Ok, it is slightly Moby related, I don't like the new GnR single, I wish
Moby had produced it, but then Play wouldn't have been made, and my
friends wouldn't be Moby fans suddenly, oh shit.

I believe that the show will be all ages. You might want to try lupo's web
site http://www.lupos.com . I'm trying to get the day off of work to go to
that show. It will be my first moby show. Anyway what type of merchandise
do they sell at the shows like cd's ....
Also I just finished reading my mail for the past two days and some of you
people need to relax a bit. I mean moby is an incredible musician but some
people here have him under the microscope. People on this list is flipping
out whether or not if he smokes, or animals at a pet store. Personally I
wouldn't buy a dog at a pet store. So let's not be too critical on what
people may do or believe.

I've been to it 4 times...
usually don't have barriers set up..you walk upstairs to a small ballroom
type place, has a balcony..and the security is really lax...all the shows
are usually sponsored by WLIR..the parking is a real bitch though, so if you
drive get their early..it is right off the LIE on the right by a hotel. I
really like the venue, cause it's a place for intimate shows.
Anyways, gotta go..

Hello, all. This is actually the first time I've
mailed Mobility since sending my intro post about a
year ago...
Anyway, I have two questions:
1) I purchased the WDMHFSB single with the video, but
I can't seem to locate the video on the disk. Whever
I put it in my computer, only the audio files seem to
register (all of which are very nice, IMHO). I've
gone through my media player program and still can't
locate the darn thing. Any suggestions?
2) I missed my chance at seeing Moby in the States,
and now Is ee he's got plans to do some shows in
Australia and Mew Zealand. Anybody hear if he is
coming to Japan? and if so, any ideas of when?
Thanks.

He's not teetotal anymore i guess. We've discussed this last year i guess, and
i got a bit sad about it, because i somehow can't match Moby with drinking.
And who know which of Moby's radicalisms will fall down next. Drugs ? Meat ?
Eggs ? or Cheese ?
everything dies.

wowee just in time for this whole Len controversy!
"is this the aisle for people who hate moby?"
"and have 10 items or less"
"13, 12, 11, 10:"
(from SPIN letters page)
CUTTIN' UP THE LATEST DON MCLEAN WAX LIKE IT AIN'T
NOBODY'S BUSINESS
This is concerning that Moby character. He's that
limey geek who dresses funny and does house music,
right? I was in a dance club during spring break and
the DJ played Van Morrison's classics "Brown Eyed
Girl". The whole place went nuts and everyone
continued to shake their collective groove thangs. All
we need is some moree DJ's with good taste who'll play
some classic rock. Hey, Moby, pack up your turntables
and synthesizers and head back to England.
Carl Showalter
Elmira, New York
Editor's note: Moby is from Connecticut.
HAA-HA!
my response:
Not only does he drop Van Morrison is his DJ sets
(really, ddoes he? has any1ne heard him do this?
cool!), but when i saw him at Toads (hands down best
show EVER) his band dropped a bit of "American Woman"
before launching into "Bodyrock" and he's been known
to play country versions of "Feeling So Real" and
acoustic versions of "Go" and his new cd mixes gospel
and blues tunes with hip-hop beats, scratching and
funk guitar. What's wrong with being eclectic? And
actually, you're dissing yourself because you even say
that the crowd is still having it. That's why I love
Moby fans, they're so damn open-minded.
ok, so i saw They Might Be Giants in concert recently.
ROCK!!!! except that the opening act SUCKED and got on
a full hour and a half late (even Moby's opener was
only half hour late! and at least we had Dave The Wave
spinning tunes...) and by the time TMBG took the stage
it was almost MIDNITE......BUT they sure damn rocked
the house. of course when "Ana Ng" came on we almost
got squished by the crowds going nuts (heh, my sister
actaully dropped some guy crowdsurfing! it was so
funny!) so we had to go to the back of the club where
we wouldnt get killed, but after that it was just
non-stop rock. well, actually they did stop twice. but
they did 2wo encores! one was to do "Particle Man" and
i love how they messed up the words too, the
encorporated "Let It Be": "person man hates particle
man, let it be... person man person man person man
person man, saying person man, person man, person man"
they did that in "Dr. Worm" too: "in my hour of
darkness, she is standing in my way, speaking words of
wisdom Dr. Worm" and in the 2nd encore they did
"Istanbul" with a teasing long guitar solo in front.
oh yeah, before "Shoehorn With Teeth" they did...THE
GLOCKENSPIEL!!!! they were like, Who's going to play
THE GLOCKENSPIEL!?!?!? and they got the drummer, and
in the song they only actually used it 3hreee times!
DING!
you just had to be there......
my god, what does this have to do with Moby?
hopefully TMBG are Moby fans, thats probly likely
right?
the show was great but it just pales in comparison to
Moby, but thats only cuz Moby is just the greatest
ever. but for what TMBG is, they rock too. altho i
wish they'd play more of their earlier stuff and use
wierder instruments like they did back then but
whattayagonnado?
oh yeah also in SPIN it has an ad for Hackers 3 and it
says "Why Can't It Stop" is previously unreleased.
uh........ and also it reviews the Bad Brains tribute
Moby's on (5 out of 10) and it says this about moby:
"I guess it's the thought that counts. Cave In's "I
Luv I Jah" recalls Modern English's "I Melt With You"
[shudder] and stretches the ragga standard an
additional six minutes. MOBY's rendition of the 1982
_ROIR Sessions_ classic "Sailin' On" deconstructs the
ringing fuzz of Dr. Know's electric guitar amid sleepy
piano runs, airy strings, measured drum-machine punch,
and warm blues chants. This ditty puts the Brains'
songwriting prowess in perspective: Their sound wasn't
just hard, it was _complicated._"
So i guess they liked it? anybody heard this? is this
cd even out yet? its called "Never Give In: A Tribute
To The Bad brains" on century Media.
why am i even online? i'm supposed to be sick! i'm not
at school! and tomorrow i got a funeral to go to so im
not at school either and last two days was "staff
developement"/election day..... when the hell am i
ever gonna go to school again? i think i'm losing my
perspicacity! gaaaaaaa!
