Gemm.com has several listings for stores that currently have this cd in stockand
others. If I am searching for a rare single or albumm and I can't find it on
gemm.com, i usually give up.. ;)

damn.. does that bring back memories.. ;) I have no idea who did that onethough..
There ought to be a compilation of 'really cheezey techno songs'
like this one that while they aren't technically great or artistically worthy
are still infectious and are worth a listen every once in a while..
i nominate smart e's - sesame street
o fortuna - apotheosis
and this cookie monster song.. ;)

Porcelain started getting played here in Spain, in a radio program I'm
starting to listen to. There're still people who dont play the "song of

From talking with people that I know that don't know techno...i've found
that James brown is dead or 3am Eternal (by the very talented and infamous
KLF!)...specially when it was played on a commerical for a "all time
dance/party" CD here in the states...people asked me "who is that? I know
that song"...
Of course this is just my opionon I could be wrong (gotta love Dennis
Miller).
As for moby...I've been out of town for a while (fortunately I was able to
purchase Play before I left)...so I did not get all the talk on play. I
personally love it. It is definately my second fave moby (number one is
EIW). But I am really partial to songs like WDMHFSB and Porcelain (which
remind me of ITB and WICILTD off of EIW).
NP: 3 CDS in the Stereo right now on random: MOBY "Play", Pulp "This is Hard

music, lifestyle, everything. He doesn't sound like he looks (understand?)
It was only $3, too. Does anyone else have this? Are these different

Ah so that's the song they used....i only barely caught the commercial. I
was on my computer and just faintly heard the strains from his song and
looked over at the tv just as it was ending so i didn't quite place the
song plus i didn't get a good look at the commercial so i couldn't see how
they used it. Plus I haven't seen it since.

Unfortunately Porcelain is so powerful
it makes me cry almost EVERY time
I hear it- it's always one lyric or another,
I think I relate to almost every word.
(well, there are a few that I'm not sure
of...I'll leave it that way for now- it's hard
enough!) It's a rare, rare thing for a song
to do that to me over and over. A couple
of the songs on the new "Electronic-
Twisted Tenderness" get me that way too.
So this is goodbye...

Yep, I was sitting in the movie theater a midnight to see the very first
screening of Star Wars and they showed the preview and I thought to
myself, out of all the music, why the hell did they pick God moves across
the Waters? Oh well, almost no one in the theater knew where the music
was from, sheesh, that was a while ago.

Subject: (mobility) [mobility] why i like moby
One the main reasons I like Moby is the huge amount of variety to
be found within his work. He must have touched just about every base
from Classical to Thrash Punk, from Ambient to Hardcore Techno.
Inspired by his diversity, my own musical project - "midflight" has
just released a CD which contains 15 tracks in 15 different styles,
all for only $5.99 - all of the songs can be previewed for FREE at...
http://www.mp3.com/midflight
Check it out if you get chance, and support a fellow Moby devotee :)
Also, I've recently come across a "feeling so real" cd single which
is not in the discography, and even contains a remix which is not
available anywhere else! More details to follow soon...
Regards,
Andy

without having even listened to "midflight" yet, i
must say that i think posting your music to a list is
great. one of the other lists i'm on(a rdj list)is
filled with wonderfully talented people. a lot of them
have made music and posted ways to hear it to the
list. it's a great way to get a variety of opinions
from intellegent ,objective(sometimes)listeners,
without having someone tell you to your face that you
suck! so if anyone else has some choons ready to go.
post um'! or send me the links privately. i LOVE to
hear new music.

ps-i'll let you know what i think as soon as i listen

This doesn't really relate to Moby, but does anyone here have
Prodigy's Dirtchamber sessions volume one? I just bought it, and well
its dang cool. It has samples from a butt load of people, but no Moby
suprisingly. Here is a list of some that popped out:
Chemical Bros.
Jane's Addiction
Frankie Bone's
Meat Beat Manifesto
Herbie Hancock
Propeller Heads
Beastie Boys
Sex Pistols
Fatboy Slim
Barry White(haha)
Public Enemy
LL Cool J
Cold Cut
and a bunch more...Anyway, its definetly something to pick up. All I can
say is it must have taken him a long time to go through all that legal
crap. Mind you, If you don't dig big beats that much, then you might not
want to pick it up, but if you like old school rap then this is a really
cool cd. I'm still suprised with the lineup he has that he didn't have
any Moby stuff, but this only Volume 1, if that means anything. To make
this sort of related, Moby is my favorite artist!

It is strange that of some big movie company decides to use a Moby song for
1.2 seconds and pay royalties when they can just make up a sappy song and not
have to pay anyone. Also, I don't know if anyone has heard of the band VAST,
but they are pretty dark- and their song "touched" is being used in the
preview for the new Leonardo DiCaprio movie. Pretty odd.
