I would love to hear him play "new dawn fades" en concert. *sigh* I don't
think he played it at the show I went to from the "Iliketoscore" tour. Did he
play it at any recent shows anyone's been to? If so, I'm so jealous. :-P

I don't think there is. I almost sort of recently read an interview w/
Angelina Jollie and it wasn't mentioned also, you'd think they'd advertise
it?! Does any one agree that there isn't a sequel? Really, the first movie
was so terrible that they couldn't possibly. But it was one of those movies
that was so bad it was good. :-)

ok -- Desert Storm, Vietnam
I can name more if you want ...
Korea, WWI, WWII, US Civil War, US Revolution (technically we could also include
all the battles within each of these wars since you will probably use many of
the battles of the Crusades as a war in itself)
All I'm saying is that it's more like 60% not 98%

Jayson,
Ok, name two wars that didn't start because of relgion? Or were religion
wasn't the one of the underlying factors in that war.
To clarify another points
- ---
While we're at it, is this religion exclusively, or religion used as a hook
for coveting status, wealth, people, lebenstraum, and all the rest? It seems
that a lot of the time religion was used as a convenient tag to hang the
above on. Some exceptions, granted, but even the crusades had an element of
giving the younger sons of nobility something to do.
- ---
- - Yes, I meant relegion as the "tag" you described.
- ---
I agree with you there, definitely...I think the majority if not all of
religious oriented wars religion was simply used as a hook to motivate the
soldiers to fight in wars that were actually motivated by politics, greed,
etc. religion is a tool used by the selfish to control the masses...
- ---
- - Yes, agreed. Relgion is a very strong motivation even when greed and
politics are the real causes.
- ---
what i thought that meant was 98%of ALL wars. documented or not. tribal
wars, the crusades, all the little european wars before it was europe,
muslims, whatever. all those are wars too, and theres been thousands of them
since man learned that he can kill. not just world war 2 and vietnam and all
that modern crap. its just the nature of man to protect his beliefs with a
ferocity like none other, and he will kill for it.
- ---
- - Yes, i meant ALL wars. Just as described here.
