(Sarah has an impressive LINK. Check it out!)
I'm with you on PORCELAIN Sarah! That is one of my favorite songs on
the album. Especially the part where he goes:
"Tell the truth you never wanted me."
"Tell me ..."
Right after those lyrics a great piano part comes in with a woman's
voice overlapping. It great! (don't ask me why. it just makes me feel
GOOD)
I'll tell the list this because I have no one else to really tell. I
had a dream about MOBY. He was playing live at some resort or
something. The best part was that he was performing RUNING (b-side off
of RUNON single) live and the mix he was using live kicked major ass.
It's kinda funny that my dream cerated a fantastic mix of the song.
Weird huh? Anyway, after his performance, the whole crowd was silent
(they didn't know who he was!) and MOBY gets all shy and embarrassed.
You could tell he was REALLY getting into his set but he stopped
playing because no one encouraged him to continue. That was basically
it. I think I tried to say hi to him and he brushed me off or
something.
OK. I'M WEIRD. I don't deny it. I make FrankZ look like a genius on
this email.

I *loooove* 'Porcelain'.
Was just listening to one of the only decent local radio stations here and
they played 'Porcelain'. I just think that song is simply beautiful and
if Moby performs it live during his upcoming tour I am just going to cry
while he plays it.
I love this radio stations cuz they are actually playing a couple songs
off of 'Play' in their regular rotation lately.
Also I updated my website with new pictures. I only had one picture of
Moby when he was here dj'ing and it turned out very blurry...oh well. I'll
get better ones when his tour heads this way.
I also have picture from when I saw Gus Gus, Mark Farina, Joi, DSCI4 Tour
(Trace, Fierce & MC Ryme Tyme), and Paul van Dyk. As well as many older
pictures from Underworld, Dubtribe, Asian Dub Foundation, Richie Hawtin,
Doc Martin, Paul Oakenfold, Dave Seaman, etc.
Check em out and let me know what you think or sign my guestbook! Thanks.
The link is below....enjoy! :)

TRANCE EUROPE EXPRESS IS AN AWESOME,AWESOME CD!!! it
can't be spoken of highly enough. there's also songs
by black dog & orbital(among others!). the version of
the orbital song(semi-detached)is exclusive to this
comp. as well as the aphex twin song. it's a version
of analogue bubblebath 3(the song) that isn't on the
ab3 cd. it sounds much more analogue actually. i think
the orb song/mix is exclusive as well...maybe not.
anyway, this 2 CD comp is well worth finding and owning
for all eternity.

O my GAWD!!! papua new guinea sounds sooooo sweet on a
dance floor. STILL! i remember the first time i heard
that song at a party. i wanted to cry right there on
the dance floor it was so beautiful. i believe that
may be the first song that i pushed my way up to the
dj to try and get a look at the record. not something
i usually do. damn fine song!

The other day, I was listening to EIW-Mixed & Remixed, and it occurred to
me--during the period from the time he made EIW, and the release of the
mixed/remixed CD's, Moby was absolutely posessed. I think if you ask him, he
might even tell you the same thing. EIW was (still is) a masterpiece, but
the real stroke of genius was to then go and REINVENT the album as a dj mix.
Conceptual with out being pretentious.
So it go me to thinking....Does anybody else wonder what a similar piece of
work based on the music from "Play" might sound like? Would anybody be
interested in something like that? Would it work?

Orbital's "Semi-Detached" is also on their _Diversions_ EP.
Moby's "Move (Volume Mix)" is exclusive to TEX, and it's a
nice relaxing version of the song. Also, the book that
comes with TEX includes a several-page interview with Moby,
along with some good pictures.

demo like.

Moby has already said that he will be doing Play remixes. (yay!) What will
it sound like? Well, he's certainly getting back into the spinnin' groove w/
all these DJ appearances. The remix b-sides were what EIW RMX was composed
of. If you remember, each disc had a different set of moods on it. I think,
if Moby does 2 CDs again, that one will have stuff w/ a hip-hop beat, and
blues vocals. Slower remixes of Honey, Run On, & maybe Natural Blues would
be on it. The Low Side Mix of Honey and the Young & Funky mix of Run On
would mix together well on this disc, I think. The other would have more
techno like stuff. The Sharam Jey mixes, Dani Konig mixes, Risk & Dark mixes
of Honey, that sort of thing. The upcoming singles w/ all the Bodyrock
remixes should be good indicators of how the faster remixes will sound, _if_
there's some fast ones. I think if Moby does an ambient or trance portion it
should be with the techno disc. Moby already has lots of soft, dreamy
numbers alongside blues boppers on Play, so the remix disc(s) should have
different pacing, hence the quiet stuff alongside the techno instead.

You better believe it would work. It could be awesome! I would
want something that is fast, beautiful, interesting, and emotional.
If it is a remix album, it should include some excellent, rare,
vinyl-only remixes of "Run On" (from the German 12") and "Honey"
(from UK limited/promo 12"s), as well as previously unreleased
stuff and even some songs that were made for _Play_ but were not
included on the album.
Moby has said that his idea is to next year put out a _Play_
remix album. If his record company(^Hies) consent, it would be
a 2CD. The second CD would be a mix that Moby did a couple years
ago consisting of his more underground things like Trophy Records
stuff.

I think it would be a freakn cool album to get! Of course you still
would need to get good artists like Westbam and the such. I think it
would be great, I'm all for it.

YUP YUP YUP!! When I listen to that part on my CD-MAN I almost have to
stop walking just so I can absorb all of it. Maybe it's because it's
in major chords or something. Sometimes simplicity can make a song
even greater. It's a simple song that speaks volumes.
What's REALLY weird is that the lyrics are kinda depressing! (actually
