Wait a sec here. That is absolutely rediculous.
So you do not go to any events that serve meat?? So basically you have
no where to go except work. That just doesn't make sense. You can't
even go to a ball game, or a bar for that matter.
Am I missing something here?

In a message dated 99-05-04 00:14:53 EDT, you write:
<< I seem to recall that when Moby plays live it's about half-and-half. I
work
at First Avenue in Minneapolis, and the last time Moby played there (I had
to work in the 7th St. Entry, next door--smaller annex room for local and
touring bands, great and all, but DAMN! I missed Moby, grrr), I was there
for soundcheck. It sounded like about 50-60 percent of the music was piped
in, and the rest was live. But I've always heard rumors that his musicians
are just miming anyway, so who fucking knows?
Matos
>>
I was at that concert at First Ave December of 1997....he was at Let It Be
Records doing some signing stuff befroe the concert...so I got my "I Like To
Score" CD signed by him...super cool....that was the only Moby show I have
ever been to, but it is what inspired me to learn the electronic music
trade....I was fascinated by his performance...All the energy he channeled
into the audience through his music and staging was unbelievable...anyways, I
know that is off the subject, but what isn't in this mailing list....thanks
for the info guys...I was pretty sure that he might have used DAT or ADAT and
layer onto that, but I wasn't sure...this now opens up so much more
opportunities for my music...thanks again!

Wait! Brian! Tim! Someone! Please! This could be so awesome for me as I am
actually going to be in America that weekend and driving down from Boston to
Baltimore that day and obviously passing through Hartford and NY! It would be
so awesome to see Moby, and I would be driving home with my friend who
introduced me to his music and neither of us have ever seen him before! But,
someone, please write one email that has the CORRECT Information about when he
is playing NY/Hartford, where it is, how I can get tickets, but especially
what time. Please someone help me out and quickly! Thank you so much! Later.

Moby's new album, "Play", will be released worldwide by Mute Records on May
17, except in the US and Canada, where V2 Records will release the album on
June 1, and in Japan, where Mute will release it on July 7.
To celebrate the album's release, Moby will be performing live at midnight
on May 31 at the Virgin Megastore in Union Square, New York. Plans are
being made for an World Wide Web broadcast. Moby will also be hosting a
number of special launch parties in key US markets immediately prior to and
after the release of the record.
Unfortunately, due to his global promotional commitments, Moby's two live
shows at the Scala in London on May 19 and 20 have been rescheduled to
September 21 and 22. These new dates will launch a six-week tour of Europe;
extensive tour dates for the US, Canada, Australia and Japan are currently
being set up.
Tickets bought for the original Scala shows will be valid for the new
dates, or refunds can be obtained from point of purchase.

i agree. actually i sometimes think that music is the ONLY enjoyable
thing. i just didn't think that moby, who ALWAYS mentions that we
shouldn't eat animals, would play at anything mentioning the whole-sale
slaughter of animals. i've seen bar-b-q's that would make a marilyn
manson concert look like "my little pony." when large groups of humans
get together for the sole purpose of eating just-less-than-raw meat, i
get very scared. even manson was sicked by an entire family eating bbq
chicken at disneyworld. ('course he was way fucked up on acid at the
time...) i just don't think it's right. i don't mean to go
off on a big tangent or anything. i eat meat when i can't find anything
better and that has less to live for. i was just confused and now i
understand. if only all of life was so simple...
