When i first saw moby it was outside and the show was great but then
it just got better, it started to rain and it became the most
incrediable thing that has ever happened to me. Honestly it was like
having sex with music. (sorry for the mental pic!)

Hey peeps.
I know I've been quiet lately. Anyone else feel like doing my homework for
me?
Anyway, I'd just like to say that my brother is now an official Moby fan.
*evil
grin* its fun warping younger siblings. He's almost completely over his
death
metal phase, and he's finally starting to appreciate punk. I think I'm
going to
have to slip Animal Rights into the CD player the next time we're driving
around
town...
Oh yeah. Has anyone else experienced this? My mom has gone completely
nuts
over TWIRFMR... She liked it the first day I bought AR, but lately if I've
been listening
to it in my room while typing up stuff for skool (two computers. gotta luv
it. hehehe)
she'll come into my room and start singing along with the song. Granted,
she
normally gets the lyrics messed up and sings something along the lines of
"that's
when i go get my gun", but still, the fact is that she's singing. a moby
song. well,
a moby cover... but still. she's SINGING AND DANCING TO A SONG THAT I LIKE!
AGGGHHHHHH!!! I'm afraid.
Next topic. Does anyone else think it would be a kickass idea for moby to
do a New
Order cover? I'm thinking, Blue Monday (okay I know its my fave new order
song... gimme
a break!!) *shrugs* I think it would be cool. New Order is one of my
faves. Moby is one
of my faves. Why not put them together and see what happens? If anything,
he can
make up for the Orgy cover of blue monday... thats umm... interesting...
Hey, while I'm
at it, I think Moby should do Boys Don't Cry by the cure... man that would
be such a
trip... Okay I'll stop. 80's music is cool. I'm so looking forward to the
billy idol tour.
My friends and I are going to be right up there in the front because billy
rawks! hehe
nevermind...

(who would play everything is wrong, its short; to the point; and beautiful
and
say its all mine because its her fave song right now to a crowd of non moby
fans)

Well, he has done NDF by Joy Division...Perhaps a New Order song is the
perfect next step...I'd say 1963, tho...more potential to it...

nope
Anyway, I've got a laundry list of Moby stuff.
First, I want to compliment "Tone Matrix". I d/loaded his MP3 version of
Myopia (Tone Matrix) and I love it! Good going, especially on the
Spaceballs sample(s), infact I'm listening to it right now, unfortunately my
head phones suck, the right ear is out, but I did listen to it on my large
speakers and it kicks ass, love it.
Anyway, I have a suggestion for the [defunked?] thanks and thanks II
releases: why not make all tracks available in mp3 format. I have a CD
burner, or at least access to one, so if I want them on CD I can always
transfer the tracks, but I don't necessarily want to wait so long. Is this
possible for anyone who has a copy of Thanks I and for the artists of Thanks
II?
Finally, I saw a friend in the hall today of one of our buildings ( I go to
the University of Nebraska at Lincoln) and the guy that he was with happend
to identify me as Chris "Moby" Bourke. Apparently being a Moby fan is
unique enough to be characterized in such a manner?!?! Anyway, he claimed
that he has been playing Moby, in limited quantities on our school Radio.
Though I have never listened to our school radio, and in fact haven't listen
to the radio period in over two years(just CDs in my car), I wouldn't have
known this. So for anyone in the Lincoln, NE area, I think the Frequency is
92.3, KRNU.
Don't know the quality or quantity, but I thought I would share this
antecdote with you all.

These 2 CDs are not defunct as you so claim. Although I do not know the
exact specifics concerning the Thanks2 progress (Greg? update us please!?)
The main reason no progress has been made on the re-release for Thanks1 is
that I have yet to send Greg the needed materials. (over break, I promise)
> why not make all tracks available in mp3 format.
because the CDs ARE coming out. eventually. patience is a
virtue...especially with these projects...
Does anyone have any ideas of what tracks will be on Moby's upcoming album?
Maybe that one track he always plays in his live show, but has never
released? (the name escapes me..."I Need You"???) Please don't tell me
"Honey", because, well, duh!

