Are they on CD? I thought they were only on 12"... (please prove me wrong :)
Here's some info on that 12":

singles?
No promos, just normal singles.
They don't hold anything special (all mixes/versions are also on the
maxi-singles)
I'm so happy! when I picked up the WDMHFSB single yesterday I also got the
rare 2x12" promo of the OMD remixes from a guy I know at the record store.
He knew I was a Moby fan and he never listened to the 12"s, so he gave them
to me! I must say I'm not really impressed by the 3 Moby mixes, I can
understand
why they decided not to release them, just 3 repetitive house mixes, but
it's still
a nice record. (I love the Apollo 440 remix!)

WHY DOES MY HEART FEEL SO BAD? (18:19) [11 Oct 1999]
UK CD, Mute, CDMute230
NOTE: This single also includes the animated video for
the song "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?" in .mov
format, playable on both PC and Mac.
1 3:45 Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?
2 6:16 Flying Foxes
3 8:18 Princess
Review:
- ---------------------------------------------------
1) Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?
We know it, we love it!
2) Flying Foxes
Yep, the one with the "Deep Forest - Sweet lullaby" sample. Along with
Micronesia and Sunday my favourite b-side! Why isn't this an album track?
It starts off with a far away echoy breakbeat and a negro blues sample
which I can't quite understand... A sad synth melody sofly enters the scene
and soon all the instruments/beats/samples kick in. A piano twinkle
improvises over the main chords throughout the whole song. Every now
and then there's a break and all the instruments and beats fall away only
leaving the main synth chords. A good thing, because this keeps the song
vivid (not a boring endless looping thing..) ** Rating: 9.5 out of 10!!! **
3) Princess
At first I really didn't like this one, but I dunno... after like 5 listens
it's really
beginning to grow on me. It's a very repetitive track based on one central
synth loop. As the song proceeds, more instruments get added untill at the
end only the synth loop remains and slowly fades out. This track still has a
bit of a raw edged, unedited sort of demo-sound. nice song!
** Rating: 7 out of 10 **
4) The WDMHFSB Video
Is it just me, or didn't Mute have the slightest idea what they were doing?
It's a really GREAT clip which goes very well with the song, that's not it,
but
the format it is presented in on the CD! BLEHHH!!
I have nothing against MAC computers, but why the hell use a clip in .mov
format? (they are known for being crappy) But that on the side, that's not
the worst thing. Microsoft MediaPlayer (the latest upgrade) doesn't
recognise
the compression codec of this .mov file, so I'm forced to install Quicktime
which is also supplied on the CD. Did you know that the best way to fuck up
a Windows computers registry is to install Quicktime? Well, and excited I
was
about seeing the clip I totally forgot to backup my old registry settings
before
installing Quicktime... BIG MISTAKE. Oh, well enough about that, let's
pretend
you don't mind your registry being fucked up, you click on the .mov file,
mmm
70 Megabytes for a 3:45 minute song, should be in pretty good quality! NOT!
You'll get a tiny little screen with an incredibly crappy quality clip, how
can they
fill 70 megs with this??? For those who haven't got the slightest idea what
I'm
rambling about here: a 40 Mb Mpeg encoded clip for a 3:45 song gives you a
full-screen high-quality video!
Oh, and another thing: don't try to run the clip on a 4-speed CDrom (or
slower)
I had to copy the file to my harddisk in order to get it to run 'properly'.
(Mpeg encoded video's run perfectly on 4-speed CDroms...)
** Rating content of clip: 9 out of 10 **
** Rating presentation of clip: 2 out of 10 **
I'm done now...

that song is front 242's "welcome to paradise". i'm not sure whether or not
you can get a clean sample (not fromthe album version at least), but i might
be able to provide you with about...5 or 6 versions of the song live, you
might be able to sample that. if you want to check the album version, the
album is "front by front 1989". these are great and very nice guys. i'm
going to belgium in february to hang out with them. since i'm a huge fan of
theirs as well, i might be able to suggest some albums of theirs?
1. front by front
2. re:boot live 98
those are pretty much the bare essentials, although i've got almost
everything they put out (about 30 different cds, including comps and
singles).

Yes "Somebody", Martin Gore recorded that fully nude while playing the
piano. Martin writes all the songs and everything, but he has kind of a
really light high voice that fits with backing vocals. Though somebody has
really cheesy lyrics...I really like the song, I like cheesy love songs.
"Home" is a favorite also cause it has kind of that sweeping
chorus.Anyways...yes

I know you'll all hate me for all the posts tonight but Dave is great,
and I love him but Martin Gore. What's that song from Catching up w/
Depeche Mode? The love song w/ the heart beat? Er, I have to
check....brb...Somebody...man that song makes me cry. I must have cried
a river during that song live. Man, and the song Home which is recent
and that other song that remind me of Somebody...Er, brb...ok, I can't
find the cd but the song Blue Dress...man I wish I could find my
Violator. That song makes me shiver. I've had times where I listend to
Blue Dress like for an hour or more. I love that song. It makes me
think of gender dysphoria and the like. It's so emotional. *weep*

I just wanted to share with everyone a quote that I recently discovered that
exactly echoes (although it was written over 150 years prior to) Animal
Rights.
"...the religion of the south is a mere covering for the most horrid
crimes,-a justifier of the most appalling barbarity,-asanctifier of the most
hateful frauds,-and a dark shelter under which the darkest, foulest,
grossest, and most infernal deeds of slaveholders find the strongest
protection."
Taken from Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave,
Written by Himself
I just the urge to share that with everyone.

I honestly thought the lyrics in "Somebody" were some of the most genuine
and heart-felt...especially the line where he says "though things like this
make me sick...". That song still brings a tear to my eyes sometimes.
"Home" is also spectacular, one of the best songs they have ever written.

See the reason I won't sign a bill like this, despite the fact I'm underage
is that this bill could be twisted. I read something scary in the
government curriculum about "all who stand in the way of teaching
homosexuality must be eliminated">
Now I'm no homophobe or bigot but that scares me. People have a right to
voice their opinions even if they are crude or evil.
Plus, if this means somebody who kills a gay will be treated harder than
somebody who kills a straight? Some would say yes. I mean, some of the gay
rights bills actually show preference to gays over straights and I have a
problem with that, that's a form of prejudice
Not that I'm condoning any of this gay bashing--it's obviously evil
I'm just saying that some of these bills could be misused
No offense to anybody I'm no bigot I'm just pointing this out
