STEVE!!!
relay this to mobility for me. my other adress is down. and nothing will
send.
hello
so yet again, me and steve thought you might want to see the picture(s) of
this
http://members.tripod.com/~g0Dzinx/2xrunon.htm
so does this mean that thanksII is nothing but a little dream i congured up.
is he away again? not enough time for it?
what's up with thanks II.
should i continue trying to re-make tracks for it in hope that some of you
will like it? that would be your cue- you know, to SAY
SOMETHING? write. sorry if i'm coming off a little harsh but the way it's
been for me is-ask and i shall not recieve anything at all type thing.
howbout thanksII?
how about um.
ok. complain i won't. it's just damn irritating to hear nothing about this.
i was hoping that when i showed my "gu-hymn", that thanksII might actually
have been mentioned.
so i reworked the first winamp skin (moby1) that i ever made that you can
download from moby.org/fans.
it's finished now. and looks very different making use of the same picture
(of moby practically naked). you might not like it. i do. it don't seem to
fit moby's newer music the way i look at it. and STeveG hates it. so there
you have it. you can't look at what it looks like yet because i havent yet
made a picture of it. hold on a second...
ok so you can see the picture of the main window pik:
http://members.tripod.com/~g0Dzinx/Main.BMP
it won't open with your browser though so you'll have to open it in it's
location or whatever or save it to your disk to look at it if you'd like to.
the skin has in a zipped file, a playlist, an old readme that i havent
updated yet, an eq and blahakjfkla
oh yeah, and that cursor is in theretoo.
http://members.tripod.com/~g0Dzinx/moby-amp.ZIP
within a couple days i will update my moby page and it will be much simpler.

If you need some information on releases, for instance:
1) the differences between Animal Rights releases, or
2) Which complilations Moby has appeared on (currently over 80!)
As Bart mentioned, you can find that info in the discography here:
http://www.moby.org/info/mobydisc.txt
I have it bookmarked, actually. It'll save you the time of waiting for a
response and sorting through replies that only hold a small portion of the
information in each.

Okay, first off, greetings to all of the newcomers! Before I get routed
with ten-billion "Whats this Thanks thing?" first things first:
"Thanks" was a disk Andy coordinated with this list that was sort of a
Moby tribute with music created by list members. It will be re-released
when its sequel, Thanks II, comes out.
> should i continue trying to re-make tracks for it in hope that some of you

Okay, EVERYONE, REPEAT AFTER ME:
IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT IS THANKS II RELATED, PUT IT IN THE $%&%&^$#
SUBJECT OF THE MAIL MESSAGE, OR THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES THAT I'LL READ IT.
Listen, I dig this list, but some of the rants and offshoots I just don't
have the time to keep up with. I'd love to keep up, as there are some
interesting ideas, individuals, and opinions that live here. However, the
simple fact of the matter is I CAN'T READ EVERYTHING. So I wathc for
"Thanks II" and respond when I can.
So, out of pure luck, I caught this last e-mail messages.
> howbout thanksII?
> how about um.
> ok. complain i won't. it's just damn irritating to hear nothing about this.

Okay, I posted in March about the April 1st date and heard NOTHING.
ZILCH. ZIPPO. I had two private "do we have time" queries and that's it.
So, right now, we have less then a dozen tracks and IMHO, only about 4-5
that are really good.
Now, I am not going to turn into ThanksII Quality-NAZI here, so when the
time comes I'll let the list vote (d/l snippits or something). Until
then, we either:
a) publicly see who is working on stuff, and set a new date
b) settle for what we have
c) can it
I'm for option A, but I leave it up to you guys. Also, if there are any
new entries, PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME. E-mail, FTP, snail-mail - I don't
care. However, if people have posted entries on web sites, etc., and
haven't used "THANKS II" in the title of the posting, or haven't e-mailed
me, I know nothing about them. Please resend.
Listen, I can coordinate this but I can't force people to create music.
You guys need to do that.

I wish I had half of these.
Sorry I seem so down about this as a) I'm tired, b) its getting
frustrating as I seem to get the "Hey! What is going on?" and everyone
turns to me for production. Hell, I'll produce the hell out of this thing
once I get contact. You guys will love it.....But I need CONTENT.
So, little campers, how about you guys get your AcidDJ and Rebirth fired
up, grab some Mountain Dew, put on some Moby and start cranking some
music...cool?
Do that, and we'll get something kick ass going.
And let's vote on a date, cool? Nominations, anyone?

Well since i've been anxiously awaiting the release of this since October..
I'd go for settle what we have..
If its taken this long for us to only get as many decent tracks as u
said, then maybe its for the best that we just go on with our lives
and complete this thing.. and then when people get more motivation and
enough people are interested again, who knows Thanks III could be the king
of all moby tributes.
So if it comes out to a small EP, then heck thats fine with me.
Let's just get this over with..
And about the d/l snippits voting thing.. that might have worked if we were
doing this way before like in Nov, but if we do that now, thats just going
to
delay us even more.. so IMHO use what we have and burn baby burn.
thats all from me,
buh bye

okay. i see where you're coming from... but is this going to be cost
effective? will peopel WANT to pay (insert set price here) for only 4 or 5
tracks? me thinks not... especially us up in the great white north so its
like, that much more expensive...
i just got some new software but i don't know if i'll be able to come up
with anything before this new deadline. i have a bunch of art stuff to
work on with jennafur for a different competition. and about this
deadline. either end of may or mid july. i know my exams kick in mid
june, so i'm not even going to be reading the list for a few weeks....
personally, i think it would be best to make the deadline later rather than
sooner. there just doesn't seem to be any interest. i'd rather wait a few
extra months and get something with a whole pile of kickass stuff, instead
of 5 tracks that rock and 5 that are just filler.
that's my two cents.
people, speak up!!!!!!
