Well that's normal for most people, around the heels for
me. You have to break them in and persevere with the pain -
it's then worth it cause they're so comfy and bouncy and if
you have steel toe-cap ones - they're ideal for those rowdy
gigs where you would otherwise get your toes crushed!

I actually got a cheapo pair of shoes from Sears...steel toed, comfy, and
(best of all) damn cheap!
At any rate, with Play upcoming, does anyone know if the singles will get
ANY radio play? The only Moby I've ever heard on the radio is TWIRFMR, and
that wasn't played much.

random thought- marilyn manson and hole are coming back here in march...1) i
plan to avoid the concert site...2) i guess the idaho christian coalition
didn't win much if manson came back!

Hope they don't fall apart too quickly!? I picked up my=20

pretty good nick. I'm a smug bastard sometimes - everyone=20
else I know got their equivalents for =A340 a couple of=20

steve - have you ever checked out a line of shoes by kenneth cole called
"unlisted"? they are all man made materials, at least the ones i've seen, and
very contemporary and stylish.

I wonder is he the guy responsible for the 'Vegetarian
shoe shop' in London? I keep meaning to make the effort to
find it, but as yet, no success - none of my present
footwear are worn out yet, I suppose. Maybe Moby should
compile a list of all the 'veggie' alternatives for
consumers in his next album cover?

I love Steel toes. except at the airport where the metal detector goes off
when i forget to take 'em off. Bought mine from Payless Shoes.
Anywayz.....i saw some Oldsmobile ad. which was playin what sounded like
"electronic" music, and i was wonderin if anyone knew who or what band
played it.
Radio stations in OKC and Okla. in general suck (really bad) cuz they
never ever ever play any Moby or other techno stuff. We had 1 station
that used to that except now its soft rock/sleep mode music 24/7/365
Maybe Moby ought to like throw a big ass rave. that be bad.
well....thanx for readin

Yikes! I had no idea that my comment would spark such an interest in
footwear. I seem to have been misunderstood. I am not looking for fake
leather, non-animal shoes, or alternate clothing that involves no
animals in it's production. All I said was that Moby, vegan, has a pair
of leather shoes, or did have them a couple of years ago. Thanks for the
kind considerations, however. Continue amongst yourselves.
While we're on the topic of Moby books, I saw on ebay a cookbook with
recipes donated by famous people. Moby has some vegan recipes in there.
Run On: March 29, Play: April 26
So, Moby Girl, why are they calling you that, specifically? Do you
always mention vegan ideas? Do you always play Moby songs? Are your
notebooks covered with Moby symbols? Do share.
I've just made a trade: my Might Dub Kats purple 10" & my $4 credit for
the Demons / Horses 12" and a UHF 12". (uhf on xl, most likely) Not bad,
eh? Anybody care to trade Moby stuff with me? I'm always surprised that
out of 200 potential traders nobody ever responds when I offer anything.
Ever. Baffling.
Ade, I can't get through to the Thanks II cover submissions page. What's
up?

Let's see... why am i Moby Girl to my friends... well, for one thing last
year
I was OBSESSED with moby. It was cool. I found ways to work moby into
conversations as well. Oh yeah. By the end of the semester, my biology
binder had a huge (new) moby logo on the back of it. On the front was a
Korn
logo, lamb, and also strawman (local toronto band. really cool). All hand
drawn
of course. Also, whenever I make mixed tapes, I tend to throw on some Moby
stuff... hehehe.... I'm bad. I'm slowly brainwashing my friends into
becoming
moby fans. it worked on my brother... he likes moby now, along with richie
hawtin, AFX and crystal method. a nice change from the death metal he was
into a year ago. Umm... I'm a veggie, but I'm not militant about it. I
bug certain
people about the amount of meat they consume, but that's just because we
tease
eachother back and forth. So that doesn't really have anything to do with
it.
Right now i'm listening to the jackal soundtrack... I normally wouldn't
have bought
it but it was $10 so i figured why not? I also saw Voodoo Child EOE for
only $11,
which pissed me off... because it's $27.99 brandnew :( I'm going to go
back and
buy it for my boi for his upcoming bday...
Anyway, the jackal. I'm not really all that impressed with Shining... It's
too similar to
his other stuff. bah. the ani difranco track is MUCH better... then
again, I adore
ani so my liking the peace and love mix of joyful girl is a given :) For
some reason the Apollo Four Forty makes me think of PWEI... at least the
vocals. Other than that, its
sorta a cheezy song... *shrugs* I never really liked apollo four forty
anyway. This soundtrack sorta sucks... I'm glad I only paid $10 for it.
Comments from anyone else?

