There's difference between caged depression and pity depression. The caged
depression is the type that makes me run crying out of pet stores. Imagine
spending your life in a little fiber glass cell, with all these people
inadvertanily taunting you because they could be freed by you. Just thinking
about it makes me want to cry. Free dogs on the other hand, no pity for
them. Say stop that, you're not getting my dinner. Bad puppy, stop lookng
at me like that.. No damn you dog. Fine take it all, just stop looking at me
with that face. That's different. =)

I may not have made myself clear, what I meant was that Moby would not single out individuals and point out their flaws. I don't have a problem with anyone's personal religious beliefs, and I don't consider myself one of the "christian right" (yes i have read the essays) but anyways come on this man doesn't need a billion people sitting around wondering about if he smokes or not. We all make mistakes and we shouldn't worry about anyone else's flaws until we have dealt with our own. Perhaps in this situation that may be obsessing over the fact that maybe Moby isn't perfect. I'm not trying to offend anyone in saying this so please don't take this personally. I am not directing this message to anyone in particular.

This is been such a frustrating day. No he's not perfect. And we're not
picking him apart. We're not saying he's a terrible person if he smokes,
just that it would upset us because he is a role model type for so many
people (regardless of what you think, and he should be because he's a great
human being) Also because it would ruin his lovely voice. It's not
judgemental at all. And I really need to unplug my computer before I go
insane.

what is up with u?! my god, just b/c i end my posts w/ "animal lib, vegan
power", does not in any way mean that i am forcing my beliefs on anyone!
it's not meant to sound threatening or an in-your-face kinda thing and it's
insulting that one would think it's meant to look down upon those who arent
vegan - it's just the fucking way i end my messages, plain and simple. i
never judge the way people choose to live their lifestyles, ever. we're all
on this mailing list b/c we luv moby's music and respect the guy. no one's
making this forum a "total vegan thing" so chill out.

Hey Elie!
Well all I know is that the nearest train, LIRR to get to the Vanderbilt is
in Hicksville. I don't live in LI so I can't give you anymore specific
details.
You can check this site or give them a call for directions.
i know this has nothing to do with cigarettes, but it is in the same realm. at the show in london last week, moby commented on someone smoking pot in the audience, and he said he isnt a pot smoker. so, we know he doesnt smoke pot.
i still think hes a sexy man:)

so there i am, buying a cd from amazon.com, and expecting a techno/ebm
crossover with the band apoptygma berzerk. so i order the cd, "7", and wait
till i get it in the mail. i'm not "goth" or whatever the kids call it
nowadays, not even into "evil" music, just a hardcore electronic music fan.
anyway, expecting to be disappointed (and thinking i bought a goth cd) when
i open it(it's got this picture of jesus on the cover, and the first track
has a church organ and "evil" singing)...i listen to a few tracks, and it's
great. anyway-that's not why i posted.
the reason i posted was because in the 6th or 7th song, a person rambling on
about jesus and making some sense sounds familiar. and sure enough, on the
cd jacket "thanks to all who helped contribute and credits to these artist:
laibach, david bowie, depeche mode, nirvana and MOBY". looks like i just
found another one of mr. hall's dabbles in experimentation, eh?
