  58. is my dream mix that's on there. it says extended, but
  59. doesn't seem to be any longer than the version on the
  60. cd single. anybody know what's up?

  280. Yes, it IS a bit longer, it has the ending chords looped over
  281. and over again instead of just a few loops in the Edit.
  282. (and some other slightly longer loops elsewhere...)

  284. I usually like the extended versions of songs better, but with this
  285. song I really prefer the edited version.  Although the extended
  286. version is only 4:41, the endless loop really starts to get boring
  287. after a while... Compare the last minute of the edit with the ext.
  288. mix.

  299. well, 104 never did get around to broadcasting Moby.
  300. he was at the rave stage at like 1:45 in the morning.
  301. 104 just did main stage acts, and they replayed
  302. earlier acts all thru the night till Kid Rock played
  303. at 1:15 or so. god DAMN there was a lot of cursin! and
  304. they didnt censor iit! he started out with this
  305. speecha bout grammatical uses of the word FUCK and the
  306. radio staation was like "you may get offended by this,
  307. these here rawk stars like to swear!" and during one
  308. of his songs (the one with the midget with a "ten foot
  309. dick") they start singing "WE ROCK THE PARTY ROCK THE
  310. BODY!!" or something. Of course, everything Kid Rock
  311. ever did is stolen from hip hop or Lynyrd Skynyrd, so
  312. that really isnt a surprise. He probly has no clue who
  313. Moby is.

  498.                 DJs in the house, he had a band.

  500.                 Moby was performing in an aircraft hangar that serves as
  501. the festival's
  502.                 emerging artists stage during the day. The Connecticut
  503. native, a
  504.                 leading DJ in Britain and the U.S., devoted his portion
  505. of the rave to a
  506.                 performance by his band, featuring a platinum-tressed
  507. bassist and a
  508.                 keyboardist with orange hair.
  509.  
  510.                           He greeted the audience by saying, "My name is
  511. Moby,"
  512.                           and spent the next hour singing songs such as
  513. "Honey"
  514.                           (RealAudio excerpt), from his new album, Play.

  516.                           "Thanks to everybody for staying up so late to
  517. come and
  518.                           see us and for putting up with all this
  519. garbage," Moby
  520.                           (born Richard Melville Hall) said. He was

  538.                           York DJ Liquid Todd spun monotone dance music
  539. that
  540.                           kept thousands of fans, many of whom had been
  541. up
  542.                           since the previous morning, spinning around

  544.                           as they watched their favorite bands.

  546.                           A long-haired guy dressed from head to toe in
  547. white
  548.                           underwear riddled by about 100 holes danced
  549. with an
  550.                           imaginary partner. Joe Yarborough, 27,
  551. mesmerized his
  552.                           fellow Woodstockers with a masterful
  553. breakdancing
  554.                 interlude, during which his arms and legs moved so fast
  555. they became a
  556.                 blur.

  558.                 "I've been doing [breakdancing] since I was a little
  559. kid," Yarborough
  560.                 said. "Everybody in my neighborhood in Detroit did."

  562.                 On two giant screens, lights pulsated with geometric
  563. shapes that
  564.                 created a dizzying environment as revelers bounced off
  565. one another.
  566.                 Slogans such as "Birth is decay ... this decay is birth"
  567. flashed randomly.

  569.                 When it was his turn, Moby played guitar, jumped, kicked
  570. his legs and
  571.                 shook his bald head at the foot of the stage, as the
  572. crowd tossed
  573.                 rubber balls around. He dedicated his set to "anyone who
  574. has ever
  575.                 stayed out till 4 a.m. dancing."

  577.                 Moby sang his 1993 single "I Feel It" to loud cheers, as
  578. dancers stage
  579.                 right flailed around with baby-bottle nipples in their
  580. mouths. He shouted
  581.                 "lift yourself to heaven" over a track that featured
  582. shrieks and echo
  583.                 effects that brought to mind performance artist Yoko
  584. Ono.

  586.                 Most of the crowd seemed unfazed by the band.

  588.                 "We just like to dance," 24-year-old Lisa Flesher of
  589. Long Island, N.Y.,
  590.                 said. "This music is good, though," her friend Tiffany
  591. Rothstein added.

  593.                 "I have no idea how you are all still awake, but I'm
  594. very glad you are,"
  595.                 Moby told the crowd with a big smile.

  597.                 Earlier in the day, Moby said Woodstock "has resonated

  599.                 life. I grew up watching the movie and I have the double
  600. album," he
  601.                 said, referring to the recorded documents of the
  602. original Woodstock

  605.                 He praised the weekend's lineup but said that if he had

  607.                 together, he would have eased up on the hard rock and

  609.                 eclectic acts. Two of his favorite artists in the

  630.     If anyone is going to the dallas show please let me know.  Someone
  631. emailed me a while back about possibly carpooling..... and i think i
  632. accidentally deleted the email.  I called the venue in dallas yesterday
  633. and it turns out that tix are $15 and unless the weather prevents
  634. it......   (this is awesome) the concert will be outdoors :)
