  45. Just so you know.......Orbital's "Middle of Nowhere" is due to be released
  46. in the States on June 8th.  I already have bought the import, and it is
  47. amazing!  And from what I last heard The Orb's new album was pushed back to
  48. September if my memory serves me right.

  64. listening to it a couple of times it started (I have to quote 
  65. Daniel Cerman now...) really to grow on me.

  226. The uncropped photo has more empty space above Moby's head. There's a 
  227. reddish colored smudge in the upper left that looks like somebody's 
  228. fingerprint after eating some barbeque potato chips. Who knows, maybe 
  229. they were buffalo style ruffles...nah. :)

  252. word from the distributor. They work at 
  253. Let It Be Records and usually are up on 
  254. their shit. I'll have to double check.

  417. I'm new to this list, and a quite big Moby-fan. I have all major Albums 
  418. and most of his singles. I've been a fan since around 1994. (Is there a 
  419. special way of introducing oneself here? Should I blunder along with age 
  420. and all that too?)

  422. I heard Moby on "DanceFM" on P3 this Sunday, then he gave a hint on what 
  423. to be expecting from him in the future. He said that he did absolutely 
  424. everything on his records by himself (instruments, mixing'n'producing 
  425. etc.) and therefore all his records reflected his current state of 
  426. mind.

  428. "In the future a wider variety of styles can be expected..." he said, 
  429. continuing with "... I understand being a Moby fan might be hard when 
  430. you don't know what to expect next ... ".

  432. He said he was to be reconed a dance/techno-artist but that noone should 
  433. be supprised if he was releasing a punk or even a classical track. (I 
  434. believe he then meant ambient pieces..???)

  436. Judging from the interview I think we can expect NY-house/NY-hip-hop 
  437. tunes with some rock and ambient tunes once in a while.
  438. It is also important to note that the house/hip-hop scene also 
  439. continously changes. Currently hip-hop and soul influence a lot of the 
  440. scene while more deeper stuff is just around the corner.

  442. IMHO I think Moby should've waited 6 months to release his album, maybe 
  443. we'd got a more deep-club oriented Moby (but that's only coz I like club 
  444. music better than hip hop...)

  446. Commercialism...hmm, he also said "...when y2k comming up I think it's  
  447. important to be politically correc...hehe.. aware ..."
  448. So I dont think Moby's gonna go just for the money. It'd of course be 
  449. lying to oneself to believe he's only into music to spread his view on 
  450. vegetarian life style and environmental issues, of course he is doing 
  451. music to make a living (and doing it quite good I've heard).
  452. In the early nineties he was more an idealist than he's now, and I think 
  453. more and more of his youth-idealism is fading, but I sincerely believe 
  454. he is true to his (IMHO moderated)principles of 
  455. anti-drug/smoke/pollution/animal killing/etc...
