hi xaggi,
[i played THANKS-1 today.... part of it... #5 Especially]
what happened to Gingerbread, catch me if you can...?
Who knows the sound of one hand clapping?
a bit fat around the middle? I like the expression, but what do you mean?
Which one is it? the only tekno moby song track?
i figured out #9 is the only A.R. type song, but that ain't techno-no?
Moby is the Mobiest... so cut the Labeling
you remember that finnish chap who sent us a list of 115 names of different
types of tekno-music, he sampled?
Just call it Made-with-Electronics... compared to LIVE non electrical
amplified...
Maybe it's inbetween?
So I'd call this Mobiest of Moby's cd: The Play Elektro-Technical Ambient
(50%) Blue House
Only FOUR number with the Gospel-strategy... it could have been 14 I think
how can you sleep...? when yo've heard PLAY?
I step out bed in the middle of night to hear: Give me Summer!
(is that the techno-song?)
No Extension! It ARE ALL SONGS!
No tracks...
sleep well...

Hello guys & gals,
I'm going to be away from the computer quite a bit over the next several
days. Taking some much needed time off of work and getting
a bit of R&R.
Therefore, I'm asking that everyone take special care to keep their
accounts up to date and keep from letting your mailboxes filling up.
Normally my procedure is to allow a few bounces to collect in case
someone is having problems with their account. Since I don't have the
time to maintain the list like needed I will in most cases be quickly
unsubscribing any account that bounces an email.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend & holiday for all those who get one!
Take care,

Subject: (mobility) Moby Play and NYC
Walking down Bleecker Street yesterday I noticed "Moby Play" promo posters
everywhere. It is great seeing them, it got me so excited to see the new
album in stores 06.01.99. I went to my local tower records and dropped
$4.99 for 2XMoby even though I have had it as .mp3 for months now. I am on
my 12 or so listen to Play and I must say it has grown on me in a big way,
the end of the album his stronger than the beginning though. one thing I
love about Moby is he never stops experimenting, it is hard to get bored
with his music when he is all over the place. It is great.
So anyone here in NYC walk around and look for the Moby posters, i bet there
are Moby go cards around the city too.
I am taking pictures tomorrow.
The best are the Moby posters right next to the backstreet boys and brittney
spears, tough choice there which one to listen to.

Here is a funny story i read:
Raggot's Revenge
Taken from an actual article in the 'LA Times'.
"In retrospect, lighting the match was my big mistake.áBut I was only
trying to retrieve the gerbil"á Eric Tomaszewski told bemused doctors
and the severe burns unit of Salt Lake City Hospital.
Tomaszewski, and his homosexual partner, Andrew 'Kiki' Farnum, had been
admitted for emergency treatment after a felching session had gone
seriously wrong.
"I pushed a cardboard tube up his rectum and slipped 'Raggot' our pet
gerbil in" he explained.á "As usual, Kiki shouted 'Armageddon', my
indication that he'd had enough.á I tried to retrieve Raggot but he
wouldn't come out again, so I peered into the tube and struck a match,
thinking that the light might attract him."
At a hushed press conference, a hospital spokesman described what
happened next. "The match ignited a pocket of gas and a flame shot out
of the tube, igniting mr Tomaszewski's hair and severely burning his
face.á It also set fire to the gerbil's fur and whiskers which inturn
ignited a larger pocket of gas further up the intestine, propelling the
rodent out like a cannonball."
Tomaszewski suffered third degree burns to his face and a broken nose
from the speeding gerbil, while Farnum suffered first and second degree
burns to his anus and lower intestinal tract.
OK.á So heres the top ten things that frightened me the most when
reading this story.
10) "I pushed a cardboard tube up his rectum."
9) "So I peered into the tube..." I'm sorry, but that's like looking
through a telescope into hell. I'd rather use binoculars to stare at
the sun.
8) That poor gerbil (who obviously suffers from low self esteem) being
shot outof this guys ass like Rocky the flying squirrel.
7) Suffering a broken nose from a gerbil being launched out of
someone's ass.á I seriously doubt that said gerbil was spring fresh
after his little trip into Kiki's tunnel of love.
6) The thought that there are people walking around with these little
pockets of gas in their intestines.
5) People who do this sort of thing and admit what they are doing when
taken to the emergency room.á I'm sorry, but I think I would make up a
story about a gang of roving, pyromaniac, anal sex fiends breaking into
my house and sodomising me with a charcoal lighter before I admitted
the truth.á Call me old fashioned, but I just can't imagine looking at
a doctor and saying "Well Doc, it happened like this. á See we have
this gerbil named Raggot and we took this cardboard tube..."
4) "First and second degree burns to the anus...".á Wouldn't this make
the burning and itch of haemorrhoids a welcome relief?á And the smell
of burning anus must be in the top five most horrible scents on the
face of the Earth.
3) People named 'Kiki' which is obviously Polynesian for "Idiotic men
who insert rodents up their ass".
2) What kind of hospital holds a news conference on this sort of thing?
1) This happened in Salt Lake City.á What kind of people are those
Mormons anyway? á I'm starting to get a whole new image of the Osmond
family.

