ypu're one of the few other people in the world that i've talked to that
likes loreena mckennit. i just think that her stuff is absolutely goregous.
i can listen to her version of "lady of shallot" repeatedly for hours without
getting tired of it. i mean to check out enya, it sounds like she's along
the same line as loreena.

thanks bart for your review, i've been missing things like that. h
ps. bart, if you remember i once asked your advice about sort of
screensavers. that project is still going strong and getting really
interesting. well, in fact: if someone gets the idea what i'm striving
for, feel free to post me privately heidig@uiah.fi:
i'm looking for most likely techno which isn't 'emotional', like i think
moby is (get the feeling?), raising conscious emotions,
but should not be monotonious either. and also good. i care about myself:)
goa-acid-also very cool/hardtrance sort of things. but since i don't have
time for studying in recordshop nor scoring dj's , mobabes of the list
could post me their lists of best electronica. sorry, i'm very out of my
head, i hope someone gets some sense out of this. h

Ohmigod! I just saw a comercial for REBERB(?). They showed Moby and Beck
and some other ppl but mostly MOBY. They showed him playing bongos and singing
and playing more bongos and singing more. Then at the end they played "honey"
and they showed him standing on stage doing this weird thing w/ his hands.
Ohmigod! What is this REBERB?

PLUR is really a great catchline, how much longer before the rave movement
gets screwed up like the 60s? I think it started long ago. Why is it that
people always have to screw up something good? Like communism....
By nonconformist I just mean different.... I guess I sound pretentious but
it seems to me most people don't really pause to just enjoy life and
contemplate it? I feel our society is about doing rather than being, and I
find most people buy into that.... I don't know maybe I'm just a jerk :)

Dawson's Creek is one of the stupidest shows I've ever seen.
I don't know many people who talk that articulately.
Those who are articulate usually are in my "circle". And they usually
aren't obsessed with sex and aren't getting any by choice or by bad
luck.....
Shows like that really piss me off.

Subject: (mobility) God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters
Hi. I'm a relatively new fan of Moby, and I was wondering if someone might
be able to answer a question. I first heard Moby's "God Moving Over the Face
of the Waters" at the end of the movie Heat. I was very moved by this
particular song. Having bought the soundtrack to the movie, however, I was
quite disappointed to find that the track on the soundtrack is different
from the one in the movie, lacking the progressive chord transitions. Now,
I've heard that on an out-of-print remix album of "That's When I Reach for
My Revolver" there is a track called "GMOTFOTW (Heat Mix)" but that even
this is not quite the same as in the movie. The other two albums the song is
on are "I Like to Score" and "Everything is Wrong". Do these albums have the
version from the movie (not the soundtrack)? Where can I find the mix that
is played at the end of Heat? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
very much from a confused fan :)
PS- The version of New Dawn Fades is different on the Heat soundtrack than
it is in the movie, too. Any thoughts on this?

Hello all!
Just wanted to mention something for all you Moby and trance fans like
myself. I went to Virgin Records today looking for Moby's latest single
which I could not find. (sigh) and then I i went to go find my Trance stuff
and came across a cd that had one of Moby's songs, Why Does My Heart feel so
bad? It is remixed by ATB and its really nice. (this remix is in CD2 of the
single which is due out on oct.11) So if any of you are fans of Trance beats
get the cd its phat! The CD is called Ibiza 99 The Year of Trance Vol.2. So
just wanted to share that with you guys!

I like to score has the heat mix of GMOTFOTW, it also has a much
longer version of new dawn fades than the Heat CD has.
I also have the (Orange)Revolver CD with the heat mix on it which
I *believe* is the same. it also has two b sides on it; "dark" and
"everyone of my problems". worth getting if you can find it...

I've only been around a little while, but here's my humble picks of the
decade---
1. The Orb-Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld
2. Bob Dylan-Time out of Mind
3. Deep Forest-Deep Forest
4. The KLF-Chill Out
5. Moby-Everything IS Wrong
6 Paul Simon - Rhythm of the Saints
7. Does the Band on the Run reissue count? :)
8. Vangelis-Blade Runner :)
9. Philip Glass-Powaqqatsi
10. The Orb-Orbus Terrarum
Okay, maybe most of the non-electronica music I listen to is "Old". Moby,
Orb, Deep Forest and maybe Bob Dylan are the only currently active artists I
listen to. and Underworld. Oh, yeah, I'm a little embarrassed---Fatboy Slim
The rest haven't released an album for a while (vangelis, paul simon) or are
disbanded
while we're talking about weaknesses, anybody into comix? Maus, Bone, Akiko,
Usagi yojimbo, Groo the Wanderer, Tintin manga calvin and hobbes boondocks?
okay maybe no

why would you be embarrassed to listen to fatboy slim?
hes got great stuff, and just cuz everyone is catching on to
one of his songs doesnt mean u should be embarrassed. i just wish
they played everybody needs a 303 on the radio instead of praise you.
although i must say, they played rockerfeller skank the other day.
but it was a crappy short edit.
the only thing u should be embarrassed about is if u have any of these
albums.... britney spears, nsync, backstreet.. any of them peoples..
thennnn u can be embarassed.