When i uploaded my two mp3s, Greg emailed me saying that he has
2 other tracks other than mine, and that things are moving, but slowly..
Basically its just everyone is very busy..
But hopefully we'll get everything done eventually.

Not too sure, but i think "I Need You" is something Moby likes to save
for his concerts.. Even tho it is a kick ass track.

Subject: [Fwd: Moby [Mobility] mailing list - please announce!]
Well gang, here's some holiday cheer from our old friend at CNotes.
He's not currently subscribed to the mailing list but he's tried helping
me out in the past and the list on a promotion.
When I first read the attached email I didn't notice the part where it
mentions "all first-time buyers" receive $10 off their order. So not
noticing the "first-time buyer" thing, I tried it...
I clicked on the link in the email. It brought me to Music Boulevard
where at the top of the page I noticed a little icon saying something
about getting $10 off. I clicked on that. I soon found out that it was
an offer for first time buyers only. Remembering the email I decided to
continue and try shopping for a CD anyway. When it came time to check
out... on the 2nd confirmation screen... the $10 discount showed up!
I made the purchase and the receipt reflected the discount even though I
shop there on occasion and already have an established account.
Yippee! Figuring that the link worked, I returned to the email that
Greg sent so I could forward it to the list. It was then that I FINALLY
noticed that the offer was for first time buyers all along.
I'm assuming that by clicking both links the offer was given.
Use it as you like. =)
Cheers!

Ergh - I don't understand - THIS IS NOT DEFUNCT. Why does everyone keep
thinking it's dead? Did I miss some post somewhere?

Cool.

Okay, listen, as of RIGHT NOW I have a whopping total of 4 tracks, donated
by two people (Andrew and Eric). Although the web site isn't up (I know,
I know) the FTP site is, and has been, for a while now. Did I botch
something somewhere?
So, to clear everything up:
1. "Thanks I" *WILL* be re-released, but I need to recieve it first.
2. "Thanks II" *WILL* be done, but we need tracks to put on it.
So, does anyone see a problme with making the cut-off date for II January
15th? That's well over a month from now - will that work?

I have 4 or 5 remixes I'd like to submit for Thanks 2.
I can only submit these on audio cassette however.
Is this going to be a problem?
If not, where do I send them to?
The tracks I've done are as follows:
- -Next Is The E (Next Is The Speed)
- -Drug Fits The Face (SDi's Abstinence)
- -Bad Days (Telepathy Teknotika)
- -Say It's All Mine (SDi's Ozone Mix)
- -Everything (Progressive Mix)
Thank you

Ergh. We'd love to have your mixes, but audio tape is going to KILL us.
Is there ANY chance you can stick these on a burned CD, or ANY electronic
format? By the time we go from original -> tape -> re-sampled -> CD
it is going to sound like complete ass.
Is there anything I can do to help? (we'd love to have them)

btw, ubl's store looks suspisiosly like amazon music.....speaking of
amazon, my moms books are there....look for martha seif simpson, if
you have some time to waste....
i meant to say a whole bunch a shit yesterday, but yahoo email fucked
up. dammit!!!!
on amp last week, the first klip they played was the new plastikman
vid, skizophrenik. maybe theyll make it a habit of the first video
being the latest from a bald guy named richard.
so you want polls, eh? yes, i think this list is DESPARATELY in need
of some polls. well, soon itll be time for like "1998 year in music
awards" and such. but ill hold mine off till later...after chanukah,
when i get some new cds...
moby related.......um, uh,
okay, if you could ask moby one question, what would it be? mine would
be about the honey video, "what is that video about, and why are you

two part questions count.
and possibly someone (probably me) will compile them and store them
for the next time someone interviews thu man.
'k?

if moby had a name, what would would it be and would you call it to
