who the heck chose atb to remix moby's new single? i mean, this guy did a
eurodance version of adamski's "killer"! but hey, his remix can hardly be
worse than the "james bond" remix by piet blank & jaspa jones

yeah even IF it had contained info about Moby i would consider it as
SPAMM,
now what I always do, as a policy, is send the whole message back with
a few lines of cursing above it, that they dont understand that if
everybody starts doing that what they do, that the Net is DOWN in one
minute! but they dont seem to care, as long as they THINK they can
make money that way, and they prob. can too.
Now, the FILTER here is that you have to be a member;
so they first join, introduce themselves with the discography copied
from www.moby.org and there you go!
So it's ONE of US!
..and ONE of THEM!
how many of you out there are actually in the record(selling)business?
can you off-list me, cause i might have sumthing interesting..
music that is;

would be good if someone could give me a ride... i
havent talked to Sebastian yet, i dont know if hes
going or not.... if so then maybe his mom could bring

one more thing, i was doing net training to little

looking for Backstreet Boys pages, and i scroll down
to the bottom for some reason and it has a link to
Weird Al pages, so i so 'hey lets go to the Weird Al

Well, incase no one has done it yet, I just wanted to thank Eric for being
psycho enough to type out that huge article. I enjoyed reading it until it got
to the part about decribing the machines... I know that musth have taken a
long to to type out.
Anyway, I just bought my 4th copy of Everything is Wrong only because it cost
3 dollars (and I get 200 yen off, so it cost 1 dollar!) and I hate seeing that
album sitting in a used bin. Anyway, does anyone have any idea what the Boston
show on August 26th is? I may have a chance to see Moby after all... Anyway Later.

Kelly,
Ah, yes the exact same thing. I did change
Orbital-Digest to read Mobility, though didn't I? ;)
I do apologize for the quick-paced "hyping" email, but
I'm not working on any kind of a budget here, and am
not getting much sleep.
The fact remains that I am a tremendous fan of Orb,
Orbital and Moby, have been on the mailing lists for
at least six months, and only posted to a smallo
number of my favorite mailing lists.
Maybe I should've introduced who I am, but I'm Winslow
Leach, and can't say more than that!
Uh... Oh yeah. I wanted to say I respect Moby as much
as my other rock 'n' roll heroes. An artist gets my
respect when s/he sticks to their guns. And Moby's
done just that. I mean, it took real guts to make
Animal Rights, breaking protocol like that and making
a punk record.
for that, and especially covering Mission of Burma, I
respect him.
And those of you who are also on the Orbital list... I
would have had high praise for them, as well, but the
coffee hadn't kicked in yet :)
wl
p.s. I should say, with regard to the "that's what
they WANT you to do" comment, there's not much of a
"they" here. It's just me, Winslow.

*cough* spam *cough*
well, at least it was music related... and not just
useless crap. then
again,
i never went the url (because thats what they WANT you

can't
really comment on what the content of the site was
like.

- -DIGESTS-
On the average, one digest a day is being sent out from Mobility.
There are no plans to change their current frequency or size.
- -REPLYING-
Mobility is set up to automatically make your reply go to the list.
In my experience, you have to copy (or) cut & paste the individuals
email address if you want to respond to them personally.
- -HYPELESS-
Okay, so the email was rather large and I think that's what kinda bugged
me about it. But Winslow has been a member of this for a while and has
(IMO) made his presence known often enough that I recognized his address
when I saw the email (and I've got a somewhat bad memory). So right
now, I'm looking at it in the way I looked at the whole Sifl and Olly
thing which appeared so very often however brief or small in size. :)
I am re-sending this slightly edited text to the list to help those who
might have questions about subscribing and unsubscribing. It also
points out the focus of this list among other things. If you find any
problems, please point them out to me. Thanks to everyone!

Mailing List INFORMATION TEXT
*** Mailing List Formed in October 1996 ***
Administered by: 'Damian' (damian@xmission.com)
(owner-mobility@lists.xmission.com)
Mobility: The unofficial Moby mailing list! This list discusses the
aspects, rumors, and issues of the music artist Moby. It also discusses
his pseudonyms (i.e., Lopez, Voodoo Child, etc.) and the music of his
record label Trophy.
If you ever need to retrieve a copy of this message, email
majordomo@xmission.com with the command "info mobility"
in the body of the message.
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE AND UNSUBSCRIBE
- --------------------------------
To join "mobility," send email to majordomo@xmission.com with the
command "subscribe mobility" (without quotes) in the body of the
message. You will receive a confirmation message and a copy of this
information file. Once you are subscribed, you will receive each
message as it is posted to the list.
A digest version of "mobility" is also available. If you subscribe to
the digest you will receive groups of postings in a single email message
instead of one at a time. These "digests" are sent out whenever there
is a certain amount of text in the queue. It is usually best to try the
regular version of the list first and then switch to the digest if you
are getting more mail from the regular version that you can deal with
comfortably. To subscribe to the digest, send the command "subscribe
mobility-digest" to majordomo@xmission.com (again, with no quotes) in
the body of the message.
** Once subscribed, send your email to mobility@lists.xmission.com **
PLEASE NOTE - The address you subscribe must be the address you use
to send email to mobility! This list does not accept mail from non-
subscribed addresses. So if you have multiple accounts or your address
gets changed in the sending process it will not show up on the list.
It will get delayed and will likely be returned. This policy is helpful
in preventing SPAM from reaching the Mobility mailing list.
To leave the list, send email to majordomo@xmission.com with the command
"unsubscribe mobility" or "unsubscribe mobility-digest" (as appropriate)
in the body of the message. If you have trouble unsubscribing, send
email describing the problem in detail (what commands you sent, what you
got back if anything, etc.) to owner-mobility@lists.xmission.com
CHANGING FROM BOUNCE MODE TO DIGEST MODE
- ----------------------------------------
Should you wish to receive a digest, send a message to
majordomo@xmission.com and in the body of the message type
"unsubscribe mobility" on the first line, and then type
"subscribe mobility-digest" on the next line.
Remember: problems with your subscription should be reported
to owner-mobility@lists.xmission.com, not to the list itself.
THE GOLDEN RULES
- ----------------
1. Please keep the discussion on the list confined to that revolving
around Moby, his record label Trophy, and the pseudonyms thereof. For
example, while Puff Daddy may be a great artist to some, most members of
the list don't really care since it's not related to Moby.
2. Please keep in mind basic netiquette when making postings to the
list. When replying to a message, try to quote only the sections of the
original message that are relevant to reply and EDIT the rest. Avoid
using excessively long signatures -- while they may look fancy remember
that people will see them on your every posting and will start to looked
tired real quick (four lines is a good size).
3. Try to keep messages relevant to the list's topic (no general
advertisements, "warnings" about viruses, chain letters, and so forth).
The list manager has final say on whether a topic is welcome on the
list; please do your best to follow his guidance.
4. The messages you send are going out to hundreds of other people.
Please think twice before posting flames or extremely large messages to
the list. You should *never* send graphics or audio files to the list
- -- doing so may result in your subscription being canceled.
5. When posting to the list, make sure you are using the same address
that you subscribed with!!! Any address submitted to the mailing list
that is unrecognized will be returned to the sender and will not be seen
by the list members, no exceptions.
