hey everybody
when i met moby on sunday for the signing before the show, i handed him two
of my favorite cds, "animal rights" (w/limited edition little idiot cd) and
voodoo child/moby "the end of everything". when signing, he said that "the
end of everything" was by far his best and favorite recording, but it will
never see the light of day. he had a fight with elektra records and
subsequently left the label...so the company decided to screw him, and only
made a VERY limited run on these. if anyone has it, consider yourself
lucky! if anyone sees it, BUY IT! it's gotta be worth a fortune (now that
mine's signed, i'm being buried with it).
all that being said, moby definately knows how to pick em, that voodoo child
cd is really his best stuff.

Bart,
That's because the singles you mention are before the UK Singles chart
rules was instituted. It is not a law, it is a rule however that for a UK
release to be considered a single it has to be no longer than twenty
minutes TOTAL playing time and have I believe no more than 3 tracks. An
asinine and stupid rule that has caused UK singles to suffer bigtime with
horrible remix "edits" to get under the twenty minute rule. I'd like to
know what geniuses thought up this rule, it's totally hurt UK singles.

I can't believe they did that!
I was wondering why Mute kept on releasing 3 track Moby singles,
Perhaps this STUPID chart rule thing is also the cause of the sudden
ending of Flying Foxes and Running (from the Run On single) F#CK!

I've got the opportunity to go see stereolab in December. I only
have Dots and Loops and i've heard a new song (on the CMJ cd) and I'm
wondering if I should go to the show? Its going to be a 4 hour drive.
The drive isn't that big a deal (i drove 8 hours to see moby, twice) But
the ticket price and the drive together... it will be at least 30 or 40
bucks.
Is STEREOLAB WORTH IT?
those of you who have seen them, please let me know.

Hi folks,
I really hate to do this... but i'm desperate. I have to find a pair of
light glasses for a project i'm working on. If any of you have seen the
movie "blade" the DJ in the rave scene is wearing these glasses. Its
basically a pair of non-prescription glasses with flashlights mounted on
either side. I know that a lot of you are Orbital fans. Orbital wore them
during the tour this year. I really need to get some quickly so if anyone
knows a DJ supply place where i can buy them..... I've seen them for sale
before but naturally, i cant find them now.
I've checked pro sound and music factory.... nobody seems to carry them
anymore.....
any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!
