I never heard anything about Moby doing music for it, but I wouldn't be
surprised. I've also seen somewhere that he's the producer, which I
doubt. He does have a cameo. I'm assuming that 'Porn' and 'Platipussy'
are referring to the same film project, but I could be wrong. Here's the
only info page on it that I know of:

has anyone ever written a biography on moby? if so, i haven't heard about
it yet. but i think that would be cool. or if he wrote an autobiography,
that would
be even better. he's such an intelligent guy, i'd love to hear more of what
he
has to say about pop culture.
this has got me thinking... i think i might take a break from
autobiographical
fiction and maybe writing some stuff on the man... or maybe how his fans
are
well... obsessive? heh...
the idea got planted in my head when a conversation i
was having last night turned from what rude things my friend and i can
teach his
furby to say, to his writing a biography on the spooky kids (early manson
stuff.
shut up. he loves it. and so do i. but the new stuff sucks!! sell out!!!).
at first i
thought it was odd, a 22 year old boi who instead of focusing all his
energy on his
masters degree would be wanting to write a book... but then the inital
shock wore
off and its actually a cool idea.
so yeah... im starting to write down my thoughts on the man we call moby,
and
what i think about him and everything. so if anyone (including all you
lurkers who never say anything!!!!) wants to email me privately
about their moby experiences or whatever, by all means... if anything,
i'll make the
end product avalible to the list via my homepage. maybe this will make an
interesting thanks 2 companion... and btw, i know i won't make it in time,
but i've started work on remixing some moby stuff with some new programs i
got... so maybe i'll contribute to thanks 3...
heh.
am i obsessive, or what??
just call me "moby girl". oh wait. my friends already do...

Tom, I didn't see a download button for the new winamp skin on your
page, and you really should post the whole charcoal portrait of Moby on
your pages. (I've been telling him this for a long time now, actually)
It's very cool.
Kelly - sounds interesting. I don't have anything to contribute, but if
you pursue the idea be sure to mention it again a little further down
the road. I'll come up with something, somehow.
Is there any interest hereabouts in obtaining a UHF 12"? I'm considering
auctioning one. It's one of the original Instinct releases, in case you
didn't know. I found out about the early Moby releases from the Rare
liner notes, mostly. This one has UHF, Everything, Protect Write, and
Peace Head, I beleive.
What ever happened to the Moby FAQ? Who was working on it? I think it
was Jonathan Ruano. Am I right or wrong? Are you there?

Yes.. I'd have to say I am the same way.. It will take me a while longer
till I am able to part with my docs... Does anyone know a possible
alternative that looks okay and does not have huge heels? (I have knee

Another neat idea would be some sort of game.. since the name of the
release
is going to be "PLAY", or is that too obvious.. hmm... Does anyone know if
Moby will be touring with the release of it?

thanx

DVD would be great.. so if anyone can find any Moby related please let me
know..
Has anything on VHS even been released? In our house we are forced to
watch,
or at least hear, Lord of the Dance 24 hours a day, as my dad is having
some sort
of identity crisis.. Now he even gets up in front of us and tries to
dance! *gagg*
However, it truly beats waking up to "Sweating to the Oldies 1 & 2!" with
Richard
Simmons.. or listening to the "Titanic" themesong at work all the time...

Actually, the first time I put Disk into my Mac Quadra 800, it
completely destroyed my hard drive and i lost EVERYTHING. I was lucky
that I was able to save everything, but me being the genius that I am
put the cd back into my computer and BAM. Complete wipeout.
This time I was only able to save my writing (thank GOD), but I lost
just about EVERYTHING else.
Strangely enough, whatever the Disk didn't like on my Quadra must have
been wiped out because now the thing works fine.
It still pisses me off when I think about how much I lost, though...
MAN.

Dunno why "docs" are so popular, but I have worn the same brand and color(3
different pair though) for the past 5 years:
CHUCKS
yeah baby, the old reliable Converse All-Star Chuck Taylor high tops. Don't
go for imitations people, buy the best, non-organic, durable and they look
damn cool without being trendy. Don't go for the psuedo-chucks though, that
is, only buy the high tops, not the low.

I (unfortunatly) own a pair of docs. they are currently collecting dust
because
a) they killed my feet and i have scars from them
b) stupid people have taken a liking to them and their a mansonite mainstay
(along with my fave band tshirts, stripey tights, cuttoffs, fishnet
shirts... bah!
which bugs the hell out of me
c) i'm saving up money to order a pair of mock leather boots from a "vegan"
leather
store i found on the net. i want the book bag too *drool*. anyway, i can't
really justify
wearing them. i feel sick when i think about putting them on my feet. its
weird tho,
i can wear my suede/canvas vans without a prob tho. but their almost shot
so i gotta get
rid of them soon. whatever.
anyway. docs have their time and place. like when my fave boi wears docs
and fishnets
*swoon*. he's a big meat eater, so he doesn't feel guilty about them at
all.

personally, i like the low cut converse all stars... i've worn my black
pair to death
and they're sooo comfy. i got a pair of kermit green ones in the fall, but
i haven't gotten
around to breaking them in yet.
i'm pretty sure i saw moby wearing a pair of hightop converse all stars
tho. I gotta try
and dig up that picture, to see if i'm right.
i saw another picture of him and he's wearing what look to be
crosstrainers. maybe
those are his leather shoes? i know i had a hard time finding complete non
leather
crosstrainers... it took me a whole summer to find them. now the only time
i wear them
is when i rave because they're so snazzy and give my feet the support they
need to
keep dancing for hours on end!
wow... this is pretty damn weird.
im starting a thread about moby shoes...
i AM obessive!!

I think docs are pretty cool, but overpriced. They were
a lot more durable and long-lasting in 'the old days'. Just
mass-produced and overpriced coz they're 'fashionable' to
most people these days.
Moby and leather shoes - no one's perfect, but at least
he's trying!