I never heard the rest of the Jackal soundtrack, but
the Shining is one of my favorites, I really like that song.
Probably against popular opinion though- I don't like Honey much
at all. And Micronesia and Memory Gospel are not amoung my all time
favorites either. Honey doesn't do it for me.
I like the Rollo & Sister Bliss mix (wish I had the extended version of that)
HOWEVER- I think that it's more of a great Faithless song where
the bits of samples from Honey really tend to get in the way of
a much better song behind it.
I've never been critical of Moby before, but it was bound to happen
sometime that he put out something that I couldn't get into or at
least wasn't one of my favorites. I'm sure I will still like most
of the new album, it's just Honey that falls short so far.
get the flames out of your system if needed...

god damn the internet! i wrote this 4ever ago!
um, clay, like, whats wronng with taping shit of the radio? i mean,
the artists is getting royalties, so thats how they get paid, and
besides if they are a true artists they are in it for the music, not
the money. so moby wouldnt give a shit if i taped his stuff off the
radio. could you imagine i say "oh btw moby, i taped a song of yours
off this really cool radio station." hed say "WHAT!?!?!?!? YOU TAPED
MY MUSIC OFF THE RADIO?!?!?!?!? I NEVER WANT TO SEE OR HEAR OF YOU
EVER AGAIN YOU UNGRATEFUL SWINE!!!!!!"
anyway, the song i was referring to ttaping off the radio was a
bootleg jungle remix of a song by Monica, an r&b singer. it is only on
vinyl, 2 years out of print, unfindable, and really good, so i asked
if he could play it, and he hasnt yet. damn you dave!!!
ok, like, um, i had a mixtape traklist, but i gave the tape to my
friend, oh well, it was a phat mix too.
a "tour we'd like to see" courtesy of CMJ NMM:
20,000 leagues tour:Whale, Phish, Shark Quest, Seahorses, An Emotional
Fish, Reel Big Fish, Jellyfish, Country Joe And The Fish, Starfish,
Eels, Seaweed, Scuba Divers, Submarine, MOBY.
what, no FISHBONE or REEF?
um, like, where and when was richard hall born?
and today is OPRAH's birthday, 45 years. like, isnt mobys new song
like her theme song or something? i dont know, like, does she play it
on the show? when? has ne1 heard it?
could you believe it, they delayed skool 90 minutes. what? theres
almost nothing outside! bye

ps
i'm sort of in agreement with killpatient
in my long-term final feelings towards honey.
i mean it reminds me of stuff one does in an effort to ham it up and
have a yuk while making a track and stuff but as a serious offering
after
a great period of silence it just seems almost sophomoric.
and i certainly don't feel it warranted all the remixes in light of
the fact that didn't really vary that much....even.
i think the other tracks would've lent themselves better to such remix
efforts.
honey by itself would've been okay.
and i don't find myself having to go rehear it
often....or even occasionally......now that the novelty has worn off.
anyway
even the pumpkin seemed a bit goofy>>>>>>>>>
what's that gotta do with honey? except that pumpkins come from the
south and it's obvious the song has an old southern flavor to it.
it was indeed a departure.
