Does anyone else find it annoying that all this new Moby stuph is coming
out on soundtracks for movies that you're not even planning on seeing?
Well... I know I don't want to see Permanent Midnight or Playing by Heart.
Or at least not in theaters. $8.50. Ick.
I'm crossing my fingers that Porcelain comes out as a single or Moby
releases ILTS vol. 2. i don't want to pay $20 for a soundtrack when i
could pay $6 for a single or $20 on a cd full o' moby. does this make me
any less of a moby fan? i hope not...

I don't agree completly... I always keep a blank tape in my stereo and hit
record when I hear something cool so I can identify it later and then buy
it. Thinking about it... I have a song that I *still* havent identified,
two months later... and if i could find out who the band is, i'd rush out
and by the cd.
ACTUALLY... anyone see the movie Fear? the one with mark walberg who stalks
his girlfriend and tries to kill his father? when the girl goes to the
"rave" with her friend where she meets this sicko, that song is playing in
the background. IDENTIFY! PLEEZE!!! I'M BEGGING YOU!!! i've been trying to
place it for a year, i only got it on tape a few months ago in the middle
of the night :(
oh wait. this wasn't on topic, was it?
lemme think... moby content... moby content....
I have decided that EOE is perfect study music...
it's replaced Orb in my stereo as study noise.
yeah moby!!

and thats it for their moby stock. lucky you. (altho they do carry PWEI &
KMFDM stuph for a decent price....) i have to go all the way downtown to
the HMV superstore or wait till i go visit american friends before i can
find anything i already don't have. meh. that's living in canada i guess.

I don't know if it ever happened, but when I was on the list last year,

a rave or a party. Did that ever happen? If not, let's do it. It would
be a lot of fun.
That's enough for now.

The new Moby song Porcelain is off of the Soundtrack: Playing By Heart,
(or should I say there is where the song is available right now). I have
not heard the song yet, I am still waiting to hear it.
I agree with comments about Dave the Wave's last show, no big whup! So
does anybody else have any suggestions on how to hear Moby's new song?

Subject: (mobility) Flipper to Hell Drunk
I'll answer some questions.
The Clash song that Moby covered is "Straight To Hell." Heather Nova
sings. I forgot who she is associated with.
Moby does drink a beer here and there. He's not a totally rigid puritan.
As a matter of fact, he admits to having a pair of leather shoes in his
closet. (gasps! from one corner of the room)
Somebody asked about Flipper. He played either backup guitar or bass for
them on tour for about 2 or 3 weeks. Same situation with Ultra Vivid
Scene, if I remember correctly.
Disk runs beautifully on a DOS system with Windows 3.1 or 3.11. If your
operating system is Windows (i.e. Win95 or Win98) then good luck. You
have to really jump through the hoops to get that sucker running.
There's a page about running Disk in Win95 at www.moby.org in the
reviews area, I think. Sometimes obsolete isn't.
Somebody wants to know where to buy Demons/Horses. I found one copy on
CD and one on 12", both UK vendors. If this isn't good enough for you,
try searching for 'dance music store' and other variations on that.
You'll turn up the independent shops' links, where the treasures hide in
lonely little record stores. Good luck.
http://www.action-records.co.uk
They have Demons/Horses on CD for just under 3 pounds.
http://www.replay-records.com
They have the D/H 12", plus tons of other Moby records. Records only.
One of which is a Honey promo with the Risk & Dark mixes. Worth your
while. Ask them if the Hymn promo vinyl has the rare mixes, the one
listed here might just be it. I want the CD of them, myself...
I'm going to ask again: Will anybody trade me a yellow/brown Hymn CD
single, the remixes one? I'll trade you *almost* anything you could
want...
I think a promo for Play that would be much cooler than posters,
postcards and flats would be dog tags! Moby dog tags would be very cool.
Not military pressure stamp tags, but gold-painted engraved ones. Yeah.
Sleep well,
Steve