Subject: (mobility) great ideas for a pet
A pet can be a wonderful addition to a household, but it's important to
choose one that's right for your family. Here are some tips for making
a winning choice:
Pets eventually grow old and die, causing your children great emotional
trauma. Be sure to only choose pets which will outlive them, such as
the giant Pacific sea tortoise.
Select a pet with which you can experience both eros and agape.
Be sure to check for the appropriate number of limbs before you get
your new pet home.
Don't forget--poodles are for big, flaming faggots.
Pets soiling the rug in your house will only be a problem if they are
given food and water.
Pick any pet you like. If you later decide you don't like it, simply
kill it and feed it to your next "try-out" pet. Repeat as many times as
necessary until you find the perfect pet for your family.
Pets are loving, trusting creatures. Do not treat them with the same
cruelty and neglect you do your children.
Though most experts advocate spaying or neutering your pet, it's
expensive, it's a big hassle, and it screws with your pet's mind. To
hell with spaying and neutering.
Don't choose a pet that is larger than your family can handle, unless
you have plenty of room to store the leftovers.
Only choose a pet you are reasonably confident you can defeat in
hand-to-hand struggle, in case of food-chain-hierarchy disputes.
For a fun and low-maintenance pet, consider a "jar cat." Place a kitten
in a 16-ounce jar and seal the lid. Your new pet won't get any bigger
and will never run away or get into fights.
Before letting your children play with their brand-new pet, remove
potentially dangerous teeth and claws with a hand-held rotating saw.
For those parents concerned about the added expense a pet brings,
remember: Many pets and children may be fed to one another.
Pet ownership is a great way to teach children about the entire cycle
of life, from the miracle of birth to the inevitability of death. An
efficient parent can teach these important lessons in about three
hours.
Don't underestimate the fun and excitement your family can derive from
The Amazing Live Sea MonkeysÖ--just add water and see them come to
life!
Remind your children that pet ownership is a privilege they earn
through good behavior. If they do not live up to this responsibility,
take the pet away by sacrificing it in an elaborate ceremony involving
candles, knives, readings from the Book Of Numbers, and the ritual
consumption of the pet's roasted corpse.
Remember, pets need regular food, exercise, love and attention. You
probably should not be allowed to own one.

Zaragoza, Spain (as I say, "you know, Europe" :)
The worst was that it arrived some BackstreetBoys things that day,
but not Moby's. :)
Anyway... Patience (I think I'm gonna harvest the net looking for MP3
meanwhile) is what I need now...

Subject: (mobility) GO is the answer
Hello everybody,
I got the record today that HTFR advertized as:
Minky (Moby vs. D. Tenaglia) - Club-a-ration (Go is the answer)
If you read the title and the artist like this, you might think it
is a co-production of Moby and Danny Tenaglia.
THIS IS NOT THE CASE!
The record itself (GLAMPUSS001 PROMO) credits:
- - produced by Gary Dedman
- - recorded @ The Box
It has 2 tracks:
A- club-a-ration (Dutch courage mix)
B- club-a-ration (dirty mix)
The only thing that this record has to do with Moby is that the
Dutch courage mix samples the Twin Peaks theme and some
voices shouting GO! (not the GO sample Moby uses) I haven't
got a clue why they mentioned Danny Tenaglia...
So, to all of you who were wondering what this was (Daniel,
Markus) It is a great tune but IT IS NOT MOBY.

the only song i would call "techno" is "machete." it actually sounds a
lot like the tribal song from _move_ but dammit in can't remember the
name of it...
also, someone mentioned that _play_ is stronger near the end. i guess i
disagree. the end is where i think moby could have cut a few songs, or
at least developed them a bit more. it's interesting to hear rough cuts,
but i don't think they should be put on an album like _play_. maybe in
twenty years when moby is doing his come-back tour and releases a box set
of b-sides and demos....
anyone else think that "south side" is a lost frank black song?
anyway, it's my fav.
i think, like _everything is wrong_, moby has written the best summer
album, again! i've been driving around town today, it's VERY hot (for
minnesota) clear skies, nice breeze...and moby comming out the speakers.
what more could you ask for?
get _play_ at all costs!!!

I am so disappointed. There is merely a CD release party for PLAY
at The Lizard Lounge here in Dallas. I was given some misinformation.
I'm sure Moby intends on playing here soon though.
