I don't see how admitting you have had gay experiences, is
meant to be a joke? Is there a problem with Moby having
gay feelings or something? I hope, his views on the
environment, veganism, etc aren't a joke either!

I'm pretty sure the U.K. release is today. I must check the

I hate being labelled as whatever. Everyone is unique.
I think there are varying degrees of homosexuality and
heterosexuality. From my experience, I see a scale (as
others have heard me spout already) for sexuality - say gay
on the left, bisexuals in the middle and straight on the
right and different people are of varying degrees on that
scale. There's no real hard and fast rules. However, I
didn't choose my sexual orientation and it's not something
I can suddenly change if I want to.

I don't know what the situation is like where you live
(Kohut or is it Matej?). I mean are people hostile to gay
men and women? If it's anything like the small community in
Ireland where I grew up, people can be very small minded
and give you a hard time, so it's easier to stay in the
closet rather then get 'queer-bashed' by some repressed
twats.
As for getting the paper, it might prove difficult. I can't
get it outside London. You'd have to visit some gay/mixed
bar/club in the London area to pick one up and it is
published weekly. Unfortunately I'm not living in London,
and the next time I'll be there will be in 2 weeks time at
the earliest. My friend might still have it though. I'll
ask him not to chuck it, if he hasn't already. If you're
that interested I'll try and pass it your way.
At any rate the paper is a bit trashy as I said and I'd be
embarrassed to ask for it. It's like a straight person,
who's a tad shy and goes up to the local newsagent and asks
for the latest Playboy.
Most of the time it's hard to tell who's gay and who isn't.
Some guys I know, do have 'gaydar' though and you can begin
to notice certain mannerisms and dress code. The London
scene is all very contrived and plastic. Hence, I prefer
the more alternative venues, where your sexuality isn't a
big deal.
Love, peace and understanding,

I think he meant that "getting turned on by the dead" was a joke. Not
being Gay. MOBY loves his sex life, no one can argue about that!

I realise he meant getting off on dead people was a
joke. But it seems obvious that Bart also meant that Moby
saying he is bisexual was a joke too, no? Wasn't there some
point to bringing it up in relation to the topic, or was it
just off the wall? Correct me if I'm wrong with that yet
again Bart?

Oh, no I don't mean that! I'm so sorry! My Enlish is not that good
so I get misunderstood a lot...
What I wanted to do is give a funny quote of something Moby said
as a joke in an interview. Just a funny quote, nothing more, nothing
less... Laying the emphasis on THIS, I tried to indicate that THIS
particular quote should not be taken seriously, not the one about
Moby's bisexuality... I admit after reading it again that I should have
used other words to say what I meant.
I'm sorry that this "misunderstanding" thing always happens with you Tim.
(You know, with the Death Metal thing a few days ago)
I take his views on the environment and veganism very seriously!
In fact, I'm jealous of him. Everytime I eat an animal I feel guilty,
and yet I can't resist to eat that hamburger from Mac Donalds...
I wish I had the strength to just stop eating animals!
So what if you're gay, bisexual or straight. As long as you're HONEST!
So Tim, I'm sorry if I sounded rude to you or Moby.

It certainly is YOUR view. Just like, say,
"Either you are an intolerant fucking
MORON or you are not, no two ways
about it," right?
>I know I am making no friends by this, but is this the "God made me this
>way" excuse?
Excuse? Excuse ME? Are you implying
that homosexuality is something you
can just decide to change at random?
You sound, my completely ignorant
friend, like one of those "ex-gay"
ministers who insist you can somehow
be "turned straight" by denouncing
homosexuality and all its trappings.
Never mind that you're going to desire
people of the same sex for the rest of
your natural life, never mind that nobody
gives straght people any shit because
they "decided" to like the opposite sex,
never mind that sexuality is as ingrained
as eye color, male pattern baldness and
COMPLETE FUCKING STUPIDITY (that
would be your department, Chris)--you
can try to change them, but you're
gonna look pretty goddamn silly doing so.
No, let's all force gay people back into
the closet where their "sinful, unnatural"
impulses will not bother the rest of us
good, upstanding straight folk. Let's all
live inside a Nazi-ish fantasy of
repression and hatred, where straight
folks are the only ones allowed to express
themselves sexually.
Am I mad? You fucking better believe I
am. Chris: when you say "excuse," you
are implying that anyone who is gay is so
unnaturally--that they're doing it for no
other reason than they want to, for
rebellion or kicks or whatever. It also
implies that homosexuality is an
unnatural state--that anyone who is gay
is a freak of nature. In both cases, the
answer is "no."
I take it you are straight. Did you wake
up one day and decide you liked girls?
Was it a conscious decision on your
part? Of course it wasn't. WHAT MAKES
YOU THINK IT WORKS ANY DIFFERENT
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE,
DIPSHIT?!

Well, here's another opinion, and I don't
mind being flamed for it: If you are as
intolerant of homosexuality as you seem
to be claiming, you have no business
whatsoever being on a newsgroup that
specifically deals with an artist, Moby,
who A) makes music specifially
influenced by gay disco and house, B)
has sermonized (in his liner notes,
interviews, and on stage) that there is
no excuse for that kind of bigotry, and
C) has just outed himself as bisexual. I
realize that makes me a bigot of sorts
myself, and I understand that I am
contradictng myself to a degree by being
intolerant of ignorant bullshit like the
letter I am replying to. I also know I am
not the listmaster and cannot make the
decision for the group to get rid of
people with stupid-assed opinions like Mr.
Kloehr's. Nevertheless, it seems to me
that anyone who would make comments
like those COMPLETELY MISSES THE
POINT OF MOBY'S MUSIC AND THE
BELIEFS THAT INFLUENCE THEM, and
has nothing to contribute to any
intelligent discussion of those things.
Feel free to flame away.

That comment is not scientific fact, and to do so would to base a defense
on shakey ground. There is scientific evidence that supports both schools
of thought. Since we are not talking science, let's talk what we know.
>From my experice, my gay friends, som say they have made the choice to live

All and all, you are what you are. If you are gay, not gay, animal lover,
who the fuck cares? The whole point is ppl. are ppl. We can't change
that, nor should we even attempt to change it. If you have a problem
because someone is gay, it's your problem. The problem IS NOT that they
are gay, the problem is that you cannot deal with things that make you
uncomfortable.

ok ok ok...............
I must apologize.....for stating my opinion. I came across like a biggot, of
which I am not. I know I am no better than the next person. I have
aquaintances which are gay, and they know how I feel as well. But, please
let me tell you this. I do realize that ALL people have their differences.
Some fat, some thin, some gay, some straight. The world takes all types. But
BOTTOM LINE..........I am part of this group for the music, and I was
totally WRONG in letting my opinions come out like they did (it wasnt even
my thread).
Please accept my humble apologies.......
