i'm wondering if it was the same tour-but i'm sure it
was. prodigy actually played first when i saw them-
and i had heard all the talk(and still hear)about what
assholes they are. but that night they were
incredible! liam jammed on many songs to the point
were they where unrecognizable! i was very impressed
that night having never seen them before. have seen
them since and was not impressed.

I didn't see the actual tours, but I saw Orbital in Boston. They
rocked the house. i would see them again for sure.
I saw Moby at this all-day deal that had about 18 bands on two stages
in one day. Had Morphine, Porno for Pyros, Real Big Fish, etc.
THEN at the end of the night MOby played on stage two for about 30-45
minutes. Once he finished, he went to Stage One and played That's When
I Reach for my Revolver WITH the Mighty Mighty Bostones AND the guy
that wrote the song originally (forgot his name). So the concert
closed with that song. it was pretty sweet!

but my favorite(not for quality-that would be the
warfield) just for all around crazy good time-was the
nasa tour(still have the free cassette they handed
out). the lineup for the sf date of the nasa tour was
young american primitive // vapour space // aphex
twin(when he still had the cool dancer guy and played
music you could dance to) // orbital(always an
incredible show) // and moby closed. wow!!! that night
was just crazy good. the afterparty was dope too!
anybody catch these shows or tours-would love to
discuss the happy memories!!!
peace. love.

Yes, the Dog *HEAVEN* single is great. I think you can also buy it here:
http://www.action-records.co.uk/
>They have TONS of Moby stuff. You should check it out.
They have a nice selection, but I wouldn't say that they have TONS of
Moby stuff. If you want to see a HUGE collection of Moby stuff you
can buy, go here: http://www.musicmailexpress.com/
(secure server I think)

There is no James Bond Theme remix single. (is there?)
I think it is often listed as "remix" because the UK version has 6 different
(re)mixes and the Australian version even has 8 (re)mixes! If you are able
to find the Australian one, buy it! The normal UK 6-track is nice too,
especially the "Grooverider's Jeep Remix" and the "Dub Pistols Remix"

moby has a song on the new clash tribute album. i forget the name, but
it's with heather nova. it's the last track and is very minimal with only
her voice and a few VERY obviously-moby strings and organ. definatly not
worth buying, but interesting if you're a hardcore fan. i've heard it once
and don't need to ever hear it again.

I was there. I was on a month-long

stuff, only party I've ever been to there.
Turned a not-quite-a-fan friend on to

2 funniest things I've read this year...
1. "Kicking my car..." by Russ
2. "Bondage fantasies about dressing up as a Teletubby..." by Tom
Conerning RS and Goldie, I almost never read the magazine. Terrible
things could happen if they piss me off. All it is/ever was/is commercial.
Brittney Spears? C'mon, give me a break. Goldie is still, in my opinion, THE
face of Drum and Bass music. Roni's good, and so are LTJ, Rob, SHJ (the 2nd
best), WE, Photek, etc...but Goldie's the man. What's his real name, anyway?
AllMusic said he never reveals it because of his background. The last thing
I read in RS about Goldie was about him and Bjork breaking up.
Questions...
1. Why isn't Moby on more compilations? Not soundtracks, but comps. The
only one I remember him on is a Techno album (can't think of the name)that
had "Feeling So Real" and the Lopez mix of "Dog Heaven".
2. Finally, if Moby formed a duo with someone, who should it be? Any
ideas?
A big shout to all the new ones on this list. Interesting name...Kitty
Watermelon? Sounds like a Japanese Anime superhero.

'Smatter of fact...^_^ My brother adopted the name Suika, which
means watermelon in japanese. Just about then, my mom finally got her
degree *stupid university pushed her around like 10 yrs!* and decided to
mock the status, she'd put "Lisa Ellen Watermelon Waltz" on her degree.
^_^ So that's how it started. Well, and we're big cat people. ^_^
Alright, that was so off subject...sorry. ^_^;

+1 = The Japanese release (it includes New Dawn Fades)
It has 17 tracks but they are also on the US version,
and it is about $32 so I wouldn't buy this one....
+5 = The US release. It is called +5 because it includes
5 different songs that aren't on the UK Animal Rights.
This one (and also the Japanese) include the song
"Anime" that is not on the 2CD version...
- -LTD- = The one you want, the 2CD. the bonus disc called
"Little Idiot" has 9 beautiful ambient tracks:
1 3:25 Degenerate
2 4:53 Dead City [sounds a lot like "Alone" without the drums]
3 3:06 Walnut
4 5:06 Old
5 4:01 A Season In Hell
6 3:43 Love Song For My Mom [not the same as the one on AR!]
7 3:22 The Blue Terror Of Lawns
8 3:44 Dead Sun
9 18:28 Reject [= also on the US rel. of "The End Of Everything"]
I think http://www.ab-cd.com also has the 2CD, I think it would be
cheaper to buy it there if you live in the US.
Musicmailexpress/rockhouse has a pretty impressive collection of
Moby stuff, but IMO they're a bit expensive....

1 These are the compilations I have (or that I know of) that have Moby
songs:
(They are not listed in the "compilation" section of Dan's discography info
on www.moby.org )
- - The Best of Parkzicht III [Voodoo Child - Dog Heaven (Extended Mix)]
- - Techno Trance 1 [ UHF - UHF]
- - Techno Trance 5 [Moby - Go (The Mover Mix)]
- - Techno Trance 9 [Moby - Hymn (European Mix)] ***
- - Thunderdome III [Moby - Thousand]
- - The History Of House (2CD) [CD2: Moby - Go]
- - Hit Explosion '97 vol. 12 [Moby - James Bond Theme]
- - Techno Tunes vol. 1 [Voodoo Child - Voodoo Child (contracted)]
- - Phuture Trax stage 3 [UHF - Everything]
At the library there are lots of other cd's with Moby songs on it, so I
wouldn't say Moby is only on just a few compilation cd's.
*** This is an edit of the full European Mix.
I haven't heard it on any other (Moby) release....
2 Moby should cooperate with Mimi Goese again, it sounded great
on Everything Is Wrong!

First, about the Japanese Animal Rights and basically every Japanese release
there is, they are always tons of money in America right? Everytime I went to
Newbury Comics in Boston I woud always pick up that APHEX 51/13 but then put
it down cause it was like 50 bucks. Well, I just want you all to know that the
reason is that it costs that price in Japan! A little bit less, but not that much.
Anyway, about the Animal Rights, if there is anyone who wants the 2CD Animals
rights set, send me an email. I actually have 3. I will trade it easily, so I
am sure this way will be much cheaper than paying 30 bucks on the iNET. But
either way you do it, I would again recomend only getting the 2CD Animal
Rights if you like the 1CD release. I think the mix of the heavy stuff and the
light stuff works much better as on the 1CD than having 2 CDs with it broken
up. Anyway, if you want it, anyone, send me an email. Later.
