies because of your
elitist attitude. Life is random, so why not expect in the postings here?
Lighten up, enjoy some of the humor, and contemplate some of the ideas. And
your right, there are some really intelligent people on this bored and I've
read some great ideas, and I've read some really funny ideas (the crowd of
vegans led by Moby will forever be implanted in my head with the vegan power
salute and will make me giggle). No posting is worthless. No thought is
worthless. And people do care about random things that Moby addresses like
Christianity, vegan, and the sincerity behind the music, which is there. And
being new, we wouldn't know that its 101st time its being discussed, so just
delete all messages in the already covered topics, because heaven forbid, you
might come across a new persepctive. Don't care? Don't read or post.
Enough bitching. And let those of us who want to discuss the man and ideas
behind the music to ponder and discuss in peace.
