Moreover, no "reductionism" to jusitify your
off-topic stuff. (i.e. Moby's human and I'm
human, so it *must* be relevant) I've been
respectful of the whole off-topic issue, and I'm

I concur. Didn't meet up with you, Andy. I just
kept screaming Mobility in the lobby afterwards,
and everyone looked at me like I was stupid. :)

Like stage diving, and bringing up two, count 'em
two, ladies up on stage. That was really neat!

Alone he was terrible in my honest opinion.
Granted, he was doing some great "turntable
trickery", but the selections and the danceablity
of it was nil. I could see the anxiety in
everyone while he was spinning.

And now, what I've added to my ridiculous
collection of Moby CDs. :)
Feeling So Real (2CD UK Set)
- - The Westbam remix is just great!
WDMHFSB? (2CD UK Set)
- - Contrary to most opinions, the ATB remix is
the best one on there. :) Also, Flying Foxes
is one great track. Princess, I could do
without.
Lopez - Why Can't it Stop?
- - Great old house/underground stuff. Nothing
special, but keeps you bouncin'. :) Does
anyone else notice a trace of WICILTD in The
Dirty Underground?
Lopez - Emptiness
- - Disappointing. I didn't even get Sim 1 with
mine. :) The music's all right.
Coming soon...
Into the Blue, CDMUTE179A
EYTM - 2CD UK Set
I looooooooooove E-bay!
Off-topic: I got Global Underground 2 & 3 used
for about $16 a piece. Worth every penny.

Does anyone on the list have an FTP site of
some of their own tracks. Preferably some of
the forthcoming Thanks 2 remixes.
I've contributed 5 remixes for the CD and
I'm working on getting them online sometime
in the near future. I'm very curious to hear
other peoples remixes other than my own.

Hi guys & girls, a little question:
If ANYBODY has or knows a CD (single or compilation)
that includes the Plastic Angel Mix of Run On, would you
please share the name of the CD and if possible some
label info and the cat# with us? I have strong suspicions
that there's a CD with this mix around.
This is also for you Mobility-digest people :)

No, I haven't. I'll give it a listen tonight and see what I notice. I've had
the CD for a while, which has "Everybody Can Do It", but I just recently got
the vinyl and my friends always want to hear it. Finally something we agree
on! (beleive it or not, my friend Tom did a neat mix of Paul Van Dyk's "For
An Angel '98" w/ "Why Can't It Stop." It did get kind of weird/off during
the WCIS piano breaks, though)
>>Lopez - Emptiness

As I recall, all of the Trophy singles have 3 songs on the CD and 2 on the
same title's 12", except for "Emptiness/Fucked Up"
and "Demons/Horses", which each have 2 tracks on both the CD and the 12". I
like "Emptiness" & "Fucked Up" because I think it's interesting when you
compare the two songs to each other. It's not something I play all that
frequently, though.

Paul, that might be Twisted Christmas in Chicago. Moby's playing there on
December 4th. I know Beck has done that show before (it's an anuual
engagement) He's probably going to be there this year, too. I'm probably
going to skip that show since I have a feeling that Moby will only be 30
minutes and the other bands would be far too painful (I won't name them) for
me to endure, barring Matthew Sweet, who I'd probably enjoy. Beck is selling
Sexxlaws as a white vinyl prerelease, and I ordered that. I heard the song
once and got a big kick out of it. -S

<< But on the whole sell out thing ~ you know Moby is going to start getting
labeled as a sell out because he's getting some notoriotity. But I think
Moby is a total non-sell out because he has not changed his music to become
popular. I know he constantly likes to try new things.. Sometimes it flies
and sometimes it doesn't, but I don't think he gives a shit whether or not
it's popular or not. That's just the type of artist he is and therefore can
not be labelled a sell-out. Take "Honey" for example. >>
That's exactly the point that I was trying to make. Achieving popularity is
one thing, but changing your style of music completely to make it a point of
becoming popular is another. That is one of the things that has attracted me
to Moby. He keeps doing whatever he wants to do. For him, the popularity
has merely come along with sticking to the type of music that he has always
made (aside from the exception of Animal Rights-being heavy like it was). I
feel confident that despite his increasing popularity, Moby will not sell
out. After all, if he had wanted to do that, he could have done it following
the popularity of the James Bond Theme.

Actually, done right, QuickTime is quite nice for video, assuming that the
production people have a clue. I've seen beautifully-encoded, small file
size .mov music videos and huge, barely-watchable mpegs.
And as for the mess with the registry, I think we know whose fault that
is...
